Many thanks for your awesome videos! Although i do not have any experience with electronics, soldering or programming an Arduino, i successfully built up the gear indicator and the LED Rev-indicator. Works perfect! Looking forward to try other projects of your channel. Greetings from Bavaria/Germany and sorry for my bad english...
Thank you for these great Videos! Keep up the great work! I'm building my own setup and these how to videos are such agreat inspiration on what to do next! definitely going to build one of these!
Hi, how you made rpm indicator around gear number? In one point of your video gear number was smaler and rpm around it. I try to do same with 8x8 rgb matrix. Nice video thank you
I just built this and I'm telling you it works great and your instructions was very clear and easy to follow. I love this thing. I can't wait to get home and install it on my home setup. Next I'm gonna try the button box. Only problem is I use it for american truck and when I get 9th gear it doesn't go any higher. Is there a different matrix that I can use to get double digit numbers?
I am using a flag display working also with arduino nano, the data line is connected to the D4 on the arduino. Can I use the same arduino nano to operate a gear display simply by starting with connector 5 up to 7??? Or do I have to use a new arduino nano with each hardware-plugin...
Hi, first I would like to thank you for the 32 function button box video. I was able to make my own, something I would have never thought of... everything is very well explained... thank you very much!!! One question, to make this Gear indicator, can the Arduino Pro Micro be used? the same one you use in the button box? or does it have to be the Nano V3? Thanks again!
Hey man, your videos are top notch. Short, easy to follow and hella informative. Just started building the sim dash, the sequential gear and button box. Just a small question, if you ( or somebody) can anwser, I would be gratefull. Can´t we use the same Nano without messing with code/sketch to build the sim dash and this gear indicator all in one package instead of using one Nano for each? Thanks man, love your work!
Hello everyone!! I don't know if anyone can help me. I have installed a ws2812b matrix and it works but the LEDs are disordered. I have tried the serpentine setting and it still doesn't show anything ordered. I don't know what else to do, I've searched and can't find anything that works for me.
Hi, I was wondering, can I use a 2.8" Nextion HMI TFT LCD Display Module For Raspberry Pi 2 A+ B+ & Arduino Kits instead the one you recomended? Thanks and congrats for amazing work you do.
Two Questions: 1. did you say this can be entirely connected without soldering by using the pins on the dot matrix and using the supplied pins with the Arduino? 2.Do you like this the look of this display over the nextion one?
@@amstudioprojects i have a question. in the rev light video it shows you are using d4 for input and here you are using d4 too. so can i just change the pin to other pin if i were using only 1 board for both ?
Amstudio please help!! I have done exactly the same thing as you . The leds power on , all of them. I get in game they still all on, i shift to one . You can see something is happening because it first goes black then red again. But the wholr screen is red! I dont get 1 2 3 4 5 etc
Hello. Love Your videos mate! I've got a problem with this one. I've ordered the parts You recommended and build as in Your tutorial, but I can not get it to work with Project Cars 2. The SimHub shows that the game is connected, but all of the leds in the matrix just keep staying on and nothing else happens. Any ideas?
I also have this issue, same in every game I try. LEDS stay powered on and don't change, the lights on the Arduino (RX/TX) flicker when at high RPM but the matrix doesnt change
I kept the stems on the display screen and soldered the stems to the board as I plan to install it onto a tach can. I cannot get it to work, unplugging it lights up the display for a instant then goes off. Any idea as to what can I check.
Where do you get th e small box from??? I have looked in our electronic store but they just offer me the LED Matrix... Unfortunately I don`t have a 3D Printer
Hey wotever, great job on the Simhub :-) i´m using and it really is a great piece of software for the end user. Small related question, can we connect the tm1638 + MAX7219 dot matrix + 2 MAX7219 7 segment to only 1 Nano v3? You think the Nano 5v output will be enough? Thanks man.
I want to do this project so bad, but there is something thats stands in my way. This soldering iron is too expensive for me. Ive seen some go for as cheap as 5 euros. Are they trustworthy?
Hallo bei meiner ganganzeige sind die Zahlen auf den Kopf gestellt und kann es nicht ändern kannst du mir weiterhelfen. Habe schon Portrait 180 Grad probiert usw funktioniert leider nicht LG Jakob
can anyone Help me? i used an arduino uno because i cant upload the code to a nano for some reason and the code uplodes fine to the uno but when i start up a game the display doesnt work. i have the wiring right and i followed all the steps in the video but i cant figure out why it isnt working (i tested it on dirt 4 and project cars 2)
This rig keeps getting better and better, hell know what you'll do next!
such excellent videos. thank you. can a nano run both the gear led as well as the rev light bar?

I followed the tutorial and everything is working perfectly, thankyou!
THANK you very much recieved all the products and works like a charm did also bought the 3d file from you and got it 3d printed love it

is it possible to use arduino nano with WS2812 and MAX7219 at the same time?
Awesome, does it need to be plugged in any way to the car, besides power i mean, thanks looks smooth as silk
you should do a video explaining how to combine these with buttons boxes or with other displays!
your videos, specially the diy's are awesome!!

2:58 how did you add the revving
in sim-hub under "display and alerts tab" then on the matrix font dropdown list select - animation
What a cool project! it works perfectly fine for mine. I wanted to change the font but is it possible to change the font in free version?
Does this work with assetto corsa competizione?
What if you have Rev light and gear shift indicator in one micro? and the Gear shift is separate enclosure
Love ur vids keep em up👍
Thanks Tom!
do you have to have sim hub running in the background on pc for this to work?
Is the h-shifter still holding up or has it started to show wear and tear?
hey amstudio..another great vid...i wanted to ask you..whats your opinion on live for speed game?
Hi, I was wondering, can I use a 2.8" Nextion HMI TFT LCD Display Module For Raspberry Pi 2 A+ B+ & Arduino Kits instead the one you recomended? Thanks and congrats for amazing work you do.
very nice. can it be done with a display with more dots?

1. did you say this can be entirely connected without soldering by using the pins on the dot matrix and using the supplied pins with the Arduino?

what can you not make?
awesome!
Great Job. One question about M3 Bolts, which screw lenght (5mm,6,8,10)?
Love your sim stuff keep up good work

Another good video. I have made one now, it is possible to rotate it 90 degrees. When i do it in simhub, nothings happens. Thanks
Can you do this with a pro micro
Sweet little box :D
How is it taking input from vehicle?

I think with every addons you are presenting you should do a tutorial on how to make your own usb Hub ahah

*Amstudio* it's able to connect few different things to one arduino or I must bought few and add separately?
Yes a few items
Love it, also, where do you get the labels for your button box just below it? Built one of my own, but lack the labels.
I use an office label maker to make them

I got it to work, I had to change a setting on the game (automobilista 2).

Muy bueno amigo !!! Lo voy a construir !!
Where do you get th e small box from??? I have looked in our electronic store but they just offer me the LED Matrix... Unfortunately I don`t have a 3D Printer
I designed and printed the box. You can use a local 3d print service
How do you trim the perspex?
Using a hacksaw and finish by hand. Will make a video showing soon.
amstudio thanks
Thanks for your work
