Traditional Chant - Miserere Mei Deus - (Latin and English)

Miserere Mei Deus is the beginning Psalm 51, one of the penitential psalms of King David, which is showing his remorse after having committed murder and then adultery. Gregorio Allegri’s (c. 1582-1652) "Miserere" is perhaps the most well known version of Miserere out there, this version however is another rendition.
For the original Allegri Miserere the detailed score for the various choral parts of the music was kept secret so that it could only be used in the Sistine Chapel during Holy Week due to its beauty. This was the case for a long time until one day a fourteen-year-old, by the name of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, witnessed a performance during Easter and then subsequently wrote down the score from memory, allowing others around the world to reproduce it.

secundum magnam misericordiam tuam.
Et secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum, dele iniquitatem meam.
Amplius lava me ab iniquitate mea:
et a peccato meo munda me.

et peccatum meum contra me est semper.
Tibi soli peccavi, et malum coram te feci:
