- Hey Everyone, This is how i check my RAVE valve assembly's to make sure they are in proper working order. If you are really concerned about max performance you can pull them apart every year. I have done this for years and never had an issue. This is one of those if it ain't broke don't fix it or pull it apart if you don't have to. Hope this helps. Josh

EXACTLY what I needed to know! saved me 3 hours easy thanks man!!!!!
Thanks. This helps me with my sea doo GTX DI. Just bought it.
Thank you
My one Rave valve stripped out the threads and started spitting oil. I got a new valve, diaphragm, gaskets, and cap. I ran it once and the cap melted after a 30 minute ride. What else could it be? The housing? There is a bit of a gap but its the same through the housing into the engine
Great video! Question though.
I just did this check on my ptec 800, both raves operate smooth, however the rave closer to the PTO side is much more "oily" than the mag side.
I never used a vaccuum tool and only used the hand method. Think a seal/ o-ring could be damaged causing it to blow bypass? There isn't any obvious leaks, only when I remove the black covers.
would suggest that you check diaphram that is a sign of leak.
Great video
This work on the 08+ models as well?
Ok 👌
Great helpful video. Looks like he’s pulling on a nipple tho.
Lol. You must live around a farm. Haha
