This whole channel has been me asking myself "can science explain why I like these flashing lights so much?" and it hasn't let me down yet. 💛 Thanks for watching!
The Guitar Hero series is probably my most played game series across all time. It also defined my taste in music to a large degree. Props for not being one of those obnoxious "oh no foreign name I won't even try", you did a good job with Mihály Csíkszentmihályi.
I remember and love the heyday of Guitar Hero! That definitely got me to appreciate the genre more than my old man blasting it out of the garage ever could. Didn't have the coordination to go very high on the difficulty, but always appreciated what it went for. 💚 And I try to give folks the decency of their names, if nothing else! I'm glad other folks have pronounced it before me, though; gave me a lot of practice! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@ArchivistShepard There's a project called "Clone Hero" that I still play to this day every now and then. I got pretty good at it too. Nowadays I treat it as a warmup to playing my real guitars. If you need to look up a pronunciation, lots of famous names are on Forvo, which is kind of like a database of recordings.
@@nuodso I'll have to check out CH sometime! I'm sure one of my extended network has a guitar peripheral lying around. And thanks for the heads-up on Forvo! I'll def keep that in mind for some of the other research-heavy pieces! 💜
thanks for putting into words why I enjoy DDR, FnF, Rhythm Heaven and Osu so much
