Sounds like a good company. I haven't bought anything of theirs yet. When I had my JK, I had Teraflex shocks and one came apart on a trail, they sent a new one no questions. That's when I added limiting straps...
Yeah they have been great to deal with the couple times I needed the warranty. That’s cool Teraflex is the same, I’ve had a bad experience with a different lift company on my JK so it’s nice to see that’s not the norm. Thanks for watching man👍
Replacing some front shocks tomorrow on my own JLU. I love how something so simple as replacing two bolts still requires a trip to the hardware store. Such is life. Wish me luck.
@@FROSTBITEOFFROAD well it went fine. You were right about the top bolt being kinda hard to get to if it's just one person doing it but I got it done. Total job time was about 2 hours including cleanup. Once I got the first side done, second side went way quicker.
@@FROSTBITEOFFROAD yeah even a set of Rancho shocks is better than the JL shocks and was able to let me get rid of the old shock extensions that came with my Quadratec spacer lift. Rides at least as good as it did when stock on all seasons.
Did you do this all at ride night with the wheels on? I need to replace one shock and that’s how I want to do it even though the lift instructions say to so it at full shock extension.
Yeah it totally can be done on the ground, you will have to be strong enough to collapse the shock enough to slide in the lower bolt but it’s doable. Just turn the wheel to gain some space and attach the top first an extra set of hand probably wouldn’t hurt. Hope this helps, thanks for watching Adam!
super cool video. i have the same setup as yours . after i switch to MC game changer with the rocksport shocks, i feel street driving is much stiff then before. im not sure if this is normal, and i'm wondering whats the PSI you run on your tires?
Thanks, I normally run about 28-30 PSI. I feel like this lift rides a lot better than the handful of other ones I’ve had throughout the years. Hopefully it settles a bit for you, thanks for watching!
It’s a very compliant ride, it’s one of the best ridding lifts I’ve experienced to date. I would definitely recommend it if your Jeep spends a lot of time on the road, thanks for watching John!

@@backwoodstherapy nice, well I’m glad it went smoothly. Enjoy the new shocks!

@@backwoodstherapy that’s cool, I had some Rancho’s on an F150 and they were great 👍
Great Video thanks! Love my 3.5 MC Gamechanger lift!
Thanks Roger, yeah Metalcloak makes an awesome lift! I might jump up to the 3.5” after the next tire purchase 👍

How smooth is the ride with these shocks?

Stupid question.. did you need an alignment after replacing the shock?
Nope, doesn’t affect alignment at all. A worn out shock can affect tire wear though just so you know. Thanks for watching the video!
