I bought a full-spec '19 sedan with skyactive-x engine. It's a really nice car both on the inside and out. Looks good in red, too - I've had complete strangers walk up to me and compliment it's looks, or it's color numerous times, and i bought it only like 3 weeks ago. It was a toss-up between this and the mx-5, since their price was similar, but in the end the back seats, the new interior, and all the new tech won. I can't stand the enormous plastic cladding on the CX-30, so i wasn't considering that one at all. For some reason we didn't get 2019 mazda 3 sedans with AWD in Europe this year (I checked the cofigurator on mazda's websites in various countries), and we didn't get the moonroof, either (USA has both for instance, but they don't have the 2.0 skyactive-x engine). Here's hoping these things will be available in the EU at a later date. Btw, It sits pretty low, so you might wanna watch out for those curbs - i had to come up with a solution for parking the car in my garage without scraping the bumper.

Not happenin'. In the first place it would undermine Mazda's strategy of offering upscale models. In addition, though internet fan boys loudly proclaim their fondness for Mazdaspeed vehicles, actual sales don't support them.
@@stephenhendricks103 agreed. People get so hung up on horsepower and 0-60. However their 2.5ltr could be tweaked for a tad more power probably at minimum cost. They did it with the 2.0ltr in the MX5 and zapped an additional 25hp.
I just bought this one about 2 weeks ago. It’s my 3rd Mazda. Had a ‘04 Mazda 6, and a ‘15 Mazda 3. I’ve always been drawn to them because it’s different than everyone else’s car and looks more expensive on the inside. Compared to my ‘15, this car feels heavier, and I like it that way. Doesn’t pull me into water filled ruts in the country roads, and I’m looking forward to the AWD for the Wisconsin winters. The infotainment screen...in the ‘15, it was touchscreen but only when the car wasn’t moving. Once you get use to it, pretty easy to use. Not a big deal. As far as everyone complaining it’s not fast enough, I’ll pass. I’m too old to be getting speeding tickets anyways. I would say that if you have a growing family, and plan on using the back seats daily for years to come for your kids, this may not be the car for you. Blind spots, also not a big deal if you use your mirrors. All in all, it’s a great car and I have yet to see another one, which is what I like most.
@@Angela-bu1nv ya. I test drove it a month ago. And I had a 2018 corolla im 1.8 lit. Now I have honda civic 2019 1.5 lit turbo. And mazda3 is quick! I don't know how it is on going up hill. But it should be OK with 186 torque. And that wind shield display is awesome.
Angela it is quick. About 6.9 sec 0-60 for hatch. By the end of 2nd gear I’m at 60 mph in my 20 3 hatch. I drive it 99% city so it’s very easy to be well in excess of speed limits quickly. I don’t use sport mode. I drive it in manual mode and pick my own shift points thus controlling the torque. Several years ago I had a 10 3 in celestial blue. It was also a very fun car to drive - and a looker too. In comparing them I think my 20 3 is slightly faster. The 20 3 is so well equipped and refined too. Loaded with tech. I love being able to start/stop/lock/unlock the vehicle with the Mazda app. Oh the AWD.... the new 3 stays glued in the corners no matter how hard you push it!
I bought the Mazda 3 2019 Hatchback and folks, I can say it worths every damm penny! Very comfort car, the performance in the highway is just amazing, and as said in the video, you won't win a drag race, but the power is just great in this car. I recommend it 100%
Great review mate. Just ordered one in Germany with a 2.0L, 122bhp, 6-speed manual, M-Hybrid in Magma Red Metallic. I didn't want the leather seats and AWD. The car is simply in a class of it's own. I love this car even more as i drive it and i don't mind the beam rear suspension. The suspension is tuned perfectly for my taste and i know i have to work the gears to get that power to overtake. This is my 3'rd Mazda and I'm loving it.
Is it a huge blind spot? Yes. Does it take getting used to? Yes. Does it have excellent customizable blind spot monitoring that 99% solves this issue? Yes.
Love, love, love Raiti's rides! There are no other reviewers out there who will give much needed shout-outs to Little Debbie's, Twinkies and Circus Peanuts.
