The history of this video is about the spiritual fight in which all men are engaged and that has to be waged with the right weapons. This lesson has to be learned by our "hero" in this little film! He represents our often inappropriate pretence to fight the mystery of iniquity with human means. But human courage turns out to be insufficient in this battle! It was the Cross that broke the power of Evil. That is why the chant from the Medal of St. Benedict resounds throughout the video: "Crux sacra sit mihi lux" (The Holy Cross be my light). We sing it 33 times, corresponding to the years our Savior Jesus Christ dwelt on earth.
However, our "hero" is not alone. On his way he is spiritually accompanied by the " prudent virgins ". They take refuge at the Cross, knowing where to find true help. In the ruins of a church, where only the Cross enthroned on the top (a symbol of the present situation of our Holy Church) remains, they keep vigil and light the lamps, while waiting for the "warrior".
The latter, in the midst of his desperate flight from the lion's claws, having exhausted every last one of his arrows in vain, finds the decisive help: a priest who gives him the weapons he needs for his combat: the cross and the Holy Rosary. He himself makes use of the authority conferred on him to drive the enemy away: "Vade retro, Satana!"
Before leaving, the priest hands our "hero" some holy water. The fonts in the churches are to be refilled and this sacramental to be used as another weapon in combat. Thus, our "hero" becomes a "soldier of light" in the army of his Lord - he now knows which weapons to use in this combat!
In the meantime, the " prudent virgins " have found other weapons and spiritual aids: the Word of God and the Virgin Mary, who had to be freed from the dust of oblivion. She assists men in this combat!
Finally, dawn is breaking... After the darkness of this time, the light will come and the darkness will have to give way. This whole struggle must be permeated by trust in God. Indeed, it is not a fight with an open ending! It is not the darkness that will win, but the light.
We commend this little work to the Lord and His holy angels, hoping that it will be of spiritual benefit to all who come in contact with it.

I grew up Roman Catholic but left the church decades ago. I've studied and been exposed to so many more things in the world. Then I come across this. I start following along and singing the Latin. I have a feeling that fills my chest like its going to burst. I start crying, even as I type this. i don't know what going on with me...
Please members of this community help me by praying for my family and I. We live in a small town in Mexico in the state of Jalisco where a drug cartel has come to hide and our once rather serene lives have changed negatively. Pray for us so that these people go away from our town and leave us alone. Please St. Benedict help us! Bring back the peace we once had. Lord have mercy on my family and the people of my hometown. Protect my siblings from the bad intentions people might have against them.
St Benedict cast out all evil from our lives and our home. Break all generational curses, black magic, witchcraft. Protect us always.
I'm not Catholic, but this sounds 10000x better than gospel music, so I'm going to listen to this kind of music for now. Latin makes me shiver

Back then, i was so scared to listen this cus i thought this chant was not in the scripture. I was a protestant back then..i was so curious of catholic teaching. At the age of 23, i saw it was an oppurtunity to learn all the history the old Church and meet the faithful people. Now im converted to Catholic and I am so happy that i am able to discover this. I have never felt this joy when entering the catholic church. And this song i listen everywhere i go. It strengthen my soul to fight the bad spirits. We live in multidimensional world. So the battle is daily. Jesus is in our heart. And always protect us everywhere we are as long as we believe Him!

No soy católico, pero está canción me salvó la vida. Tuve un experiencia muy profunda en uno de mis viajes por Latinoamérica. Tuve un sueño en donde escuchaba esta canción, en mi sueño un coro me rodeaba y entonaba esta canción. Recuerdo estar viendo en mi sueño una imagen de Jesucristo sangrando por cada poro, mirándome con amor y misericordia. En ese momento de mi vida estaba muy deprimido y llevaba pidiéndole a Dios que me diera luz.
This prayer is so strong. It has protected and conforted me, so many times, i cannot count. Minutes ago, my wife had a negative sleep experience and did not want to sleep. We repeated the chant several times(even feeling goosebumps, like there was a negative influence presente, reluctant to leave the room. And i put san Benedictus medal on her hand.)and she could finaly sleep, wile praying.
When I was going through cancer treatments I came across a St Benedict medal from a deceased priest; once I had that I had no more consistent pain from my surgery incisions. Not that ALL pain left me, but the consistent pain was just ... gone. I carried that with me for a couple years after surgery and still have it at my desk today. God Bless!

Amo esta oración el demonio le teme al latín no lo soporta si hay uno cerca se aleja al escuchar oraciones en latín ! Desde que escucho oraciones en latín mi vida a cambiado a mejor ! Orar en español no está mal pero no tiene el mismo poder que el latín por eso es una lengua muerta por que saben que es poderosa !
