It's absolutely amazing to see many others affected by '02 as I was! Those were simpler days. Winning the cup with the kings will always have a place in my memory! Oh and the color commentary! EDIT: forgot about this gem: Jim: ''Oops! I poured coffee on my legs...'' Don: ''Those are my legs.''
same here...opened for the Foo Fighters. I was really only there to see these guys. "discovered" them on a fishing trip in Canada when we stayed in a motel room playing saturday AM videos. I was hooked immediately
It's another instance of a good Canadian group who weren't able to cross over in the States. Most of these groups would've had decent success in the American market if they were promoted better
I remember playing NHL 2002, and since then (6 years lol) I've been looking for the songs in the game. Others include Fat Lip by Sum 41, I Hear You Calling by GOB, and It's Only Me by BNL.
22 years and still loving this song every year I celebrate living this long. While others songs certainly dominate in the short run, this song I listened to THE most and will continue to late next year as well.
Funny I hear this song and immediately am brought back to playing NHL 2002 as a kid. Anything from 1997 to 2003 puts me right back to a time where life wasn’t that serious and everything was fun and free.
I miss the commentary team from this game. "What does he have to do walk on water?" "In a sense he was" "Hey you're right" "Don't trust the smiling penguin"
Saw these guys in Kelowna, BC many years ago. Awesome show! I've sunk to a brand new low many of times over the years. This tune still rocks after all these years and makes me think there will be highs soon..... 🤣
Awesome this song immediately makes me think of NHL 2002 and how much fun I was having being out of highschool and just working. The future seemed much brighter then lol Of course I liked this band too.
@Phil Skepsis Still going somehow but damn I wrote that comment 13 years ago hah and I sounded so defeated back then; when I really wasn't. I certainly was feeling wistful though.
I'll have to go back and try that game again...was really getting into it had played it a couple of times before, and had a friend over to play it with last time I picked it up off my pile of games. Liked everything else about it though. Thanks, you inspired me not to give up on NHL 2003!
NHL 2002!!! But seriously, how did this band get no recognition or attention? They’re not even in my college radio station rotation. They are a severely underrated band
Don't really know why your comment showed up in my inbox, but I agree on both counts. I still play nhl 2002 on original x-box, and I'm not really aware of Treble Chargers music, except for this song. If the rest of their music is as good as this song however, yes, they are definitely underrated.
So I just spent a night going through all the licensed soundtracks from all those great sports and racing games of my past. Tony Hawks, Need for Speed, other NHL games, you name it. This is still the best song from any of em.
I loved drafting those 85+ potential guys onto my team who never really panned out in the league like Oleg Saprykin, but other veterans like Eric Daze and of course picking those guys with the heavy shot. Such a great era of life.
I love NHL 2002, I just got done playing it on original X-box, I'm in about the 3rd year, and I'm 12-0-1 as the Caps. Still got Jagr. I love this song, and this is the first time I've ever seen the vid. 5 stars!!
oh my god!!! ive been trying to find this song for years! i kept hearing it on a nhl demo years back!!!!!!!! reunited at last. thanks 4 da upload dude!!!!!
for sure dude,.i use to skate out front of my house with my childhood bros with the treble charger cd cranked to pump me up..90's and even early 2000 was sick to grow up to
this brings me back to the end of grade 6. hanging out on the beach hot summer days hearing this blaring from people's cars ect ect. the days before TH-cam when I'd hear a song I liked on the radio and use a tape recorder to record part of it
cashtheyen Yeah. Been a fan of them since like 99 when I was 7 years old. Shit got real bad there for a while. They did make the playoffs in 2002, only to get knocked out by the blues. Still was a good year before everything went downhill.
Do you know the name of the other song from NHL 2002? I think the chorus goes, "I hear you calling/ Calling to me out in the night/ And it's so sad/ And I know that"
heard it in NHL 2002!
Magik Mike wow magik mike, thought i would never find you here with 0 likes lol
The goat!

Well they suck at it now. The old soundtracks are way better than today.
I agree
They used to do it right but their soundtracks have been absolute shit for quite some time now.
NHL 02, So cool to discover this song once again and remember that time..
I was going to post that and I was like... I bet the first comment mentions NHL 02. Kudos!
This and “Heavy” by collective soul were such kickass songs on that sound track
9 year old me playing this on NHL 2002, how I would love to go back in time. The NHL franchise definitely has the best soundtracks
Coming home from school, powering on PC into windows XP and starting NHL 2002. Miss those days..
What memories, I was a young single guy playing NHL 2002 listening to this tune, now middle aged married dad. Time does fly...

+Jack Hughes (Canuckdude22) - NHL 2002?!
The year is 2002 and Mike Comrie has led the Oilers to their ninth consecutive Cup. Comrie finished the year with 95 goals and 186 pts.

I used to love listening NHL 2002 soundtrack for hours back in 2006.

This could potentially end up like R.Kelly's "Bump 'n Grind".
NHL 2002 soundtrack = best of all time

I didn't have NHL 2002, but my friend did. I remember this and I Hear You Calling from the soundtrack. Great tunes...
I had NHL '03-'07, though.
Nori really has now "sunk to a brand new low."
I haven't heard this song in years. Randomly just thought if it. Ahhhh, memories. What a great tune.

NHL 02 !!! It's crazy how much video game soundtracks shaped our music tastes :)
