Yes it was a long and difficult question maybe he's afraid to answer it but he could give me his opinion it's just an opinion not a fact. I hope I hear from him.

I've just been diagnosed with C V at 56 probably due to my poor posture and my 35 year career as a plumbing and heating engineer. I've been to see spinal surgeon and done plenty of research but your explanation has given me the best understanding of exactly what's going on and what best I can do, i also feel a bit more positive for my future. I just turned 40, but been diagnosed with arthritis for few years now. Symptoms are getting worse quickly. I been told that I may have spinal stenosis, I am afraid of aging because I know that it will only get worse. I am not a smoker or drinker, just a history of hard work, injury and stress accelerated the deterioration of my physical body.

@@AkshdeepSinghoney Hello, I still have days where I’m in pain but things aren’t as bad as when I left this comment. The #1 thing I did was work on my posture since I work at a desk, in front of a computer and have a bad habit of slouching. I also started using electric heating pad whenever I feel the pain starting to flare up in my neck. I also sleep with a contoured neck pillow at night. These three things helped the most for me.

Spondylosis and bone spurs are a bone remodeling disease. Some AS moves very quickly - a few years. It’s also related to Kibselia bacteria. Also being too thin can cause spondylosis. Since there is less support from muscles.

Same but I am getting better. I am not a doctor. I noticed my posture was horrible and started paying attention to how I was standing or sitting. I watched a few too many videos and now I am saving up for a shikibuton and a kotatsu. I have the plans for a platform bed and I think there will be plenty of room for storage, or the dogs new nap spot.. its yet to be determined. Anyway you can check out world back injury rates and I will save you the trouble. In japan, most people sit on the floor, sometimes with flat cushions. The also sleep on the floor, with straw mats under something like a super thick quilt. I am going to give it a try. At least its less expensive than a 'good' mattress. It seems there is a learning curve to sitting on the floor. I had my neck get much worse but I think its getting much better now. Stretching is helping, I have trouble not overdoing it and spent a few bad says thinking my head might actually fall off. Atlas problems are scary.

One thing that seems to help a lot is range of motion stretching, real slow and easy still sounds like rice crispies. Feels weird too, sometimes bad sometimes good. I guess it spent a lot of years in the wrong spot so I don't push it

Hi Dr Rowe, I am 66 and was extremely fit up to August 2022. In the last 10 years I was hit by cars twice while riding my push bike. These events caused multiple fractures and whiplash. As of last year my neck started to hurt a bit and over the last 8 months I have been getting worse and the pain is chronic. My pain management doctor keeps prescribing Nortriptyline which is not helping at all with the pain. He even increased the dose, but it isn't helping. The accident insurance won't cover physiotherapy or chiropractor. I have tried hot and cold packs, going for gentle walks, riding the exercise bike at home but I don't seem to improve. I told my doctor that I feel that I have cervical spondylosis and asked him to do new imaging but he replied that there is no need for imaging. The pain is also felt in my groin and feet. Since I am very inflamed, are these stretches safe to do? My neck is very stiff. Thank you.

    • @DrRowe

The leg pain would not be directly caused by cervical issues. This would be most likely a lumbar (lower back) problem, such as a lumbar disc herniation. Get it checked out by your doctor or chiropractor, since this is a new issue and needs attention.

Watching your videos from India & You're doing God's work. I'm 26 & I have neck pain most of times, nowdays even while I'm not working on computer. My MRI report says
    - Disc dessication noted at C5-C6 & C6-C7 Level.
    - Small Posterior osteophytes disc complex noted at C5-C6 level.
Can you tell me is this video & Its exercises are right for me? & can you suggest some more link of your videos regarding my issue. I also face tingling & numbness in my hands especially the left one while I use my phone laying on bed & also faces muscle twitching on hips, back calf, biceps etc sometimes during the day & night. And also headache sometimes mild to moderate. Thanks again!

I have stenosis and spondylthesis in C5, 6 and 7. I can turn my neck into any of those positions but the problem is that if I do any kind of neck stretching exercises of this type, the following day my neck is so agitated as if the cells are vibrating, it's hard to describe the symptom but it also makes me have emotional rage.

Im 30 and i feel an excruciating pain in my left upper back side that runs to the side of my neck.I had to hold my neck when the pain strikes. My left arm and hand are tingling also. I went to a physical therapist and diagnosed me with myofascial pain syndrome . I have therapy twice a week and next week will be my 6th and last session. The pain has lessen but it ddnt goes away completely,I can still feel the throbbing pain most especially when am laying down. The doctor said I have to see an OB or oncologist if their is no improvement after session which scares me a lot.He is suspecting a possible heart problem or cancer which i dont believe . I think the one shown on this video is what I am suffering right now.

I am feeling a lot better now but I still get that throbbing pain between my shoulder blade that radiates to my chest and this usually happens if I do strenuous activities.I had an echocardiogram test and my heart is just fine.Whenever I feel that my shoulders tight I just do some stretching ,massage and apply hot compress.I avoid stress as much as possible cos I noticed it cause
burning sensation in my back to my shoulder.Hard for me to get an appointment to a physical therapist again cos it would require me to travel far and expensive.I live offgrid so doing home remedies is my only resort.

I have cervical spondylitis and at times are in agony with it. And apart from my visits to chiro practers and exercises and painkillers for overall OA nothing else has been suggested. When my neck cracks it provides relief...and comes on with exercise ( the cracking) it's painful and came about via intense headaches. An MRI scan detected it. I'm interested in learning all I can because after seeing a neurologist several years ago, and being given painkillers there is not a lot known about it. I also have generalised osteo arthritis and because of previous DVTs in my ankles, lemurs both sides of body and lung the risks operations would provide is rare as in not many surgeons would look at my situation. Years with these conditions have all led to overall body muscle weakness and with no ops available at this time and being 66 I don't feel optimistic about my future life care under NHS practises. One recent hospital visit was because I couldn't stop my body from contorting and also felt like I was being strangled ( like the back of my neck was in a vice) panicking as I couldn't breathe either led me to ringing thr wrong authorities for help. I live alone with a pet...and the ambulance crew took all my stats and found them to be compromised leading to a stay in hospital. I also have diabetes 2 and had not been eating correctly then due to going through a bereavement process, loss of my late mum. I'm eating OK now though and monitoring blood sugars...but still feeling fatigued. This I find is the OA making me feel worn out. What I'm finding is labelling and that's easy to do. What I need is more constructive guidance to what is going on. Thank you for this video 😊

Twisting is the most “expensive” movement of the spine. My experience is to improve stability not mobility. Chin tucks are safe and if you want to work on lateral motion do isometrics only.

I have had gastritis and hyper acidity for some time. also since last year I have started to face difficulty swallowing and pain in throat and chest. Please advise if the pain and narrowing of the throat is due Cervical Spondylosis or is it due to due to some other reason.
