Great video! But, lemme just say that you probably got the iOS ver. of Taiko. Taiko no Tatsujin Drum n' Fun! is for the Switch, and MUCH better than the mobile version.

Genuinely SO grateful for the UI in proseka. Because I LOVE rhythm games but I can’t play like 99% of them (looking at you idol games………) because the UIs are SO DAMN UGLY AND CROWDED LIKE even when I play in English I get so overwhelmed and lost!!!! But proseka is so slick and clean and easy to get used to 😌😌😌 as a massive vocaloid game stan I’m SOOOOO happy that I actively ENJOY playing this game because I have probably over 500 hours in project diva lmao and I’d be heartbroken if I couldn’t stand playing this one when it has so many modern songs!

Honeyworks is actually really sweet, the gacha isn't rough and songs tell a certain story. Characters aren't created for the sake of being attractive to the player or fanservice, they all just have their own stories and connections which is really interesting and makes you root for them

As a rhythm game player that doesn't play idol rhythm games, this is actually quite interesting to see. It is interesting since most of them are pretty simple in mechanics and charting (granted you didn't do the highest difficulty out of fairness). It honestly makes me appreciate how accessible these games are to players who are just getting their bearings on rhythm games. Additionally, it is really interesting how most of these idol rhythm games almost share a specific formula in their gameplay while others feels like a simpler version of a more serious rhythm game (i.e. Hypnosis Mic being a simpler version of Lanota).
That being said, if you're up for a more challenging and crazier rhythm games I recommend you try out these games:
    - Cytus (There's 3 versions of Cytus: Cytus 1, Cytus Alpha, and Cytus 2. Personally, I recommend Cytus 2 as it is a lot better in terms of visuals, charting, and songs. Cytus 1 is still great but its visuals may be confusing to distinguish and its difficulty is all over the place while Cytus Alpha is just a Switch port of Cytus 1. The gameplay is somewhat comparable to Osu if you're familiar with it.)
    - Deemo (This also has 3 versions: Deemo 1, Deemo Reborn, and Deemo 2. I recommend the original Deemo as it has a lot more songs and most of those songs are godly. Deemo Reborn is just a remaster of the first Deemo with lesser songs but has exclusives and its original purpose is for a PS4 port while Deemo 2 is just a recent release so there's only a little bit of content yet. Gameplay is like playing a piano so its somewhat similar to the gameplay of idol games.)
    - Arcaea (In my opinion, Arcaea might be up your alley as it feels and has almost the same gameplay formula as idol rhythm games the only difference is that its I'd say 100x more difficult due to its charting and strict note detection but its honestly worth it for the songs.)
    - Muse Dash (This is arguably what I'd like to call a borderline idol rhythm game and serious rhythm game but lean towards more the serious rhythm game side. It has different characters you can choose to play as each with their own skill and the bubbly style of the game makes it feel like an idol game. The main reasons why it leans more towards the serious rhythm game are the songs not being sung by the characters, wide variety of songs that either have vocals or not, charting and difficulty, and the most important one, characters are unlocked and not gacha'd. You can also play this on PC.)
    - Lanota (As I said earlier, Hypnosis Mic is a simpler version of Lanota. The main reason why I called it simpler is that Lanota is crazier. How? Imagine playing Hypnosis Mic and the green note pops up but when you hit it, it not only moves the notes but the whole play area all over the screen and sometimes resizing it or even doing a whole 360. That's how crazy Lanota is.)
    - Voez (Voez is interesting since it looks simple but in actuality is hard as hell. It constantly adds new lanes or merges them mid song. Notes can also switch lanes which makes it really hard to keep track of.)
    - Dynamix (This one is pretty simple on gameplay as its a simple Mania gameplay. However, what makes Dynamix difficult is that you're pretty much playing at least 2 and at most 3 Mania games. In other words, notes come flying on at least 2 and at most 3 sides of the screen. You'll see notes coming down, going to the left, and going to the right. Its really difficult if you can't keep track of which note is coming first.)
    - Phigros (The mother of all extremely difficult mobile rhythm games. It combines everything I've said into one whole game. There's not much for me to say than it is an acid trip. Notes coming from everywhere, moving scanline, notes having a mind of its own, fake notes, changing notes, suddenly appearing notes, invisible notes, overlapping notes, every crazy gimmick a mobile rhythm game has. This game is the true test of reaction time, memory, and muscle memory. I do not recommend this game for newbie rhythm game players as its difficulty rivals that of the extremely hard community made maps in Osu which says a lot.)
There are a lot more but this is getting long so I apologize if its too long for you to read. I wanted to give you at least an overview of the more hardcore and serious mobile rhythm games out there. That being said I hope I didn't intimidate you on these games as they're really fun it just takes a lot of time for you to get used to. Anyways, looking forward to part 2 if you ever decide to make one.
(Edit: Dynamix only has up to 3 sides. Could've sworn there was a 4th line but I guess I'm misremembering things.)

