  • Everybody knows collage, but what about decollage? The other way around? How does it look and what makes it interesting to investigate? I show and explain what I do and why I like art that looks unexpectedly.

    Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

      Thanks, Rachel. I like to share 'the other artists'. The well-known are already well-known and less interesting to me. Just go along and enjoy the ride. Nice to know you're on-board. Albert

    Hains has found creativity in destructiveness. What a genious.

      Thanks, Paul. That's another way of putting it. But isn't there always beauty in destruction? A half demolished building can look great. Mosaic from broken tiles. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Albert

    Hi just wanted to say, great video. If you mix 70/30 pva glue and water in a dish then add paint. Spread it as you did on the plastic you can get a stronger peel. A lot like acrylic pours, thanks from Australia.

    Zo origineel om de uitspraak van de naam ook uit te leggen! 1 puntje; in het Frans is bij (ongeveer🤔) alle woorden de nadruk op de laatste lettergreep. Raymond is dus Raymònd.😊
    Ook de inhoud van uw video’s vind ik hèèl boeiend en origineel. Dank u!👍🏽🖌️❤️🖤💛

    Reminds me of the random bits and layers of wallpaper that you’d discover years ago when redecorating. Like scraps of memories that somehow ‘stuck’. Another really interesting video Albert. A Sunday morning treat! Thank you. Now I’m off to watch the links too😊

    Great video, Albert! I really like the busy, randomness of this decollage method. There's just something aesthetically pleasing about this sort of tortured surface. To me it seems to give the idea of the past through depths of activity and life. But that also shows it's vulnerability and finality being subject to the elements of time and the forces of nature.

    • @ImperfectPaintings
      @ImperfectPaintings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Jarl. Indeed, there is more to it than just paper. It is a way of looking differently at something nobody sees. I became aware that this sort of 'news'-distribution is regulated out of my city without realizing it. Again, another underground stream is canceled. So indeed, the fabric of society is vulnerable, perhaps too vulnerable to leave it to businesses because it feels a bit like censorship. The next time I see a Loesje poster, I will appreciate it more. Albert

    Great video, Albert full of ideas and inspiration. I particularly like how you did that last one by painting two colors and then throwing the confetti on top as a random way to scrap off the surface of the paint. I'll have to try that once I get my house repairs back in order and back to normal.

    • @ImperfectPaintings
      @ImperfectPaintings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Culture Fan. It was fun to think in new ways because of how he worked. Confetti was also fun because of 2 out of 6 landed next to the paper. Good luck with your house repairs. Albert