Appreciate your review but everyone is posting this loaded version and ive seen it 20times. Would like to see a review on the mid trim version that 80% are actually gonna buy. Hope u will do a video on that version. just sayin.
Carlos Fragoso no, incorrect. For 2020 BOSE is included standard on Preferred/mid trim. For 2021 it seems Mazda will only make the BOSE standard on the Premium trim but the moonroof will be available on Preferred/mid trim for 2021 whereas for 2020 it wasn’t.....
Archie Pezek correct. I just bought the 20 3 hatch Preferred/mid trim. It is very well equipped with leatherette, heated seats, upgraded BOSE, LED front/rear/interior lighting. It is missing a few minor things... most notably the power moonroof. At the end of the day I decided I could live without the power moonroof. The Preferred AWD is a nice looking car and well equipped. I got it in soul red and think that it’s a standout.
Biggest competitor is another Mazda. Best car on the market right now. There is suppose to be a "version 3" en route for the entire Brand for 2021 coming this Fall. Amazing to see the improvement in such a short period of time. Great review as always.
I've owned mine for 8 months now and so far the only complaint I have is when you get food through a drive thru the window is so slim if you have a large order it's sometimes a struggle lol. The other issue I've seen is I think the windshield is slopped back at such an angle that it seems to be more liable to rock chips. I love the car I'm being picky.
I dont own one but have drove a couple. Can definitely see your point about the window. The rock chips are interesting though, I would figure with it being sloped back more it would deflect rocks/debris better.
It’s funny as I’ve picked up a new 3 too just recently and I really notice that! I came from a CX5 and now when Culver’s passes my food thru the window I’m like man.... I’m low and that window is small...... lol
I like how with this third gen 3 you get AWD, a manual option, and it's just a few ponies shy of 200 hp. That's not a bad deal, although, we mazda enthusiasts would like to see a speed3 version. I mean the looks are fire, it's a manual and has AWD, let's get it a turbo and a more aggressive exhaust note.
Amazing quality product by Mazda I had 2012 Mazda 3 and I just got my 2020 Mazda 3 GT loaded after my experience with Mazda. Trust me guys it’s quality quality quality and reliable and luxury and comfort so comfort to drive quality and reliable wise as good as Toyota quality if not better than Toyota it’s 100% japanes quality I will always drive Mazda and soon iam goin to trade in my 2017 rav 4 to Mazda CX-5 You will understand what Imean when you own one Ask people who have Mazda they will tell you it’s better than anything they drove before Thanks 🙏
I’ve had Nissan’s in the past cause I thought they drove nice, and they do, but the reliability is terrible. Now I have a CX-3 and it’s a lot of fun to drive, the handling is amazing, those make up for the bumpy ride
I actually just got one of these and i love it. I had a mazda3 2018 hatchback that i traded in with and the car is so great but i had custom floor mats for my 2018 and they don't even closely fit lol. The car feels really nice and the back shock is rough but super soild. I've always really liked Mazda's cars and loving the changes they've made for this year. The leather is amazing and totally gorgeous lol. The red is so sick.
Bought this car 2 Months ago. Not disappointed. I traded in my audi A3 and this car rides smoother and quieter, with more options. The thing that sold me other than the looks was the Bose sound system which is simply awesome. Nice review.
I dropped my 2015 off at the dealer to get some work done and they gave me a loaner exactly like this one. The interior is much better than the civic and Corolla. It's much quieter than the older Mazda 3 hatch but the engine has no oomph. The steering is MUCH heavier than the 2015 but overall if you want a car that has great looks and (subjective) great interior for the price than it's great. Also the newly designed Bose speakers are great.
I can't wait for the turbo version to come out. You should also check out some hatchbacks with the appearance package, it makes the hatchback look alot better than it already does, almost mazdaspeed like. Also, a review of the base sedan would be so awesome as that is the trim that most of us can afford. Love the review as always!
Nice cars. The brand improved a lot since 2014. We have 3 different models in the family and I would definitely consider one for a new daily, but for now I’ll stick to trucks and off-roaders.
OMG this looks so much better than any other hatchback in the market. My 06 Mazda 3 just got "rod knock" engine is pretty much gone, so gotta replace it soon.
