It almost feels like companies like mooer, Nux and other slightly lower priced brands are updating there modellers every two years, and really packing in features and quality tones. It's all quite exciting in my opinion.🙏
One of my students last year had the GE200. Really solid unit. While I don’t really like the market trends implied by built in battery, for an affordable unit that does seem like a great feature.
I love my AF3/FC12 rig.. but I've always wanted an inexpensive (relatively speaking) alternate modeler for rehearsing and gigs with lower budgets.. this might be that alternative.. good review LT!
Elephant in the room - a few independent reviewers noted, that expression pedal on the older brother - GE1000 - is unusable. It "kinda" works, but tracks position change with such a delay that makes it a no-go in live applications. Wonder whether it is any better on GE200 Pro.
I like Mooer a lot, mainly for the ease of use. Which is not something to take for granted when looking at a modeller. Would you say that this is a good upgrade from the Ge250. If you have sound quality in mind? Stompbox is an huge improvement, but sound speaks!
The problem with Mooer, is that they do not update their gear. The Mooer GE300 is now a defunct ornament due to lack of updates. I will never buy another Mooer product as their customer support is non existent and 50% of their support website fails.
The video literally states this is an updated Mooer GE200....that everything has been upgraded....there is more footswitches, there is more ability to assign footswitches, there is more morphing with the foot pedal, there is updated modelling algorithyms, there are more app models, there are more effects...amongst other updates. So saying there is a lack of updates means you didnt watch the video.
@@jtf2danthis is not a software update for the original unit. That is what he meant. This is an updated unit. There’s a difference. You have to buy a new unit to get the updated version.
Did you like what it did when you bought it? Buying products and hoping that updates will make it what you want is kind of taking a big gamble. When I bought my Mooer Preamp Live it did everything I wanted. I did get an update, but just bonus stuff to me since it already performed as expected when I purchased it. The same with my Line 6 HXFX. Already did what I wanted but they’ve updated it several times after and I got some new effects and better efficiency. I didn’t need it, but it’s great I got those for free.
Further evidence that if you can't find a modeler these days that suits you, you really might not be trying. So many options at good price points that sound good, like this one.
Mooer stuff sounds a little dry and out dated unfortunately. My headrush mx5 sounds richer and fuller. I bought the Mooer preamp pedal and it was garbage. Headrush and Hotone are great.

I know, right!? The version of this with the battery is a super fun portable rig

how about a Flamma FX200 vs Mooer GE200 Pro shootout video LT?
17:55 word! I’m looking at you HX Stomp 👀… my BluGuitar Amp1 Iridium goes to the top left, so go figure… 😅

I found this one wasn't great straight out of the box, but there's a calibrate feature in the settings. Doing this massively improved it.

Leon, my man! Can I put patches from GE200 into the GE200 PRO? Tks...
I wished they put the guitar input on the side of the unit.

I agree 100% with you, I just sold my mooer ge300 and not going back to another mooer product

I agree 200% ... sold my ge 200 and ge 300 lite due to lack of updates ... ge 300 lite was always buggy ...

You can use only one effect in each block...so limiting

This modeler puts the “digital” back in guitar tones.
It has 5ms. latency while GE250,GE300 has 1.8ms. latency. The new model actually downgraded from the old model.
Mooer sucks big time.
