Borenbuir microphone preamp review

The Borenbuir is a microphone preamp that is very similar to the SE Electrics Dynamite. This preamp is highly affordable compared to all the others on the market and it is able to supply 28dB of relatively clean gain for your microphone. I placed the Borenbuir head to head with a Cloudlifter and in my overall opinion it matched quite well against it given its price. The Borenbuir supplies more gain than the Cloudlifter and besides a few clicks and pops during the first few minutes of using it I would say it is a solid product that does what it's supposed to do. This microphone preamp does introduce a little more electrical interference noise in your signal, but the amount is so slight that I feel most would not notice it. Overall, it's a pretty all right product that you can buy off Amazon and definitely worth it especially if you have a microphone that is hard to drive and/or you blow all your money on your microphone . This is a great budget option and just a great overall option for microphone preamps.
