This is a great phone, but I am concerned with the screen size. Do we really need a 6 inch phone? My iPhone 6 size is probably the best size for a smartphone. 4.5-4.7" screens are most suitable. Other than that, the phone is way too large if it's greater than 5" and that includes the Note 4, Nexus 6, and iPhone 6+. Please stop making phones so big. Who agrees?

Actually you are right. These phone are really big and not handy at all. I bought iphone 6 plus and m not comfortable at all. But still large screen has its own advantages. Basically nobody wants to carry tablets or laptops with them so people usually take large screen phone to replace them. In my opinion, 5 inch is the best, the optimum size for a smartphone.

Thanks for a great review. I learned a few new things about the newly released Android 5.0 that updated my of Nexus 5. Which makes me point out that except for the audio speakers and the 4k camera, this review is really about the Android OS and not about the Nexus 6. My Nexus 5 costs $300 less and with Android 5 version it has gotten a new life.
Excellent review, finally someone who didn't carry on about how big the device is. I actually learned about two features you mentioned that I didn't know before on Android 5.0 (Google voice from any screen and smart lock), thanks. You and one other review I've seen totally gets what this particular Nexus device is about; a no compromise Nexus device to displaying Android Lollipop 5.0. I won't deny that there are some good android phones out there. But I hate android, just looking at the phones of people I hang out with I get confused. There are simply to many features on android. Some are wonderful, but in practice I would never use them. I love iOS because it's so simple and it's the easiest OS to pick up and use out of the box. I can do everything on my iPhone, you can also do everything on an android flagship, however, I would rather do everything on a simple and beautiful OS that is consistent and stable.
Learn how to use Android and you will see the lack of features iOS brings in is its flaw, iOS users use the same argument as people who use flip phones

People are lazy to learn a platform that offers more than iOS. The only gimmicky OS skin is TouchWiz stock AOSP builds of Android shame iOS. Customization is the key to Android. It could be very complicated or very simple.

I have to say that this is probably the best review on this device! I have been going through all the videos trying to get as much info on this Nexus 6 before upgrading and this one answered a lot of my questions. I am currently still using my Note 2 so this will definitely be a major upgrade for me.. Thanks.

The animations are smoother and some stuff opens quicker on lollipop then kitkat but then some stuff opens slower on lollipop than kitkat which is weird. The nexus 7 2012 is lucky enough to even get lollipop lol. This thing is ancient in smart phones years.

Yay,you got the unlocked model The AT&T model is all locked up,one of my other subcribers,he tried his T-Mobile SIM in his Nexus 6 and it did not work,he also said "Crap" when he heard the AT&T ringtone!

I have a question about the size. If i can reach every galaxy s5 corner with my thumb would i have any problem operating with the nexus 6 with one hand(i mean normal tasks like facebook,inbox,snapchat,twitter and so on)?
This phone is an excellent phone, but the screen size is way too big for consumers, as its neither a tablet sized, neither smartphone sized. And more importantly it's not a phablet aswell, Nexus 6 should have been around 5.2"-5.5"
Why does everyone hate the dimple of the Moto X 2014? I like it WAY better than the first Moto X and the Nexus 6. I personally think that the Nexus 6 would look perfect if it had that from the Moto X 2014.
This looks so good. I have concerns that samsung is going to ruin it on their phones by making it look stale like touchwhiz with not much difference than their previous skins. I have seen sammobile vids of the android 5.0 beta on the S5, and it looks no different albeit some new colors. This new stock android 5.0 is really nice compared to previous stock android. The new animations and interface looks sick.
Could you please use your influence so Google might listen. The triple tap to launch the magnifier interferes with the functionality of the dialer and the calculator. Turn the magnifier function on and then open calculator or the dialer and you will see what I mean. On the keyboard it works fine. Thanks for your review by the way. So I had to send back my nexus 6 today becouse of the terribly uneven colors (top fourth of the display was really pink and the bottom fourth was extremely green). Do any of you nexus 6 owners can relate to this issue ? It is especially noticible on grey background but it was pretty noticible even on white (in my case). Do you guys think i should get a new one or get completely different phone ? (becouse it kinda seems like this issue is on every nexus 6 but most people dont notice it)

4:10 it was discovered recently that the phone actually has a LED light but it's disabled by default. Some people are getting to use it with apps like Light Flow.
The battery life and the hp size way too big for my hand and pocket. It do not sit flat on the table , instead it rock .sigh . I bought my note 4 which it's awesome. and it fit my hand and pockets just nice.
Good review, I feel like a lot of people are over exaggerating the size of this phone. Yea, its big we get it but every reviewer harps on that way too much imo. I went to the tmobile store and checked it out and liked it a lot. Definitely getting it soon
There is an Led notification light but it is disabled by default. You can enable this but you have to root the device and get lightflow ( the paid version)
I wonder what this phone would be like on the new Google network as well I wonder what they would charge per month. I would subscribe to Google service fo sho!