As a fan of D4DJ who also happens to play the games too,
The pink thing you struggled was actually the slider. It’s played in manual mode to add more rhythm (eg. Reverb, Bitsound?).
Sometimes it ends with the slider flick, the arrow either pointing left or right.
Other times you’d have the disc hold with the slider, before the chorus begins. Resulting in *epic click noise.*
If I learnt anything from those beginner lesson songs, there is a technique.
If the slider is in a straight line, you can leave it untouched and move on with other notes.
Once the flick shows up or you need to go an opposite direction, touch it and move it.
Actually, It maybe better for you to use multiple fingers…

I've played the Project Diva games for years and started playing ProSekai (the global version) recently (over a month but less than 2 months) and I've already fc'd all the available songs on Hard and have about a quarter of the Expert songs fc'd
Though personally I think the Project Diva console games are harder than the phone one since you have to pay attention to where the notes are flying in from instead of it all just coming from one spot to another spot like in a lot of mobile rhythm games.

Also try the setlist feature too, it's pretty fun to mix and match songs.
Oh and another recommendation to try non idol rhythm games like cytus (1 and 2, preferably 2), dynamix, lanota, phigros and some others, I feel like they're more difficult but also more fun for a pick up and play kind of rhythm game cuz you don't have to worry about building a team or getting a character from gacha to get higher scores 😁

While the song selection in the game isn’t the best right now, they have a HUGE discography where I’m sure you would find some that you like! The characters also vary in age, due to the premise of how they became idols ( ex. Science teacher became an idol ) but everyone has varying reasons for why they became one! I’d recommend watching the anime to learn more about them and their whole premise!

For the bandori part, same tbh. Used to play it a lot but now I moved on to pjsekai. well, not moving on completely but more like giving focus more onto pjsekai. The thing I like about pjsekai is how snappy and responsive it is compared to bandori. I like the simplistic design of the UI and how poppy(?) it is especially the dialogue spaces. Kinda wish that bandori would revamp their UI design and stuff like using the filter to find a song there is kinda hard T^T unlike pjsekai's. But idk if this is a recency bias or anything since I've just tried pjsekai only recently but the snappiness of the game is definitely my most favourite thing about it and I don't think that will change for me for some time. That and Emu too lol.

As someone that started out the rhythm game adventure with love live sif, I have to say I have love the game and played it every single break during HS. Ever since the end of life of the game I haven’t found any game quite like it. Kinda just waiting on sif 2 to fulfill my life game.

22/7 is a really fun one imo. i actually really enjoyed the songs, and the play style reminded me of bandori but better (personally i don’t enjoy bandori’s play style but 22/7 made it more fun). the load time is really bad tho.

love live is actually one of the easiest rhythm games for me. I used to only use my thumb and the curve was super easy for thumb players.
I have once played the honeyworks one but I lost my acc and just lose all my will to make another acc 😭
I played Cytus 12 and dynamix before but again, I deleted them because my phone don’t have enough space
Idk why but my iPad somehow cannot download lanota???
right now I only play project sekai, arcaea and bandori (mostly just arcaea and bandori) and my friend play prosek, enstars and Idolish 7
I am not a big fan of pro sek because I find it very difficult to read the long and short notes 🥲 and I just don’t have time to play it

@@Anna-kz7kmas a 12.51 potential player here are some recommendations
      1. turn up the speed so that the notes are further apart and easier to read
      2. record a chart view and slow it down
slowing down charts help you read charts and memorize patterns a lot better, so you'll improve faster that way.
      3. watch pro players play arcaea
slow down the video and observe their hand placements. hand placements are especially important in arcaea since your hands move a lot in this game. don't watch stalight tho, her multifinger is really hard to understand even for me.