I've been a Toyota guy for years, with the exception of a 1997 Miata I had for auto-crossing. After some concerns about oil consumption, and with no AWD in the Toyota, my wife and I tried a CX3. That design had not been revamped yet, and had ridiculously low power. It actually was scary to try to merge into highway traffic. So we tried the smaller, all new 3. We have never had a vehicle that fit so perfectly, the armrest and center console are the same height even, so you are not all crooked from the get-go. Power and merging are no problem at all, even when not in sport mode. We have had our 2019 for around 8,000 miles and absolutely love it.
Raiti, man! Thank you so much for your videos. They've been a critical part of my (very picky, and long-spent) research on my next car .. Which is actually arriving next Friday! It's a 2020 Mazda3 Premium Hatchback in Manual 😁 Thanks so much dude!!!
Fix the infotainment. Throw in the 2.5T engine, keep the AWD, and put it as the loaded top trim at ~30-32K MSRP. I would buy this over the Autobahn GTI.
Love the colors on this vehicle both interior and exterior. $30k is probably a bit more than I want to pay for a compact sedan. The AWD is needed up here in frosty ☃️ Minnesota. Another outstanding video Joe. You should start a car channel on tv. 👍
If the MazdaSpeed came back sure I would, or if Knight Sports made a body kit that was a knockout I would consider this... 3rd Gen still has a solid Knight Sports Kit and upgrades But your videos are awesome since you ACTUALLY talk about the details like if vents are fake or not, things that people at dealerships really know hardly anything about unless they owned one. Kudos to you and your detail oriented reviews!
8:08 I think thats incorrect, the cup holders in the old style would get in the way of the infotainment knob. I just test drove a 2016 and immediately noticed that. With a cup in the cupholder you have to do some noodle arm attack to reach the knob
Pretty slick little car. No turbo, no CVT, which is good. Should have a few things that are missing at that price but overall it’s a neat car. Nice review Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I have this exact car with the 6spd manual transmission and I freaking love everything about it. I rarely see any of these on the road and I for sure have never seen anyone driving the one that I have. I see way more civic and corolla hatchbacks and every time I see one I'm like no thanks, mine is better. I've also had the civic hatchback and I loved it too, but my Mazda is way better inside and out. :)
James Echols, good for you bro! For wanting to be different! As they say, if you want to blend within the crowd, go with Corolla and Civic! If you want to stand out within the crowd, Mazda 3! Nothing wrong with going against the norm...
James Echols, that’s too bad but I totally understand...maybe when the economy and employment situation improves then you can get a 3 again (maybe by that time with the 2.5T engine!)
Loved the video and you know what, Joe, I always thought the rear pillars made this hatchback ugly but the 2020 version is a little better looking. Love the car from the review but I totally get why you zonked the price. Never seen you do that before. For 30 grand, it should have multilink and you should be getting rear ac vents and charging ports. Loved this video though.
My neighbor has one. Sharp looking car and looks much better than its competitors. AWD with 186hp is a non-starter for me. A Mazda Speed version with AWD would be very interesting. Keep it up Cpt. Content !
I wish there were more AWD sedan options. I think a lot of the shift to crossovers has been because most of them have AWD optional where most sedans and coupes don't.
I bought this new styled Mazda 3 hatchback in 2019. I love it. Every time I get in I feel I'm strapping the car on, and with that upscale interior with the Boise sound system and really comfortable seats, its something you WANT to strap on. Mazda nailed it with its minimalist design approach, head-turning styling, and quality interior. I only wish its warranty matched that of the Hyundai especially since its quality and craftsmanship easily surpasses the Hyundai.
The fact that the rest of the car is so good makes the decision to go with a torsion beam rear suspension that much more egregious! The color combination on this one is awesome. Also, love the design of the hatchback including the chunky C pillar! The car is gorgeous from every angle. Joe, in your honest opinion do the Toyota or Honda hatchbacks drive better and is the cost cutting move discernible? Thank you!
Manufacturers typically refuse to comment on future plans for new models. But in the case of Mazda, the response has been a firm and often stated, "Absolutely NOT!"
