  • As a dedicated collector of Redline Hot Wheels I am always wanting to buy more collections. To be interested in a collection it must have something that I would like to add to my personal collection. Then there must be popular models to ad to the cars for sale on my website. And if the collection is a fair price then yep I'm going to buy it. This collection was more fun that most because it was an in person deal and included several hours of conversation about life and growing up in the early days of Redline Hot Wheels.

Try taking a dry erase marker and go over the felt marker on the base of the hot wheels, then try wiping it off right away…

To remove black marker. Write back over it and wipe it while it's still wet. It comes off pretty easy. 😎🏁

About 2 years ago the toilet paper that wrapped the cars was probably more valuable! Seeing that jack rabbit special brought back memories of m uncle always bringing me the hot wheels he got for fillups from Arco stations! I was at a garage sale some years ago and the guy was selling a few hot wheels in rough packaging, we got to talking and I told him I got the first of them for christmas in 68. He took me into his large garage, and he's been collecting everything hot wheels since them, and had the "Flying curves" set i got that christmas new in the box, as well as the "super stunter" set my older brother got. He had all the cars, originals and sets. It was a good hour of remembering all the toys, commercials, and sets, human race, sizzlers, the plane series and all of it. He had everything, all in original unopened packaging, and had been buying it since they came out. There used to be a tool for straightening the wheels out , and a "mouse's mustache" for sizzlers to get them to bounce off walls. All the weird stuff I'm remembering seeing these..

To get felt marker off the bottome of a vintage redlinebase, use an old sock or cloth and isapropal achole aka rubbing achole and it will come out perfect 😎😺

You can use a white board marker to right over the righting and it should run off with the eraser end

I learn from your knowledge base every time, thank you. Try mineral spirits on the kim marker, shouldn't touch the paint.

I've have often been told I have a face for radio. Actually I have been told I should have been in radio but based on my family history I would more likely have been a carnival barker. Yes my great grand father was a carney, actually ran the electrical. I saw him and his "woody wagon" car just once in my life and it was when the carnival was in town. In my box of family photos there are many photos of my mom with carnival people like the fat lady, the hairy lady and also animals like elephants. The apple does not fall far from the tree!

The Dump truck is a Chevrolet or GMC. In my 64 years, I have never seen this case. The only company as I recall to release a Dump truck with the Chevrolet cab was Mini lindy. I really think this is a Generic case that some stores would have in store to promote the off-brand cars & trucks

It's from a couple years before Hot wheels, and is marked mattel. It looks a little familiar to me, those vinyl over cardboard carriers were around. When I first saw the box I thought it was from Matchbox though.

Somebody likes Silhouttes. What's that car with the bearded guy? has redlines but I've never seen that in Hot Wheels lineup. The White Snake and blue Camaro are my favorites. American Muscle for the win for me.

As much as I love my hot wheels collection I’ve been totally engrossed - fascinated with the muscle machines series - thinking about doing my own video - have 50+ casting so far - the incredible detail, packaging - just phenomenal - would love to hear your thoughts - see more of your collection?
