Best video out on the web using OEM parts. Followed the entire video up to 11:20/17:10 exactly and have a couple questions. What 12v did you end up using for power since stated all the ones in the passenger side fuze box will not work? Also, any closer pictures/wiring diagrams for the driver side door harness & placement of switches would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
Good stuff. I have an 06 work truck and bought some doors off a 2000. I labelled each wire by toning it but my problem is finding out whats what on my truck. Where did you get the diagram? Can you take some close ups?
Does the aftermarket alarm work like a normal alarm? Can i do the swap and then have somebody install an alarm system? Or will the wiring be diffrent since it didnt come from the factory with power locks?
@@BuiltByMike I figured it out with the wiring diagram. My ground terminal G driver side needed a better ground. I was testing using 2 dewalt batteries lol
I have watched your video several times, and read through your comments. I’ve viewed you links into the parts, and would appreciate if you could clear a few things up for me. On some of your parts links, they cross reference through 2006. What exactly is different in the later trucks. Just the harness? or is it the switches themselves that has to be an earlier year? Thanks for any advise, I have an 05 and just purchased 4 doors off the same year. I’m hoping to still be able to do this swap with the majority of what I just bought.
Harness, switches and door panels must be from earlier years. The regulator and door lock actuators are probably the same. 02 and up use the bcm to control the doors and they require programing which I heard is a mission.
Are those window switch wires are basically all you need for locks to work? I have 2000 gmc that came with manual doors and have now 99 doors with powers windows and locks. Thank you!
Is that 06-07 lbz? If so I have the exact same truck mines a 06 Duramax regular cab 4x4 white manual everything. I got some clean 02 door panels and switches. I’m gonna start doing the power window conversion once I gather all the parts I need
2002 should fall into the same category to. I'm do this swap also on my'02 ext.cab. I actually ran into the same issue with the passenger door power wire. Glad i found your video. coincidentally I'm doing it the exact same way also. I am using 2002 Tahoe denali switch's with the wood grain bezel. I grabbed the dash bezel also. looks pretty slick. Any other tips??
I got a 2007 classic truck. What year model would I have to get? Could I get all junkyard parts if I could find them? Would my wiring in my truck work?
I got wiring harnesses and door panels and switches from 02 Silverado, now to find my wiring diagrams I tried all data, any place you recommend I can find how to wire it up I have a 99 Silverado single cab
I got a 2004 Chevy 1500 single cab and I have manual windows how would it work like I need to buy whole new doors that were already electric windows or whag I’m confused I need help
Doors are the same you need door harnesses from a pre 02 truck and I have included links for the window motors and soor locks. Then you'll need to wire in a keyless door lock and wire the windows
I have about 500 to 600 in it. The door panels and interior being most of it. I think I paid 300 or 400 for the full grey interior. Bought everything else new on Amazon.
You have to understand how to read a wiring diagram. Then just a matter of running power and ground and running the wires from the drivers to the passenger side
Love your work. Your truck is sweeeeeet. You do great work. Wish my 2000 looked that good.
Thank you
I have a 2003 regular cab work truck, if I grab power windows off a 99-02 , this will work for me?
Yes

I used alldata diy for the wiring. I used a fuse from the drivers side
By any chance do you remember what Color wire was needed for the locks?
No idea
where’d you get the wiring diagram from? Looking to attempt this
Alldatadiy.com
Do you have a video showing the mirrors working on power?
Mirrors are manual. Making a harness for the mirrors is alittle more involved
Do any lights come on the dash after swapping the door panels to automatic windows
No. The truck has no idea they are there
@ I keep hearing story’s of lights coming on I wonder what you did that’s different?
@SergioArreola-d2o don't see why. I just feed power and ground to relays there is no body control modules
Good stuff. I have an 06 work truck and bought some doors off a 2000. I labelled each wire by toning it but my problem is finding out whats what on my truck. Where did you get the diagram? Can you take some close ups?
You need to feed the doors power and ground and make a cross harness to the other door
How can I do this on my 2002 Silverado?
Do you need to change the speaker wire even tho were running them thru amp and not stereo
If your running a amp I would upgrade the speaker wire
What year chevy did you get that center console from??
2015 plus
@BuiltByMike direct bolt in?
used the same 12v power supply off the distribution block under the driver side and it burnt up, any other recommendations
There was a couple of them down there if I remember correctly
another quick question do you have to run 2 relays on both sides or just on the driver side
Would you mind going over your wheels set up and where you got them from?
Those were asanti 22x10 I think I got them off ebay.
Thanks bro
Does the aftermarket alarm work like a normal alarm? Can i do the swap and then have somebody install an alarm system? Or will the wiring be diffrent since it didnt come from the factory with power locks?
Wiring has to go through the keyless module. Heck out my other video of my red truck. I explain the wiring better.
I can't get my driver switch to send 12V to the lt blue / tan wires for the pass window. Any suggestions?
Driver window works?
@@BuiltByMike I figured it out with the wiring diagram. My ground terminal G driver side needed a better ground. I was testing using 2 dewalt batteries lol
Nice video I've got the windows sorted out any chance you could explain more how you did the locks?
I have another video I just did on my other truck that explains it better. Look at my channel
@@BuiltByMike will check it out thank you sir

