    If you could make a list of the parts used, that would be awesome to look at!

      Thanks Sam for the positive comment. I’m in a position with life and finances to be able to make some things happen. Granted this build is not for everyone but it’s pretty cool. Appreciate it

    Would love to see the coolant install and charcoal canister removal....how hard to remove and install

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shane, I've already done the install, sorry I did not film it. It was very straightforward. Requires you remove the front header pipe and after unscrewing the hose fittings from each side of the frame which go into the canister and the one at the bottom, the canister drops right out the downtube. The overflow tank slides back up in the downtube. The instructions for the KTM coolant kit are clear and easy to follow. Keep in mind you are removing the smog parts which will require ECU changes such as the GET, which I am running. Look for a final video of the completed build in a couple weeks. Feel free to reach me by email if you have any questions, I'd be glad to shoot some specific photos if you need them. code4performance@gmail.com. Thanks

    I have the 2020 350 excf and absolutely love it. I also did most of the changes to it as you are. The sickass stuff is great and so is the seat concept. I De smoged it and added the JD tuner and it made a big difference. I also change out the stock fuel pump and filter. This is one great all around machine! Look forward to seeing your bike when completed!

      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Tony. I should be shooting the final video in a couple weeks as soon as I get the suspension back from the tuner. I will do an updated in tank filter after I get more hours on the bike. I cannot believe the difference de smogging and tuning it made. Runs so much better now.

    I ordered this exact same bike last fall and it will be in next week. I'
    m in Cache Valley Utah also. Excited to see your build looks like you did your homework. Are you leaving the enduro tires on or will you be switching to more aggressive tires for the trail?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Steve. It is progressing along and I should have another video up next week showing some wiring tricks and tips. I plan on leaving the DOT tires on the stock wheels. and put dirt tires on a set of Warp 9 wheels. Honestly, this bike will spend more time on the dirt than pavement. Look me up if you need any assistance or parts. Cheers!

      No, but I know I think I have an idea who it is. Are those initials in the cut ends of downfall on the trail ?

    Can you wheelie and if so, can you wheelie the 350 or does it need more power to get front end up?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it will pull the front up. Even without the GET.

  • @chiptaxfree

    What will be the approximate cost of all these additional parts including suspension tune?

  • @markshortridge8291
    @markshortridge8291 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice bike , I’ve been looking at a 350 as well. Seems like you’re rebuilding the bike,lol. How much in parts would you say you’ve spent? I like the bikes but at that price tag should you have to.

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question and a valid comment for sure. An estimate is in the neighborhood of $6k+ in accessories. I didn’t skimp and went with reputable, quality built products, not just bling. This bike is purpose built for reliability and long days on the trail. Aside from the ecu, nothing will change with the engine. The other upgrades are for rider comfort or reliability. Thank you

    Hi I've just ordered one of these did yours come with the fan on?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the EXC models come with an OEM fan already installed. Thank you for watching.

  • @chiptaxfree

    Will you need radiator guards with the larger tank?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you run an IMS tank with incorporated shrouds then you could get away without guards. The Acerbis 3.9 gal tank does not have shrouds as part of the tank, so I went with Bullet Proof guards. In regards to your cost question, find my other video showing the completed build. In the comments to that video I give an estimate. Thank you

    Did you have any trouble getting the AXP skid plate to fit? Idk if I'm an idiot, but the front where you'd put the bolts in has a huge gap for me.

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are tight for sure. I’d leave the rear 4 fasteners loose until you get the two in front started a couple turns. Then slowly and evenly tighten all alternately. They are plastic and have a lot of flex so don’t be afraid to wrestle it in place. If it’s not looking like it’s even close, stop and double check the part number for fitment. I recall mine didn’t line right up or fall into place but not too far off to make me wonder. Hope this helps.

    How are you liking the suspension ?
    Was it both front. And rear, revale - spring ? Needle bearing in rear shock above spring ?
    Also I put a flywheel weight on mine and it made a huge difference to tractor the bike in technical terrain. No noticable lag or loss of mid- high. I do have a reflash European race spec ECU and xc-w lower gearing. Full fmf Titanium mega bomb + 4.1

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best money spent on a bike imo. Had both front and rear done, re valve and sprung. No needle bearing. This bike is amazing. Glad I went with a 350

    • @kevindouglass5175
      @kevindouglass5175 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, you can move the horn down in front of rear mud flap where smog bla bla bla was . Keep it clean and unobstructive of air flow to radiator.

      I'm selling my 2012 and placing order on a 2023. Probably can't find a 2022. Alex at Slaven said that there is No change in 23 models. Probably just graphics/ plastic. Total Model change in 24 ish.
      I'll pull what high ticket parts/ frackles I can that will fit , flex , Scott's, Dirt trx , bullet proof , TMD, BD xl 80 + , Mid west mountaineering,
      Hammerhead. ect.
      If you are doing much trail riding at night. Moto minded "Tourch" helmet light is great. You'll be able to see down dipps/ drop off's and peripherals. As you well know that headlight is intense. Then pitch black.

      @@kevindouglass5175 not sure where you are located but check Couerdelane power sports in northern Idaho. They may have one. Lots of KTMs in their inventory….sometimes. Yes, take off all your goodies and install on the new one.

    what stand are you using? It looks really nice.

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Motorsport MX Scissor Lift. A bit pricey but there are cheaper options out there such as the Tusk version from Rocky Mountain. It will lift the bike up about 30” so you don’t have to bend over. Thank you

    Got a Rekluse and LHRB on the list? Steering Stabilizer? I got a 2014 XCF W with Concept Seat and your skid protection. Be interesting to see how you like it. I was going to go with 300 XCW but found the clean one owner well set up XCF W. Good luck on the Tour. My riding buddy here in Ogden just got a 2021 Sherco 300 SEF and is trying to find all the parts to set it up for an August run at the Tour

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I wont argue one way or another regarding a Rekluse or LHRB, they are not for me. I've been riding for years without either and feel very confident. Steering damper is on the bike already and one thing I run on all my bikes. Have your buddy reach out if he wants to go over TOI details and compare notes. It will be an adventure! Thank you.

    Consumers pay several thousand pounds / dollars. for the bike and they are never quite right either choked up
    so the exhaust has to be changed cheap and bad quality parts like that standard chain every thing on
    a KTM is too be taken off and replaced with aftermarket parts,
    I just think the company needs to look at this problem before they release a new model and give a good product at the end of the production line
    has any one else noticed how the price tag has been creeping up over $10,000 for the erzberg 300 Enduro its no better than the 2019 model
    your choice of bike for what you want to do with it is a BAD one HONDA / YAMAHA offer adventure bikes already fit for purpose and the money you saved on parts could of been spent on fuel, and adventure trips

    • @kevindouglass5175
      @kevindouglass5175 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's funny that you say that. Even with all the new parts and possibility luggage. It will still weigh lest than a full size ( 450 +) Honda - Yamaha. ect Furthermore those bikes are choked up as well. Even after de smoging. They won't have the performance per cc . Just reliability & longer oil change valve adustment intervals . Also the prices haven't gone up to much on the 4 strokers KTM's exc's. My 2012 350 exc-f was $10,500 ish. brand new.
      You do have your point and thanks for sharing !
      I do believe that he as well has a passion for this. And budgets his money wisely.
      I wish you all the best on your upcoming adventures !
      Cheers
