As you can read elsewhere, refreshing a dead Li-Ion battery from voltages below 2.5 Volt can be very dangerous. Even those cells may work for a certain time they can develope internal short circuits that causes the cell to heat up and catch fire some day.
The fact he’s using an electric screwdriver, to fix an electric screwdriver just reminds me of hank hill using a can of wd-40 to open a larger can of wd-40 😂
Could use a heat gun to bring back the sheen on the case, or even a clear coat of catalyzed spray paint... But nicely refurbished either way. Thumbs Up!
Heating is not a complete solution, only a temporary fix. After a few weeks, the faded appearance will come back. The wax used will act as a clear coat.
You should replace those batteries, they are dammaged . 18650 batteries should be charged until 4.2v in order to provide 11.5 to 12.5v during discharge.
Nicely done! I hate to admit it, but the tool looked like it was cheap. I was WRONG! With the battery and charger, it sells for £934.84 new! That is a precision driver.
what exactly does a precision driver do that a regular Milwaukee fuel or surge couldn’t? very cool project i thought it was cheap as well kind of wondering where $900+ price tag comes from?
@jboy856 I was wondering that myself and read it up. It's made for industrial use on an assembly line. It's meant to be set-up by a supervisor or engineer to a certain torque for an assembly worker to use it for things like fastening just one type of screw on a car. Fein describes these tools as programmable now but I think this one is an older one. They make a particular point on the worker NOT being able to manipulate the settings in any way himself. Also Fein sells it as being able to fix 500.000 screws without any maintenance which is pretty good. But then again, that's mostly one single type of screw inside a factory vs. your Milwaukee that's working on all types of things, sometimes outside, getting dropped, etc. It seems to really be a niche thing.
Super great restoration.
Fein probably the best electric tool ever made!
That is excellent restoration. Not only did you get the screwdriver working again but you also got it looking better as well. Good work.
ive never seen a mechanism like this before
Good job but you should have replaced those bearings
there's very high quality screw driver definitely ...not like new generation ...great work buddy ...thanks..
Well done 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Excellant restoration.. A handy tool indeed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First class job. Thanks for sharing !
不错哥们,广州的吗?14V的还好吧,主要是主控如果坏不太好修。12V和9V MOS管更容易坏

ALLAHU AKBAR ☝️
Such a clever lad..
Excellent job

the battery cells will need to be replaced, when they are drained like that, it always kills at least 3/4 or all of the capacity.
nah it'll be fine
You did a mighty fein job
The fact he’s using an electric screwdriver, to fix an electric screwdriver just reminds me of hank hill using a can of wd-40 to open a larger can of wd-40 😂
And you still can get spare parts for these things and for much older Fein Tools 😉😂😂
The company Fein build the first electric drill back in 1895!!
Lovely Restoration
great work on that.
Mui buena la restauracion 💪👌👍🇵🇦
perfect idea to sanblast the case. But you should have painted it with a matte transparent clear coat. Other than that chapau, well done
Correct me if I am wrong. Isn't t all screw drivers cordless?
Muy bueno maestro
Although most of the restoration videos are fake including this one, but satisfactory to watch😊😊
Great restore good for 10 more years 👍
Not when you reuse the same old bearings
The date code was from 2017, so it won’t last 10 more years if you give it back to whoever abused it like that!
@@alvinlebon9368 I’m worried about the lithium ion cells. They get damaged if you drain them that far.

use a heat gun on the plastic and it will remove the haziness . : )
Well that is a Fein repair 😉👍
🙄🙄
no pun intended 🤣🤣
Very good job 👍👍👍
Perfection
good job
Nice one

Actually each cell charges o 4,2V...

Có video bạn đang xem đó thôi
Excelente!!!
Where did you find the appropriate torque?
it might have been on the products specs, google search shows it handles up to 6nm with adjustability from 2-6nm
I looked up the spec sheet. Its adjustable. Torque range 1.2 - 6 Nm
Nice👌
What was that little blue screwdriver you used to take apart the fein?
it's a makita 12v one
What is the makita screwdriver model
the ugly duckling became a swan
👏👏👏😉
Where are you buy this???
chinese second-hand market
Haha! Using a cordless screwdriver to take apart.....a CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER.
try hydro diping it
Heat the plastic up to restore lustre.
👍💯
Bien reparado. No restaurado
Сleaned the case, changed the lubricant and charged the battery, is that all a restoration? it's called maintenance
For as worn as that looks the grease still looks ok...kinda weird
"Restoration" not even new bearings, nor cells.
После пескоструя лаком бы...
1.25x for slow speed. 1.5x for normal speed.
Don't know why I never thought of this, but watching in 1.5x makes this much more comfortable to watch. Thanks lad!
thanks for your great advice.
Don
They made such crappy machines in Germany in 2017???

fake fake all the way
Umm 😏😏 at 6:17 why didn't you change the ball bearing?
Do you think is that restoration? 🤔🤔
Please use for your health hand gloves !!!!!!