It was my understanding that the suspension and ride smoothness had attained a point since 2019, where it was better than Toyotas or Civics. The problem is their new luxury/premium oriented direction has come at the expense of the "zoom zoom" aspect, which is what gave them their edge over the competition :(
Mazda's are pretty great across the board. From value to reliability. Even the lower tier Mazda's feel luxurious even though they're much cheaper. But I'd definitely get a manual version of any mazda simply because they are way more fun to drive.
My wife and I bought a Cx3 new in 2017. No problems at all with over 35,000 miles. For the money. It blows the other’s away. Interior, sound system, to everything else is way better then Toyota or Honda. And with AWD only adds to a better value.
First generation was GLC, then 323, then protege , then 3. Best suspension systems - in that regard have always been regarded as the Japanese BMW. Rear suspension had bushings that would deflect to mimic 4 wheel steering. I used to be a master technician for Mazda in the 90’s . Great cars 👍👍👍
12:46 >>>>> Reflection on the windscreen impairs road safety. Reflection also causes driving fatigue. Reflection is not just a camera problem. Mazda what you did in 2020.
@@philipsk I've been eyeing it for nearly a year before it came out and was really looking to buy. But coming from a Mazda6, unfortunately the interior was a little too small for me when I test drove it. I was hoping to buy it in a stick shift too. Too bad for me, but glad to hear that you're enjoying yours!
The blind spot monitoring system really helps.... adjusting your mirrors can help too. And then just being driver aware- which I know is not as common as one would think anymore. I was initially concerned but 3 weeks in the new 3 hatch and it’s a cinch. No problems....
My 2016 model Mazda 3's Infotainment console went on endless loop. Hard reboot did not work. Mazda dealership diagnosed it as a dead CMU (the brains of the console). Will cost $1300.00 to replace. They don't know when part will arrive. Last time my rear tail light cracked, it took 4 months to get the part. I wonder how long the CMU will take.
I've never had a Toyota. I've had 3 Hondas, and I just bought my second Mazda3 hatch. After I got my first one I didn't understand how nor why Mazda doesn't just beat Honda to death. What you pay for what you get on a Mazda is incredible, which is why I'll never (over)pay for a Honda again. I will say it was hard to find the Mazda3 wagon I wanted though. I could've had any Honda I wanted in a day or two.
Nice! I just test drove the Mazda 3 and Civic sedans. Everything you said in this review is spot-on. Only thing I noticed worth zonking on the Mazda was the braking seemed a little off. Right before pulling into the dealership, I had to really put pressure on the brakes to slow down - I don't know if that was because I put it into sport mode or something else. Otherwise a really nice car for the price! You'll be hard-pressed to find anything like it at this price range.
@@richl1319 I'm still looking at other vehicles, so I haven't decided yet. The Mazda 3 drives much nicer than the Civic, but the high number of recalls worry me (especially with the 2019s). Between the two I'm leaning more towards the Civic.
I know it's a video regarding Japanese competition but you will get usb-C ports in front, aircon (3zone) for rear passangers and usb-C ports, as well as multilink rear suspension in new Golf 8. Worth to notice.
Are they? In the US, their sales and, worse, market share are both going down. Mazda is actually getting less popular, not more, with the buying public
@ngcsu they care less and less about driving except in the Miata. Cheap suspension downgrade in the 3, no more manual cars except overpriced hatchback, plus they are raising prices in a risky bid to go premium
When can we expect a 2020 mazda 6 review? Ever since I got a V6 midsized I cant go back to a compact type of car....and im only 5ft9 lol. Love your videos regardless of some of the small differences here and there that Ill have with your opinions on other models (zonking fake vents, pop rods, manual adjustment for the passenger seating, no 12 volt in the back, no USB in the back, etc) but theres no doubt you give excellent reviews. No other youtuber is touching you when it comes to this shit. Keep making great videos because i keep coming back, even on cars I dont really care for ill still watch lmao. Thanks Raiti
Thanks for nice video, it shows that Mazda is far more premium than Civic and Corolla, not only on materials and design but also the transmission and engine
My 2018 civic hatchback with 42k miles already have ac problems blowing hot air with freon leaks. And my vin# is not on the ac extended warranty. What happened to Honda quality?
