Pourquoi le pont d'interrogation ? Une erreur de ma part ; désolé ! Les deux pianistes sont les meilleures de leur génération ; il n'y a pas de point d'interrogation..
Jouer du piano entretient la jeunesse. Leur mémoire, leur vivacité d'esprit, leur énergie et leur dynamisme sont supérieurs à ceux de jeunes de 20 ans. Et oui !!
Dans leurs veines doit couler un peu du sang de Mozart, éternellement jeune !

My two most favourite pianists playing together, what a beautiful gift.
When you hear the two of them play together, then you fully understand who is maestra Maria João Pires ! Her tone, her refinement, delicacy, phrasing, subtlety, poetry ... is unsurprising. She brings another perspective to pianism all together. She opens new worlds ..... She is not only the greatest pianist of our time, but one of the greatest ever ! All respect to Martha Argerich, of course. She is great pianist too. But Maria brings Heaven to Earth with her playing, which opens heart, mind and spirit at the same time and heals on all levels.

I attended an unforgettable concert that left me mesmerized and exhilarated. The energy of the performers and the passion in their music was simply amazing. However, as much as I'd love to relive those magical moments, it's unfortunate that TH-cam cannot fully capture the raw emotions and electrifying atmosphere that made the concert so special. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that can only be truly appreciated in person.

The thought that such a sublime masterpiece (I am referring to the Mozart Concerto), once humans will be extinct, will be lost in oblivion and it will be as if it never existed, makes me cry. Thanks a lot to Pires which holds the Argerich (usually so eager to run...) in check and let us to listen to this Concerto in the right tempo.

Both these women interpret Mozart similarly, both are superb pianists, ergo. we are presented with a match made in Heaven. Thank you for this unexpected treat. Simple though it sounded, the Sonata is a perfect example of the absolute genius of Mozart. Loved the Mahler.

Quand on a deux aussi merveilleuses dames aux claviers, on rêve de vivre dans un monde où les musiciens auraient le temps de répéter…
Quoi qu'il en soit, c'est toujours un bonheur de suivre la gestuelle si précise de Daniel Harding. Avec une caméra juste sur lui (comme avec Messi dans le foot…) on pourrait presque écouter le concert sans le son, comme elle se travaille en classe de direction.
Merci pour ce partage et bravo pour ce sublime Mahler.
D'accord sur presque tout... Sauf : SVP, gardons le son, les techniciens sont de véritables magiciens.

I've been listening to this Mozart 🎹 concerto for over 40 years, but had never understood it - or enjoyed it - until I heard this. Bravo to whoever brought these extraordinary musicians together and, especially, thank you to Martha Argerich and and Maria Jao Pires for the joy you have given us now over several decades (! I hear someone from the public calling out a heart-felt "Merci!", which I echo!) Listening to this has truly lifted my spirits (which, in the end, is what it is all about!)

Thank You OSR for sharing this very exquisite musical experience by these divine artists. It is such a blessing and tonic for these times. Beautiful hall, wonderful orchestra and musicians. That encore was truly exceptional and I believe I won’t hear a better rendition of that Sonata for 4 hands. It was like their musical souls were fused as one….they performed it a few months back but this time it transcended into something truly magical…and you can see they enjoyed it so much too. Wonderful Mahler too. THANK YOU 🙏👏👌
