I only came across you guys on Easter Sunday, and, much to my wife's annoyance, I have binged watched the whole series. A great series this is too, it shows the highs and lows, and all the bugs associated with a build of this kind. No corners cut, lots of problems, all of which were overcome with good humour, where lesser mortals would have given up on more than one occasion. Looking forward to all the shiny bits end now. Geoff (Buckinghamshire)
I thought the wheels were going to look silly modern large on such an old car but they look absolutely perfect. My goodness you have a wonderful vision young man! 🙏
To be honest, I was nervous that you had gone the wrong way with wheel design and size, but you guys floored me! I couldn’t have in my wildest dreams come up with what you did! Bravo! Belisimo! I would love to build one of these at some point if possible. ❤❤❤
Wheels look GREAT!!!! It is probably a lighting thing, but it looked like the bottom edge gap of the left hand door was not straight and true. Looked kinda "wavy" to me. Must be my imagination (or my cataracts!).
OMG F$*K me gently, what can I say, could have? should have gone with the multi spoke, - monoblock are in and you have smashed it Andy - 14 out of 10 and the peace to the resistance floating centre caps... stunning mate. I have been look for the last 3 years to get a set of wheels with floating wheel centre's, even been in touch with the guys at RDB LA for a set, found some caps on a website from USA reviews not great well over £100 + shipping so please, please, please tell me were I can get some wheels and caps. Next question is what rubber are you putting on these fine rims.... prep on the body work looks superb - which/what automotive paint manufacturer paint are you using (CoLab) do they use any or stick to one manufacturer and if so who?.... I really need to see this car, when done...can't wait... thank you, thank you, thank you, getting so close, did anyone guess the colour?
@@geoffshilton6998 just a bad choice of words, the donor car is a SLK underneath, so do you really consider this an accurate “REPLICA” It’s got air suspension, fog lights grafted onto the front grill, modern electronics and ECU, if this was a period correct replica, would it have any of these things? Come on Geoff.
'just a bad choice of words' 😂I know what its got as watched from day one. Externally it was doing a good shot at being a replica but no longer. 19's will look awful and wouldn't be at all surprised if they're an April Fools prank!! but as I said , each to their own, your opinion is yours and mine is mine. End of. No one has died.

Been loving this recreation but ..... To each their own . Original Rudge wheels were 15" and perfect.
In my opinion 19" is simply too large.
This is a restomod, not a replica.
Therefore changes are to be expected.
So why does the video headline say REPLICA ?
