    -Extensive battery testing
    -Battery charge time testing
    -Camera quality comparisons
    -Speaker quality (vs one m8 etc.)
    -Ergonomics (how easy is it to handle)
    -Gaming/Performance tests

    • @ragedashboard6374
      @ragedashboard6374 9 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Nah not really. Both Apple and Android phones are fantastic nowadays. Only reason I went with the iPhone 6+ is because of iMessage. iMessage blows regular SMS texting out of the water.
      My next phone might even be an android phone. Who knows?

  • @ChrisKendallCK
    @ChrisKendallCK 9 ปีที่แล้ว +191

    Don't start doing pointless unboxings. I subscribed to you over other reviewers because you didn't waste my time showing me a box, a tiny booklet, a charger and cable.. these come with every electronic item you buy. One unboxing video basically covers every device you can buy. Just carry on with the informative reviews please.

      sashundera91 ***** I wanted to see the hands on - which is also in the title. That's why I watched the video. The unboxing part is a waste of time in my opinion. Geez. Didn't realize nobody had an entitlement to have an opinion anymore. I must've missed that law being passed!

    • @zachburke8906
      @zachburke8906 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I hate when people have the logic of "if you upload it I am going to watch it" and then complains about uploading a video thats uploaded that you can easily tell you wont like by the title.

    • @ChrisKendallCK
      @ChrisKendallCK 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      zach burke again, as I said already. I wanted to see Marques' hands on. So I watched the video. To see his first impressions. I didn't say I didn't like the video, just that I enjoy his content because he doesn't do unboxings. Now I have to sit through one to see the part I was waiting to see.
      You're misunderstanding my comment.

    Can you do a full Lollipop walkthrough? BUT specifically can you just go through all the updated apps with material design. All the walkthrough's I have seen just go to like settings and the app drawer and don't actually show the apps. I would love to see what the calendar, gmail, clock, etc. and more look like IN DEPTH!

  • @andreapivetta
    @andreapivetta 9 ปีที่แล้ว +67

    - Battery life?
    - Lollipop performance?
    - Do you like the new drawer?
    - Camera?
    - Is it easier to write email and stuff with a bigger screen?
    - How much actual free space does it have?
    - Did you find apps with problems with Lollipop?

    Marques,
    With this large display, Google is clearly showing how Android and the phone market as a whole can and is okay to be big. I am personally all for it, but do you think the real reason for this is to make wearables more appealing? A bigger screen makes for a more clunky device to keep taking out of your pocket.
    Also, I have just been thinking about this. With the iPhone 6 Plus getting the big screen treatment, big phones are here to stay. Do you think clothing manufactures will take this into account? I know with a few pairs of my pants, the Nexus 6, Note 4, or any other phablet style phone would just not fit in the front pockets.
    Thanks man, and I am loving the variety in your channel these days. I seriously watch your videos as soon as I get a notification from TH-cam. Keep it up!

    • @Hustler1339
      @Hustler1339 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have an iPhone 6 Plus and despite what you may hear, my 6 Plus fits in quite well in the majority of my trouser pockets, never really had an issue. You'll only have some difficulty getting the phone in and out if you're wearing tight jeans or a trouser with small pocket so you'll have little to worry about the 'pocketability' of the Nexus 6 unless you enjoy wearing tight-fit trousers :)

    Here's what most reviewers don't do or do less of now:
    -Call quality (It's a smart*phone*!)
    -Speaker quality
    -Multitasking (quickly switching between apps like Maps to Chrome)
    -Heat output (NOBODY MENTIONS THIS!)
    -Pocket fit
    -Cupholder fit
    -Motion photography (taking pictures of moving objects)

    • @Tapemaster21
      @Tapemaster21 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      He always makes note of the call quality in his reviews.
      Not all people's pockets are the same size.
      I do like the idea for cupholder fit, although you can look up the phones width and a ruler and test that one out yourself.

    • @DesuVR
      @DesuVR 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I expected that much at least, ahaha.