Having owned all three, here’s my opinion: Mazda has what the other two have, but they’ve engineered fun into the “3”; I’d buy again. Toyota has the best reliability and lowest cost of ownership; I’d buy again. Honda used to be fun and reliable with a low cost of ownership; if I had a time-machine . . . I’d buy again.
The 3 is special for sure. Many years ago I had a 10 3. Fun car to drive. Since then I’ve had 2 6s and a CX5. Nice vehicles but just now recently got back into a 20 3 hatch. Driving is exhilarating again!!
@@RaitisRides Wow i didn't think type of tire affects refinement, i knew the bigger the side wall of the tire the softer the ride and tge narrower the tire wall the harder the ride. What tires in you're experience run quiet. Cheers
It’s pretty refined and fairly quiet. Major difference vs. the 10 3 that I had years ago. Heck even coming from a 18 CX5 to this 20 3 I can notice slight differences. Mazda continues to hone their product line literally year by year and it’s something you can easily pick up on too.....
At around 8 minutes you mention the cupholder placement and as an owner of the previous generation Mazda3 I have to disagree with you. Having cups in the cupholders of my 2017 Mazda3 blocks off access to the rotary dials that control the infotainment. If a front passenger is using the center armrest you have to push their arm off or float your arm in the air to reach the rotary dials.
Don't you get the 2 litre SkyActiv X engine in the states ? pretty much the same HP but significantly better fuel economy. Seriously considering getting one to replace my golf r
This new Mazda3 has such a special design that it catches your eye and you have to watch it go by. A few times I've found myself looking at one coming from a distance not yet realizing its a Mazda3. The new design is very futuristic. They definitely have a road presence. Civic and Corolla don't give you that.
Great review as always! I actually owned the 2019 version of this car and my experience was so bad that I had to trade it in after 3 months of ownership. When I first saw the new 2019 Mazda 3, I was really impressed on how it looked. So I went out and bought one (Deep Crystal Blue Mica with red interior) with the Premium package and paid $29K. But then things started to go wrong. The first was the drivers side seat electric controls flopped out. This was because the plastic housing that holds it against the seat is so cheaply made that the plastic tabs just give out. I pushed it back in and it just flopped out again. Took it to the dealer and he fiddled with it and shoved it back in and it just flopped out again. So he used some wire to keep it in there. No real fix for it until Mazda redesigns it. I also got a good look at the seat frame and it's made of a really thin pot metal. Next, then the glass in the "frame less" rear view mirror fell out. The cheap glue that was holding it in place just gave up. Took it to the dealer and he put more cheap glue. It fell out yet again. The reason is because the frame is not deep enough to hold the mirror. Again no real fix until Mazda redesigns it. The the rear seats would not latch back up in place. Took it to the dealer and he told me I should probably not fold them down because they do not have a fix for this yet. Then there was the annoying rattle under the passenger side dash (above the glove box). If you take your finger and push down on the dash above the glove box you will see that it is hollow. Took it to the dealer and the problem is between the hollow dash and the cheap glove box. The dealer tried to fix it but the rattle came right back again. Also the glove box is made out of soda bottle plastic (open it up and you will see) so there is no insulation to stop the annoying rattles. Then the sun glass holder on the roof is made so poorly that on a hot day the hinges will melt off. Another issue is the C pillar. It is aluminum foil thin and if you press on it too hard while waxing the car you will probably dent it. Press it in with your hand and see for yourself. The embarrassing hood prop looks like it was made out of an old coat hanger (they should have put hood shocks). The rear cargo does not come with any nets or mats. The AC is weak so if you live in a hot climate look for something else. Getting in and out is annoying because the sloped roof line forces you to contort your head sideways so you don't hit it. The cylinder deactivation is useless and does not improve the so-so fuel economy. The safety features are annoying, especially the lane assist which forces you to stay in your lane. It needs to be reprogrammed as it's usually wrong. The warranty is not good (3 years). The heads up display has an odd glare that makes it hard to read. The lugs might not come from the factory torqued right. The passenger air bag light "off" light will stay on. The front radar is a hit or miss. When it snows the headlights 'balcony' shelf just collects the snow and the LED lights aren't hot enough to melt it. Even the steering wheels is made of a thin leather that will peel sooner rather than later. While the car does look good, don't be fooled by that swath of red leather across the dash, underneath all the flashy stuff are low quality materials that no warranty can fix. Read the Mazda 3 forum and see for yourself what others are saying: www.mazda3revolution.com/forums/2019-mazda-3-discussion.325/
I was dead set on a 2020 Civic Si but I dont know now. There's so many great options! I might have to go test drive one of these now in a manual. Newer Honda manual will be a tough competitor.
