i don't know if i said this before but , man.. you are a God! with your help I did Button box with ignition key , now I'll order everything is needed for the wind sim . thanks!!
Can this be combined with the RUMBLE PEDALS setup on the same Arduino and shield? Or need separate ones? If not can it be use with other Arduino and shield versions?
I was also wondering about this. But I don't think so. To my knowledge, the sketch you load onto the Arduino is application specific. If you load the "Sim Wind" sketch, then load the "rumble" sketch afterwards, you will erase the first sketch. If you could merge the 2 sketches, it could be done, but for ease of use, and fault finding, I would purchase another Arduino, and build both. In fact, that's what I did...
@@louisbabyCT It is compatible. I setup the rumble pedals first, then used the 2 extra outputs on the motorshield for 2 fans. Really easy and works great. Make sure to use a 12v power supply with enough current to feed your fans. My power supply is rated 2.5 amps.
Thanks for the video! I’m actually following the instructions and works fine! But the fan is always running in a min speed while plugged to the power.. never reaches 0. Is there any way I can completely stop the fan when the car is not moving?
great contribution!! has already made a car steering wheel with your ideas ..... But this time I had a problem, the fan seems to have no strength and emits an annoying sound ... what can it be? I followed the tutorial carefully ... thanks in advance.

Hello, good video. Let's see if you can help me. I have 2 4 pin fans and I have the Arduino Uno R3 and the Shield v2.0 motor board. The question is how do I connect and in what order the 4 wires to the Motor Shield board? I have seen your videos and you only connect two cables. Thanks in advance.
Do you have any advice for what to do if the fan's are emitting a high pitch squeal when not at 100% duty cycle. I've tried two different models/makes of fans now and the system emits a horrible high pitch whine when at low RPM's. I'm a little stumped as to what is causing it or how to remedy it. When at near or 100% the squeal goes away and is just replaced with the fan noise itself. Thanks
Use some kind of fwd shifter like a vw shifter for example because rwd shifters are usually a rod going directly into the trans so you won't be able to do much without the trans.

@amstudio does this fan and motorshield combo exhibit coil whine? I have made one of these with SanAce 150mm fans and Adafruit Motorshield V2 and get a pretty annoying whine from about 30% power (when the fan starts spinning) to about 80% power. After that its fine but obviously limits the effectiveness of speed based telemetry input.
Hi Amstudio, thanks for your great videos. Planning to do the wind generator and the pedal rumble mods: Do I need two Arduino boards or can I do both mods with a single one? thanks
Sorry if this has been asked but i tried looking through the comments as best i could... Can this be used on the same board that is used for the rumble pedal mod? Just using a different open port?

Do you use one controller for 3 rumble motors and one fan?
Wondering what's next, maybe a set of exhaust to generate some smoke 😁. Nice one mate great video as always!
