      Anything thoughts on packing cubes? Are they beneficial?

    I bring something with electrolytes like pedialyte powder packets (if you get too much sun or the big D), a few sleeves of cranberry pills and probiotics for prevention, some ginger tea bags (or the ginger packets that dissolve) for bad belly or nausea, small tubes of aloe gel for sunburn & anti-itch for bug bites.

    Great info!! Some things I hadn’t thought of. I take AZO cranberry tablets for UTIs. Easy pack blister packs.

    I travel with a little rigid strapping tape. It stays on better than a bandaid when a blister or sore spot is starting. This tip is from my ballet dancer daughter! It also works to cover holes in bags, when you are travelling.

    Great kit! A dental repair kit might also be a good addition. I had a crown come off once while on a cruise, and wished I had had one of those!

    FYI: the ingredient in both Ibuprofen PM & Tylenol PM that helps you sleep is diphenhydramine, which is the generic name for Benadryl.

    Pepto, great for a upset tummy. Will usually help kids, once they take a “little” something they typically feel better very quickly. If not it’s a clue that medical attention might be needed.

    I added smooth move by traditional medicines for when your system gets out of wack and you get constipated.

    Never heard of drinking Hibiscus 🌺 tea for a UTI. Great tip, I will have to get some.

    • @GenxGypsy1968
      @GenxGypsy1968  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just make sure you don't add any sugar to the tea, the sugar is the big culprit for UITs :(

    I just discovered your channel and enjoy your content. I take zinic tablets if I feel like I am coming down with a cold or I've been around someone that I know is under the weather. I take one for three days or if I am traveling one every other day. It seems to help keep the germs away.

    Just be careful to declare things like the hibiscus flowers or other unprocessed or dried plant material if entering a country with strict biosecurity controls like Australia.

    Did you say where you get the hibiscus tea flowers?

    • @GenxGypsy1968
      @GenxGypsy1968  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are available on Amazon, there are a few different options to choose from. Just search for "dried hibiscus flowers". :)

      I'm pretty sure I got that bag at CVS, but here is a link to one at Amazon that is similar (I'm not an affiliate :)).

    A first aid 🩹 kit is a must to take on a trip and you can get one for under $15 if you look carefully. They sell first aid kits where I work at Wegmans.