@@RaitisRides that's what I'm thinking. I want more of a drivers car so the interior quality isn't my main focus. I dont mind cloth seats if it means more fun on those back roads. I used to have a 2007 mazdaspeed 3 when I was in highschool and my dad had a 2014 civic si and honestly I had more fun driving around the Si. The only thing stopping me from buying a 2020 Si right now is the dealership near me won't get one until I come in and order it myself.
I got rid my 15 Mazda 3 and have a 20 Corolla hatch on order. The Mazda was a peppy car with excellent gas mileage (I drove a 6 speed). The infotainment was a bit quirky and the fog light indicator was never wired to illuminate on dash when fog lights were on. I know this bc I took the car back to the dealership and they tried all the 3s on the lot and fog light indicator worked on none of them. That was a weird thing. Other than that, it was a solid car. I'll let you know how the 20 corolla hatch XSE compares when it is delivered.

I recommend it 100%
i won a couple actually lol 187 hoaroses aint really bad
Great review mate. Just ordered one in Germany with a 2.0L, 122bhp, 6-speed manual, M-Hybrid in Magma Red Metallic. I didn't want the leather seats and AWD. The car is simply in a class of it's own. I love this car even more as i drive it and i don't mind the beam rear suspension. The suspension is tuned perfectly for my taste and i know i have to work the gears to get that power to overtake. This is my 3'rd Mazda and I'm loving it.
It is NOT touch... You can touch it, just not gonna do anything. Love it.
Thanks for letting me share some laughs with you!
Love the red leather interior!
I totally agree with you!
Had a 2005 Mazda 3s hatchback when I was in college in Hawaii, loved the car. Not much HP/torque but it went vroom vroom when i needed it too
Thanks for sharing that great input Daniel.
You are churning quality videos like crazy compared to so many car reviewers. I'm impressed by your productivity.
I really like that rear quarter and I know it's a blind spot and everything but it looks nice and the back end looks really nice.
I totally agree with you!
Is it a huge blind spot? Yes. Does it take getting used to? Yes. Does it have excellent customizable blind spot monitoring that 99% solves this issue? Yes.
It's got so many systems that you rarely need to see it. There are visual aids on the mirror, HUD and center dash on top of audio signal.
Its not really a problem, a light flashes on the side mirror to warn you if there is a vehicle in the blind spot.
I absolutely love when he zonks things 😂😂😂
Love, love, love Raiti's rides! There are no other reviewers out there who will give much needed shout-outs to Little Debbie's, Twinkies and Circus Peanuts.
Thanks Arden for letting me share this one with you! I appreciate your great support! Who doesn't like snacks, right?
Appreciate your review but everyone is posting this loaded version and ive seen it 20times. Would like to see a review on the mid trim version that 80% are actually gonna buy. Hope u will do a video on that version. just sayin.
same car without the red leather and HUD and some tidbits
@@RiasatAbir and minus the Bose sound system I think
@@kmysamaXX The mid trim has the Bose stereo but doesn't have the moon roof and some other things like the paddle shifters, adaptive headlights, etc.
Thanks for sharing that great input George!
Well it got a turbo
My lease is up August so I’ve been trying to figure out what I want next and I think I just made my decision. Thanks for this review Joe!!!
Thanks for sharing that great input on this Mazda.
I’ve had Nissan’s in the past cause I thought they drove nice, and they do, but the reliability is terrible. Now I have a CX-3 and it’s a lot of fun to drive, the handling is amazing, those make up for the bumpy ride
Great review, this just sealed the deal for me. I’ve had my eyes on this car for months now. Subscribed. 👍
Yeah I've got a 2013 Maz3 and love it. Got a new job lined up here and totally going in on the new version.
U won't regret it. Its an amazing hatch
I’ve always thought Audi makes the nicest interiors, but Mazda isn’t trailing them by much with this car!
they weren't in the last generation either. look at the old 3 compared to the a3.