You can disable the option of mix the pages of Chrome with the multitasking. It's on chrome configurations.

I just got my new nexus6, on the camera edge there is a black dot, which appears to be a hole, is it a dent or all the nexus6 have the same?

I have a question about the size. If i can reach every galaxy s5 corner with my thumb would i have any problem operating with the nexus 6 with one hand(i mean normal tasks like facebook,inbox,snapchat,twitter and so on)?
This phone is an excellent phone, but the screen size is way too big for consumers, as its neither a tablet sized, neither smartphone sized. And more importantly it's not a phablet aswell, Nexus 6 should have been around 5.2"-5.5"
Why does everyone hate the dimple of the Moto X 2014? I like it WAY better than the first Moto X and the Nexus 6. I personally think that the Nexus 6 would look perfect if it had that from the Moto X 2014.
This looks so good. I have concerns that samsung is going to ruin it on their phones by making it look stale like touchwhiz with not much difference than their previous skins. I have seen sammobile vids of the android 5.0 beta on the S5, and it looks no different albeit some new colors. This new stock android 5.0 is really nice compared to previous stock android. The new animations and interface looks sick.
Could you please use your influence so Google might listen. The triple tap to launch the magnifier interferes with the functionality of the dialer and the calculator. Turn the magnifier function on and then open calculator or the dialer and you will see what I mean. On the keyboard it works fine. Thanks for your review by the way. So I had to send back my nexus 6 today becouse of the terribly uneven colors (top fourth of the display was really pink and the bottom fourth was extremely green). Do any of you nexus 6 owners can relate to this issue ? It is especially noticible on grey background but it was pretty noticible even on white (in my case). Do you guys think i should get a new one or get completely different phone ? (becouse it kinda seems like this issue is on every nexus 6 but most people dont notice it)

I havê a nexus 5 and I'm pretty happy with it, now with lollipop its perfect. But now that Motorola started selling theirs cellphones back in my country, my next will be their flagship at the time
As much as I love pure android Google, I really hate Motorola... especially a pricey nexus device.. should be like the nexus 5 launch... oh microsd would be nice.
Andrioid L is sort of confusing my mom got the update on her Nexus 5 and it just......for a person who isnt young or tech savvy that update is going to be a issue the first day. and android please let people customize the color of the pull down notification bar. that blue color is so ugly.
the more i see of this phone the more i realise why iPhone is so much better. I mean, theres no innovation, no finger censor, no curved glass, no bonded display, shit camera......who the fuck would buy this crap?
So when I tell "OK Google" to play music from the lock screen it tell me I have to unlock the phone before it can do it. Not like in the video where it just plays. What am I missing. If I have to walk over to my phone and unlock it the feature is useless?
hey are you going to do a review of the moto x2 w/lollipop? Im torn between the two bc the moto x2 is cheaper and i'd rather have pure/stock android than touchwiz bc I hate laggy phones.

4:10 it was discovered recently that the phone actually has a LED light but it's disabled by default. Some people are getting to use it with apps like Light Flow.
The battery life and the hp size way too big for my hand and pocket. It do not sit flat on the table , instead it rock .sigh . I bought my note 4 which it's awesome. and it fit my hand and pockets just nice.
Good review, I feel like a lot of people are over exaggerating the size of this phone. Yea, its big we get it but every reviewer harps on that way too much imo. I went to the tmobile store and checked it out and liked it a lot. Definitely getting it soon

LED notification light is not missing in the Nexus 6, only disabled. Enabled via ROOT :D
There is an Led notification light but it is disabled by default. You can enable this but you have to root the device and get lightflow ( the paid version)
I wonder what this phone would be like on the new Google network as well I wonder what they would charge per month. I would subscribe to Google service fo sho!
