Yes please do sound systems. There’s one in the US called dm sound ,but limited to cars available in the USA ,have wanted to listen to the G9

Don’t think you need to do instrumental sound testing. That may be ok for sound level for noise etc. Car audio is very subjective. Better option is to have standard non compressed music of different genere that you can test on different sound system. Maybe have another subject who is not an audiophile give their opinion along with you.

This is the Xpeng G9 650 Performance Max, the mpdel of 2023 with Dynaudio, not the 2024 upgrade with the Xpeng autonomous speaker system whicu is perhaps better managed by the Xpeng software but witjh different material capacities.... Both systems should be compared together... I hope the new one is hery nice, I like tje Dynaudio System in 2023 and was estomished the 2024 versiol was not signed by them anymore! Thank you for this very rare test of audio system, very well done...

Very nice addition to the car reviews. For us 'pretrol', excuse me, EV heads, it's all about emotions in the end. And music affects emotions strongly, so fully agree on any car having a great audio to be a great car. Were you really impressed by the B&O inside the Etron? The thing is, Audi did some nasty cost cutting in te recent past with audio systems in their heigh end models. The true B&O systems like in an older gen S6 cost something like 6k euro and had many speakers and Watts, whereas the recent B&O option was around 600 to 1000 euro 'only', but the specs were far inferior as well.

Yes, good idea, do some instrumental testing of audio systems. Awaiting something on the ex90 BO when it arrives.

For me the sound system is very important but sadly many good systems a ruined by a noisy car, so a silent car with a descent system is better than a noisy car with a good system. I have several times chosen not to buy a car with bad sound systems.

It's good, but have you ever tested the KEF soundystem in the Lotus Eletre?

There has been said that both from the built in Spotify app and BT audio, it's playing on too low level. There will be an update fixing this. If you try DAB radio or some of the built in test sounds (Dolby Atmos), it's much more powerful.