I totally agree with you Anthony! Thanks for sharing that input from your experience!
14:11 that truck comes speeding up the left in the side view mirror and then gets left behind, Lol.
Raitiiii, of course, you have a review for something that I want to see!
Shame that the front grill is gonna be ruined by a number plate.
Thanks for letting me bring it all to you! I appreciate your support! I feel your pain about the plate location.
I miss the Zoom Zoom!
If you truly "can't wait" for a turbo version, don't hold your breath. It's not going to happen.
I am so glad that you like this one!
I would buy a Speed3 version of this in a heartbeat.
That color and wheel combo is to die for! LOVE
Fix the infotainment. Throw in the 2.5T engine, keep the AWD, and put it as the loaded top trim at ~30-32K MSRP. I would buy this over the Autobahn GTI.
Which is exactly what they ended up doing 🤣
Thank you for your hard work. You Always have the best car reviews in youtube. Good luck 👍🏼
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Love the colors on this vehicle both interior and exterior. $30k is probably a bit more than I want to pay for a compact sedan. The AWD is needed up here in frosty ☃️ Minnesota. Another outstanding video Joe. You should start a car channel on tv. 👍
I totally agree with you Louis. I know it is pricey but nobody would pay MSRP on this car. Thanks for saying that!
Great job joe but the side rear reminds me of a jelly bean lol
Thanks Miguel. I can see it a little.
Give me this Mazda3 . with the cx9 engine performance. I'll buy
I like the way you think.
It's going to be out this year. 😁
I love how detailed he his when he describes cars
No Zonks here Joe ,great review again
Thanks Chris! That really means a lot!
The Mazda 3 is now at another level in design, it looks just sporty nice.
If the MazdaSpeed came back sure I would, or if Knight Sports made a body kit that was a knockout I would consider this... 3rd Gen still has a solid Knight Sports Kit and upgrades
But your videos are awesome since you ACTUALLY talk about the details like if vents are fake or not, things that people at dealerships really know hardly anything about unless they owned one.
Me too! I've only seen 1 or 2 other 3 Hatchbacks aside from mine. Definitely not another one in soul red.
HM Fitness I meant my model specifically, not mazda3s in general. I see plenty of previous generations, just not the new one.
James Echols, good for you bro! For wanting to be different! As they say, if you want to blend within the crowd, go with Corolla and Civic! If you want to stand out within the crowd, Mazda 3! Nothing wrong with going against the norm...
@@ztekz I sold my 3 last Friday. 😔 With all the uncertainty in the world right now, I decided to get a less exspensive vehicle for the time being.
Thanks for the compliment and letting me share this one with you! You are so very right about the rear link suspension.
@Raiti's it was actually called the "323 and not "326"
Deejay B he was playing around
How's your night Joe? I'm enjoying my night by watching TV on your videos.
A little busy but good! Thanks for watching. It means a lot!
3:20 The Rim has a very Dark Brown Color 2 it, it's a Black Rim but when your dead staring at it inches away it looks like that 👍🏼.
That's brake dust😄
@@jayespi37 What that can't be. The rim has a Dark Brown Color 2 it 🤣🤣.
Never been a fan of mazdas but with this one now their talking. Would totally consider.
I a, so glad that you like this one.
I bought the hatch 8 months ago, same colour as this one. Nice.
Are you still happy with it?
Another great video, keep it up brother!
Thanks Evan! That is so awesome of you to say!
My neighbor has one. Sharp looking car and looks much better than its competitors. AWD with 186hp is a non-starter for me. A Mazda Speed version with AWD would be very interesting. Keep it up Cpt. Content !
I totally agree with you! I like the nickname! You are awesome!
I wish there were more AWD sedan options. I think a lot of the shift to crossovers has been because most of them have AWD optional where most sedans and coupes don't.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective!
Love your videos! I appreciate that you review everything out there.
Still waiting for FWD manual, Joe...
That being said, great review as always. Keep it up!!
Thanks for sharing that great ownership input!
Thank you!
This is the most detailed car review I’ve seen period. Props
Joe is good but Savegegeese is the best in the business, try him.
