"Just enjoy playing this thing, it's magic." Totally agree, great playing all around but the love really came through on that Charvel. My wife got me a San dimas a couple years ago for my birthday, it is an absolute gem. Sounds great, plays great, makes me want to play!! Great review as always, many thanks!!
Great video. Was considering buying a Silver Sky (even played one recently) but that Ibanez AZ just sounds fantastic. Would have loved to see a G&L included.
Probably because PMT don't stock G&L 🙄I'd say the Sire S3 or S7 are the best strat alternatives but again PMT don't stock them so Dagan isn't going to whip one out 😏
I had a 2003 Comanche. One piece ash body. Honestly that guitar was impeccably well made. As good as if not better than a MIJ Fender and certainly better than the two USA made and one MIM Fenders I've had. G&L makes great guitars. Pity more people don't gravitate towards them instead of Fender. In my experience you get a better guitar for the money.
The Schecter NJ is an incredible guitar. I love the way those pick-ups have been voiced and how well they can handle high gain settings. That would be my choice for a guitar in that price range.
@pepeowen totally 💯 agree i personally own the Nick Johnston HSS it’s versatile and great features for the price it’s my swiss army knife guitar 🎸 great for many different styles of music 🎼 but i do have a kiesel for when i just want to shred and play metal
Completely agree. I’ve just got the HSS in Atomic Green. It’s exceptional at any price point, a truly brilliant guitar. I’m a humbucker guy but simply wanted this in my arsenal and it’s now my go-to. Definitely recommended.
Very helpful. Lots of good info about each model, except for nut width. The 2nd thing I want to know about every potential purchase is nut width; hard to find even on manufacturers spec pages. Maybe you could say wide or narrow or medium. 42mm min for me and 42.8 preferred.
the dean zelinsky guitars are very nice, and with the "z-glide" neck, your hands won't get sticky as easily. and they have amazing pickup technology, in which i mean they have equal volume when you split the humbucker.
I gigged with a Peavey Strat years ago. It was a great guitar. I don't currently have any Strats in the stable, I found I like the Tele a bit better. But a hardtail Strat might be in the future.
I think the Fernandes RST-50 Revival Strat copy is one of the better strat alternatives, I haven't played it yet, but Billie Joe Armstrong Plays this guitar, and when he uses the seymour duncan pickups, it sound so good!
Those haven't been made since the 80s. You can't even buy Fernandes guitars in the US anymore, except used ones, because there's no US distributor anymore.
I'm curious how far back the Cutlas actually goes? Leo Fender started Music Man after he sold Fender to CBS in the late 60's. This coudl easily be a further refinement of the strat by him, similar to how he firther developed his fender designs in the 80's with G&L.
I'd buy the Sire S7 because if I have searched right it's the cheapest guitar with locking tuners tbh... Or that Yamaha with a P90 and a humbucker, wow!
Too bad most of the charvel that they are making today are only 3-4 model options available and they don’t have a floyd rose anymore neither a single pickup and volume knob option like the chris holmes star for example

My favorite strat copy is my 87 Kramer KS-400. Can be found well under 1K. Great neck, sounds like a strat, does everything you want it to do.
Love how informative Dagan’s videos are. Really useful guitar education!

You forgot G&L.
The best of all!

@@talkychris i have been trying to decide between a g&l fender and schecter currently i have a donner
@@kingcopycat9945 Fender USA, MIJ or MIM. Fullerton G&L or Tribute series?
USA Schecter or import?
What music do you play? What is your budget?
the neck on that shecter is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen it reminds me of the neck on the EVH 78 Eruption , worn in n awesome

Washburn Sonamaster is my strat style of choice ...not for everyone but I like it
Awesome video! The musicman is the only one i'd consider. That and G&L that wasn't mentioned

Oh man! That Yamaha Pacifica model sounds fantastic! Especially the P90.

That Charvel is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Please make one for other guitar models!
The Silver sky se is a superb guitar I play mine every day its a beautiful contrast to my Spec'd up Epi LP

@@DougMen1 I still think that it is one of the best anyway
I have the Yamaha, great guitar. Although I like my Shijie strat even better.
Very nice video! 👏I am a dedicated fan of the OG and play a Squier, but for a Super Strat I love the Kramer Pacerrrr 🤘😎
I owned yamaha pac611..great guitar..tone,playability at least for me..

I like this guys playing 👍
Nice! Although I'd go for the Jet SJ400 @ £169 😁
It's still under £1k! 😂
Great playing of some lovely affordable strats. Can anyone tell me the riff played at 18.53 please? Thanks in advance.

artost guitars have strats with locking tuners for 300 aud
@@kudos4201 I don't think I can find them here in Italy
What is the song played at 08:11? The one played on the Schecter NJ Sig. Cheers!

I bought a violin from you guys and it’s terrible
They don't make the instrument
😂
How much did it cost? Which one was it?
They dont make the instrument they only sell them!! You should have looked better at the specs and the price.
"I paid 50 quid for a violin and it didn't even have any frets on it I got nicked!" 🤡
Dollar for dollar & pound for pound your best life time investment is the Fender after playing 100 examples. Minimum.