    • @DesuVR
      @DesuVR 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tapemaster21 In the order of your comment: In general, reviewers are mentioning call quality less and less from what I see, almost hinting at the fact that phones are the replacement to- and more like dedicated media players (iPod, Zune, Walkman, etc.) than they are phones. I appreciate when reviewers still put to the test the most basic of functions because not all phones even do *that* well (like my previous phone the GS3). Maybe we can use skinny jeans as the benchmark? =P When the vent-clip or windshield suction cup phone mount fails you, there's always your best friend; the cupholder. =) Some are wider than others, yes, but they are generally similar in diameter given they are the fixed type (not ones with arms that hug your beverage).

    I would like to see a thorough look on in your upcoming review video for Nexus 6 -
    1. Navigation speed - In apps, general menus, settings etc.
    2. Performance - E.g. How much time to open heavy apps (in general) and any glitches or stutters (if any)
    3. New Material Design Interface - Shortcuts, tweaks, animations, buttons and customization (if any)
    4. Camera improvements - As Android L promises great improvements in this department
    5. Battery Life - QuadHD Display vs. Android L battery life promises
    Thanks MKBHD !!
    I find your reviews always good !!
    Thorough review awaited !!
    Thanks Again.

      Agreed, although I'm not convinced about the size, it's an inch smaller than a small tablet! Motorola has also released the Driod Turbo in the US, which is rumoured for an international release as the moto maxx.
      The screen is an inch smaller, but has the same resolution. The CPU is also the same yet the battery is bigger @ a huge 3900 mAh, and it has a 21 MP camera. That's 4K video recording in your hand. But it has hardware buttons... why, just why? Still it's a competitive machine.
      My nexus 4 battery has had it, so I need a new phone... does it show?

    Awesome awesome!! Thank you for a really nice video. The things I'm interested in is the new messenger app and what that is all about, Battery life as a heavy user, the battery saving features this phone has, and how the turbo charge is. I have more ideas but I'm sure you'll cover them. Again thank you! This is a great channel to watch.

    I'm not sure how I feel about android lollipop yet. I like some things, such as the animations, notification shade, overall performance, but I'm not really feeling the look of the new app tray. I also don't care for the new home, back, and multi tasking buttons. It would've been nice to see google let us tweak aspects of our ui in the settings the way cyanogen does on the one plus one. This is the first time that I've been hesitant to do an android upgrade on my nexus 7 and KitKat is working just fine for me.

    • @brandonvillatuya9539

    • @gm92845
      @gm92845 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soham Bapat I'm currently running cyanogen mod, so hopefully they work out some of the quirks of stock android. I like the fact that they implemented a remove all button in the recent app screen while Google has yet to do so. I don't use the two finger pull down that often since it is currently used to view you quick toggles.

    With that size, you can use it to chop onions on it.
    With that wideness, you can use it to replace the missing brick in your house.
    With that screen, you can put an otterbox and call it a hummer.
    This size phone is good for people with cars so you don't have to put it in yr pocket all the time. I can't imagine bicycling with that screen size. Also use it for Car GPS lol

    Id really like to see an actual comparison of the speakers on this phone compared to other flagships. The dual front facing speakers on this phone and the fact that Samsung has taken a step backwards by putting the (single) speaker on the back of the Note 4 is a huge let down in my book. Not to mention, from what Ive heard on the Note 4 playing with it in person, the speaker is very tinny and sounds awful. Deciding to go from my Note 3 to either the Note 4 or the Nexus 6 is proving to be an extremely hard decision. The fact that T-mobile is going to push an update to enable Wifi calling on the Nexus 6 soon after its release is a huge sigh of relief, but makes my decision that much harder! Now I just have to decide if losing the stylus is worth it...

      How many times will you really use the phone speaker? I never use it ever. I always have earbud plugged. I have a Bluetooth set that's binaural. Or if you want loud sound at home, Bluetooth speakers provide excellent quality.
      The only thing Nexus 6 has going for it is Android 5 out of the box. The Note 4 will receive Android 5 in just a few weeks.

Not just games like Candy Crush that you can run on a potato, but some of the more CPU and GPU intensive games like the Infinity Blade series. Gaming is quickly becoming one of the things people spend the most time doing on their phone, but no reviews take the time to cover it.
