One of the few things I knew about Dark Souls from friends before I got into it was Ornstein's and Smough's music. So imagine my excitement when I heard this music upon seeing Anor Londo for the first time. I immediately went "OOOOOHOHOHOHOHOHO I KNOW WHO'S WAITING FOR ME THERE."
This is one of those scenes in a game that just stick with you. That reveal, just when you're starting to wonder "What's left? I feel like I've seen everything." It just does everything so well.
This sequence only got more interesting, now that Dark Souls III has been out. Being able to directly compare the geography between both games makes it a lot easier to understand the world of DS3.
when i got to Anor Londo, i only had 6 estus left, so i immediately went back. those winged imp looking things must've been like "you've gotta be squidding me"
Truly a work of art the memories I remember when I first saw this my jaw dropped on its Beaty and it was bone chilling you go from a church in ruins to a fucking swamp filled of poison to climb a castle where each turn you make can kill you to fight a giant then to be brought to a city built on sunlight and glory was truly one of the best feeling I think in this game and then once you feel happy that maybe there is hope....................BOOM that warm feeling of accomplishment get hammered and impailed by the dragon slayer and the executioner -__- and don't get me started on those fucking archers .......-________-
I've seen this cutscene on multiple challenge runs But I never heard that the theme for Ornstein and Smough plays I can't stop thinking about that and I'm so excited to fight them Even though I've seen a lot of this game playing it still feels special
I need a video where there is a compilation of all the area reveals throughout these games. Like I still remember walking into Drangleic Castle in the rain. Too fucking cool.
@@JungleJuiceJoey Sulyvahn took over Anor Londo and named it Irithyll. Most of Anor Londo's buildings were destroyed, but the main castle remains still.
Gorgeous view ahead

Meanwhile the dlc: “that’s it, YOU’RE GOING TO THE ABYSS”

Ishina
Well...
It did not disappoint.
@neutronsareawesomeLeyndell is my Nr. 1 Castle Area in Games now
@KingKrebin I saw Anor Londo and thought that it might've been a city with some sane people. Boy oh boy, was I wrong.
*Come on and slam!*
Yeah I thought castle was decoration. I was just shocked when I saw I have to enter it

Beautiful and epic moment. Finding it in ruins in Dark Souls 3 was a real gut punch.

#1 thing I want to see in remastered
It's the same, only more refined.
When I saw this in game it was literally jaw dropping
i have already seen anor londo and it was still jaw dropping
I've seen this cutscene on multiple challenge runs
But I never heard that the theme for Ornstein and Smough plays
I can't stop thinking about that and I'm so excited to fight them

I remember seeing anor londo for the first time and thinking "Thats a huge bitch!"
Always the same chills when i see this scene
So beautiful than any other games I've ever played

I realy like this alternat version of O&S theme
One of the greatest location's of all time
With my playstyle I listen for movement tons and Anor Londo freaked me out with the weird footstep noises
I need a video where there is a compilation of all the area reveals throughout these games. Like I still remember walking into Drangleic Castle in the rain. Too fucking cool.
Best moment in DS 1
Although DS3 is my favorite, I think this is my favorite moment across the whole series
Amazing Chest ahead
Well. Yes. th-cam.com/video/vYgjqWU6bHA/w-d-xo.html
The Moment when you relise, that the game just started
O&S's theme playing as you enter, just a *perfect* moment
I'll never forget that first moment!
That is Beautiful Just Beautiful
this game is freakin incredible
Welcome to Saratov
Thanks! Missed that scene .
Oops . just figured out it's a 2-way teleport.. well thanks anyway :D
Best introduction in the trilogy
so basically irythill of the boreal valley but before the dead of the warm sun
Well, kinda. Irithyll is Anor Londo but the sun here is an illusion by a deity.
LimiT wait, if irithill is anor londo, then what is anor londo in ds3?
AJ A the castle, irythil is the city (i guess)
@@geoffroypons9143 then why isnt it called irrithyl in the first game?

in my opinion, Anor Londo is much more gorgeous than Dangleic Castle
They both gave me goosebumps, it would have been nice if Drangleic Castle got a cutscene too
Behold lord gwyn's great rodeo!
