So glad that I didn't drop coin on that American Vintage II 60's Strat that I was mulling over last week.
The 60s pickups sound amazing. Didn’t get a chance to test them in person but glad I went for the 60s model. Sounds like they will nail Frusciante, Mayer and Hendrix with ease
Nice to see rosewood comeback
Oh Yeah! 🤘
I'm hoping this means a refresh of the road worn vinteras ❤❤
Not soon because they have to cash in the AVII.
LOL get this one and go on the road and wear em out 😂
I’m sure it will be $1500+
can listen to dagan rock out to mayer riffs all day
So can we! 🤌
11:33 I love that you left that in and didn’t edit it or redo it. 🙌😂
Got the Roadworn Vintera LPB Strat and love it, but might have to get the rosewood neck one, or a replacement neck if they come out with a Vintera 2 version…
Mexican Fenders/Charvels have upped the ante on fit & finish & priced over $1000.00. Period correct specs are a huge attraction.
Less than 8 years ago they were $500 I would expect them to step up if you are paying over $1000.
@@bluwngThey did step up. Find a guitar from 8 years ago with vintage appointments and quality anywhere near the Vintera II series.
@@dionysusthemadgod I was OK when Fender went from $500 to $600 based on improvements, 2 point bridge, new pickups, 22 frets and new logo, then suddenly $700,$800,$900,$100 with no significant change. First price hike was fair everything else is criminal.
The 50s model looks and sounds Amazing!!
I have the 60's Vintera Road Worn Lake Placid blue Stat and I love it !!!!
Me too!! Threw a bone nut on it, and it’s now perfect.
I never thought about changing the nut, what made you do it? Now I am thinking I should change me nut too?? @@troydavis1612
how heavy is it?
The 50s is such a great value. Fender have truly been adding more features for less money lately and I’m here for it.
I have a nice Vintera 50’s strat I changed to a Callahan bridge to pull the strings in a bit ,they were to close to the edge, might get the 60’s Vintera II and do the same .
Well.. I would love a comparison between these vintera II and Squire Classic vibes 50/60/70 even including plus some mods that make them still cheaper than the MIMs..
Every part of these are better than the Squier classic vibe. Squier is a beginner guitar, these are professional respected guitars. Squires are good value but more likely to see them on school stages than pro stages.
Being from Lake Placid. I’m psyched for the Lake Placid Blue 60’s Strat.
The Russell Brand of guitars. I love this guy. Such a great player
Cant wait to hear the telecaster bass!
Wich amp did u play ?🔥
Are they fretboard edges rolled?
I like the sound of the rosewood better. The maple might sound better with alnico 3 replacement pickups.
I would hope this would mean that Rosewood will return to the Player Series models. I don’t have an issue with Pau Ferro however, it would be nice to see RW back on the entry level Mexican guitars.
I don’t suspect that will happen though, as they are probably not willing to cannibalize their sales.
I would assume most people would go for a player Stratocaster with a rosewood board over this Vintera II line unless they really wanted 7.25 radius or a more vintage color.
I read that the 60’s strat vintera II WILL HAVE SLAB ROSEWOOD FRET Bourd
Any main differences between the Vintera and the Vintera II? Thx.
Anyone know what model that sunburst strat is hanging in the wall?
It could be any sunburst strat, just with an alternative pick guard
How do these sound with an overdrive pedal being single coil???
They actually have more character than humbuckers when overdriven. Can be noisy tho ("60 cycle hum").
Will there be any vintera ii roadworn Stratocaster?
I want to know this, too
I’m waiting for the 50s Strat in candy apple red.
C’mon Fender
Is the rosewood board on the 60s Strat, a slab board?
Yes it is
Thank god that PF is gone from Vinteras. What’s the difference between the V2 50s and the 2019 50s? Tall frets?
I own a Vinteras 50s Tele, awesome guitar.
I love that 60s Strat as I’m after a Strat with Rosewood. Trouble is at €1200 I can get a used Fender USA for a few dollars more!
One problem here, the guy talks too fast and I can’t keep up!
I actually think I like the sound of the ‘50s over the ‘60s.
I think instead kf doing 3 eras between 50s 60s and 70s they should do 2 per era. Theyre not specific they just cover what was happening at a certain time. So 50s style strats would be the early ash maple board guitars or the early slab board strats leading to the 62 model year and the 60s style should be the early 65 era cbs guitars through to the maple cap late 60s models. They need to reissue an accessible hendrix style strat and in the process start offering a reissue of what was potentially the best strat. theres 2 golden eras for strats. The early slab boards and the early cbs era. A 65 maple cap is not only rare its a fantastic sound and the lower output if the grey bottoms might just be the best strat pickups ever made. The slab boards loved for the opposite reasons. Theyre higher output and warmer. But both of them had their merits. The 50s guitars are also incredible.
Gloss necks :( but glad to see rosewood boards again :)
Fortunately the poly coat can be sanded off 👍🏻
That middle pickup position is so under-used... It's perfect for chords imo.
Go MC5/ Sonic's Rendezvous Band!
Well played!
No lefties for a change. What a surprise
Yep 2023 is the slimmest choices for us lefties I've ever seen.
@davidkastin4240 I'm still waiting for some colour options in the player range. The colours haven't changed for 4 years now and neither have the squire classic vibe. I'd love a cream colour or green tele please fender.
Lefties are supposed to buy the last of the pau ferro stocks 😄
It would be nice if the player had a rosewood option now.
@@aperezdeal absolutely. The pauo fero has always looked too light and inconsistent to me.
Nothing for the leftys 😕
A grand for a MIM Strat ? Yikes
Fender priced things correct around 6 to 8 years ago. $300 for a Classic Vibe, $500 for a MIM and $1200 for an American strat also a few models in between. I’m sick of people saying Mexico is a great value alternative… it is freakin grand plus for that money I expect professional grade.
@@bluwng 100% agree. In the U.K. probably dollars /pounds match up . I didn’t think there was much wrong with the standard Mexican Strats with the ceramic pickups and the gloss necks which pre-dated the player series .