I'll be cool Mazza brought back the Mazda 3 speed for this hatchback.
I totally agree with you Manny!
Manufacturers typically refuse to comment on future plans for new models. But in the case of Mazda, the response has been a firm and often stated, "Absolutely NOT!"
Beautiful Mazda with Fred Flintstone rear suspension.
We'll all wait for the next Generation. I'm sure they'll change it.
It was my understanding that the suspension and ride smoothness had attained a point since 2019, where it was better than Toyotas or Civics. The problem is their new luxury/premium oriented direction has come at the expense of the "zoom zoom" aspect, which is what gave them their edge over the competition :(
Your videos are top quality. Keep up the awesome work
Hey Joe...you mentioned a manual transmission is available for the Mazda 3...but I’m not sure that is the case with the awd option.
Howard Michell AWD is only available with the automatic.
It’s available only for selected markets. We do have that option here in Italy.
I just wish they made the rear window an inch wider on each side.
That would help!
I wish they made all the windows a bit bigger. Still a good car though. I'm happy with mine.
Mmmm love this car. I got the lifted version a couple of weeks ago (CX-30) and I have so say I am still so impressed with all of it!
Congrats Ben! It is a great SUV!
@@RaitisRides thanks! Love your reviews. Keep'em coming!
Another zonk is lack of side mirror heaters in every trim. Not everyone lives in a warm climate.
Must be on US models, in Canada you get heated side mirrors on the GS trim and up
Which one are you going with?
@@richl1319 I'm still looking at other vehicles, so I haven't decided yet. The Mazda 3 drives much nicer than the Civic, but the high number of recalls worry me (especially with the 2019s). Between the two I'm leaning more towards the Civic.
Herman Wooster most of the recalls were for the first ones built.
I know it's a video regarding Japanese competition but you will get usb-C ports in front, aircon (3zone) for rear passangers and usb-C ports, as well as multilink rear suspension in new Golf 8. Worth to notice.
I don't know much about Mazda, but they're certainly getting more and more popular.
This is true!
@ngcsu AGREED!
nsbioy yes sales are down but their profit margins are rising, it’s a huge difference
7:45 FYI, Canada has a full widescreen rear camera with dynamic guide lines, US does not.
You guys get all of the cool stuff.
@@RaitisRides lol we don't have 360 parking camera or auto folding mirrors though, europe has those I think
Great Video. Your reviews are also elaborate and concise. Good job
i test drove this car its a beast .. such a comfortable and beautiful ride
Has anyone driven all three cars for comparison? Or did you just pick by looks or another reason?
My 2018 civic hatchback with 42k miles already have ac problems blowing hot air with freon leaks. And my vin# is not on the ac extended warranty. What happened to Honda quality?
Oh wow! I am so sorry to hear about that issue that you are having.
In Europe, the camera on the screen is stretched all way, also if you have the 360 view is even better that you get that bird-eye view look
Thanks for that great info!
I wish the sedan version had a red interior and black rims + grill
Joe what's refinement like was there much tyre noise and wind noise when you where driving.
It really depends on the tire you are running.
The reverse cam image is small because of the camera itself and the narrowness of the screen. That camera records in 720p at the most
Will it’s comeing the all new Mazda sky G turbo hatchback with 310ft or depending on the gas 320 if you put premium for 270 hp 🔥
This car is beautiful ! I had a chance to drive the sedan for three days and I loved it. That outside color and the interior looks like an exotic car.
I totally agree with you Fernando! The curves are perfect!
This has to be my next car. thanks for the review / first look
You will love it.
SI is a different kind of beast. I highly recommend taking the all for a spin.
Try the veloster turbo
@@RaitisRides that's what I'm thinking. I want more of a drivers car so the interior quality isn't my main focus. I dont mind cloth seats if it means more fun on those back roads. I used to have a 2007 mazdaspeed 3 when I was in highschool and my dad had a 2014 civic si and honestly I had more fun driving around the Si. The only thing stopping me from buying a 2020 Si right now is the dealership near me won't get one until I come in and order it myself.
King for a Day Go order one $0 money down
@@richl1319 Haha might as well order them a type r if that's the case.
Thanks for that great ownership experience input!