@BuiltByMike could you swap bcms with a truck that has power windows and locks?
Could a Yukon 99-02 door work with my Chevy 06 1500 ?
If your truck is manual yes. You need the older stuff. 03 and up can't work without the bcm.
Can you give me break down of everything I need to do the swap besides the door panels and switches?
Wiring harness in the doors. Regulator and lock actuators I bought new.
@@BuiltByMike thanks bro
I’m working on a 01 Silverado single cab. I need the wire diagram to the master switch. Please help
Best thing is go to all data diy. Com and pay the 20 for your truck or the donor
Are those 99-2001 switches? If so do they fit on 03-07 door panels?
You need 99 to 01 stuff.
Hello do you have a wiring diagram
Check out my newer video on my other truck I go over the wiring better.
What wheels are those?
Honestly can't remember
@@BuiltByMike gotcha, they’re a clean design
Do you still have the manual crank hardware ?
No

2002 might be a half year. As long as you grab the right ones you should be good.
You have any pictures of the wood grain?
Have a 2004 manual doors and bought 2 auto power windows w/locks doors complete. Will the wiring harness just plug and play?
No. You can't use post 02 parts
@@BuiltByMike Doors i bought are off a 2004 also
It's much harder to make work with the bcms and door modules. That's why you use the older trucks
You just need bcm the orange one ext cab....
@@jamespalmore6624 WHAT'S the link to 3d's auto. Never mind i found it. The bcm would need programed?
I have everything else done. I just need to know how to wire the locks up. I can’t find any other videos on TH-cam using factory harness and switches
You need a wiring diagram from your donor and Google 2 relay power lock relay wiring
@@BuiltByMike but should it be a positive or negative trigger to activate the relays
My truck is an 2000 so I got a bcm for a 03 so can I just get the doors then ? With power locks and windows
You don't want a bcm. Programing is a nightmare. That's why you want pre 02 stuff
So I order for this to work like this the door panels and switches need to be from a 99-01 ? I have a 2005 I want to do this
I bought 2 doors from a 06 suburban comes with everything, I’m guessing that won’t work
Nope. After 02 everything runs through the bcm and its a pain
@@rubenelmeromerogarza8186 yes it will I bought two doors of a crew cab. You need swap bcm no relays. You can use 06 door panels
I got a 2007 classic truck. What year model would I have to get? Could I get all junkyard parts if I could find them? Would my wiring in my truck work?
You have to wire everything. You need to find parts from a 99to 02. 03 and up won't work as they require a bcm
What were the wires you used from the switch to the locks
You need to look up a wiring diagram from your donor truck
So if my trucks a 2000 I can take doors off of a power window and lock 2000 and swap them without having to do all of the wiring ?
You need to do all the wiring
You know anywhere online I can get the harnesses for the project besides a donor?
Check on ebay. Make sure it's a 02 or older

Do you have lights on both switches
No

Would you make a harness for $300
Can I use 02 4.3 wiring diagram?
As long as it has power windows
we need to know the colors for the driver side. what’s the colors for switches and motor
You need to look up the wiring from your donor as they can be slightly different
How much did this cost and is everything still going strong? I got an 05 and been looking into this.

where are you from i have a chevi 03 if i could put them
You need pre 02 parts as 03 and up goes through the bcm
where are you located mela could you be?
Do you have the link to the wiring diagrams
No need to go through alldatadiy
Gonna give this a go tonight. Also, who makes those wheels? They look pretty dope
Asanti
How you get the 2015 seat on ?
Cut the existing bracket to fit
Did you have to add relays for windows or just add power to both sides on green wire?
Just power. Relays are in the switches
I got the switches working at each door for the windows windows… but I can’t get the passenger window to go down or up with driver side switch
Where are you located?
Would this work on a 06 Silverado 1500
This is a 06 . You need 99 to 02 parts
What did you do to your dashboard it looks sick
It's called flock
Do you have a remote start on this truck, or did you wire the security system directly to the lock actuators
Directly to dock locks. No remote start.
great job, I'm doing it the same way!
what wheels are those
Asanti
Can you break down the door lock steps
Google 2 relay power door locks
You bought all the parts from the dealer
I only bought the lock actuators and regulators new from rock auto
How much would u charge me to do this?
It won't be cost effective. It's about 8 hours of work to do it nice
Where are you located?
Punta gorda
Man im struggling rn on trying to do this . I want to do it the way you did it but I'm in need of help.
You have to understand how to read a wiring diagram. Then just a matter of running power and ground and running the wires from the drivers to the passenger side
Would you make the harness for me if I paid you
It's very time consuming. Wouldn't be cost effective
I need the reverse. Power window to manual. Putting new doors on the old truck
All you need to use is all the manual window regulator and just abandon the wires
This is the worst Explanation ever!
