Fun fact: esplanade was planned and designed way back since the early 1980s and pushed by a previous DPM and President Mr Ong Teng Cheong, an architect. They planned it in the 1980s when the land was not even existing. They had to reclaim land, wait for it to be ready then built it only in 2003.
Always proud of our military band. Usually, they are the first to march in and last to march out in a parade or National Day. A bunch of musically talented and creative people. Although they do not bear arms, they are important in boosting morale. SAF band did well in some tattoos overseas.
