She also seems to have Rudolph Serkin's habit of singing along with playing. But out of all those notes playing together how does she decide with notes to sing? :-)

What a joy to be able to *see* her play this piece, as well as hear. She's unfathomable, and priceless. How lucky we are to have her in our age. A true authentic spirit, playing with all the ease and joie de vivre of the natural genius. ❤

Martha absolutely knows that piano inside and out. Her fingers flow over the keys like some sort of water cascading down a stream. In my opinion she is the greatest modern pianist alive, and it will be sad to see her go. But for now, keep gifting us these masterpieces!
Einfach wunderbar!
The second part is indeed breathtaking. I also listened to the interpretation by Samson Francois. I like both, Francois seems a bit more powerful, Ms. Argerich is gentle, very beautiful.
You're right. The second movement sounds really breathtaking. In her younger days, she was more powerful than now, though not as powerful as Francois. Anyway, an absolutely beautiful performance!

I don't think there is anyone who can play like Martha Argerich can. This concerto has once again come to life for me and I have heard her play it on video/record and live so many times.
