- This just in a really neat collection from the wild country of Idaho. Who knows what Elk or Bear walked by the place where these rare Hot Wheels were found. Well actually more like safe in a closet of a family in the burbs! But hey Wild Idaho sounds so much cooler! Check it out as I reveal over 40 Redline Hot Wheels in nearly un-played with conditions.

Yes, true however condition is critical to current value. Old hot wheels have value in any condition unlike just about every other toy car.

Did you know that if you touch the base with your fingers It Will slowly get darker
I keep my 👉 dry and and I am super careful usually. 🧐 I do wipe down bases before putting the cars away.

Unfortunately I love Redlines and whenever I get a collection I like to put them on display. Before that I make a list of model, color, and condition. If there are some not that great I will sell those right away. I work from the least to the best, that way the best seldom leave. The good ones I do list are models that I have had for a while and are duplicates.
This collection has to be at least 10 grand worth haha

I can't really say right now. I always watch what Redlines are selling for on the internet and at the Hot Wheels Conventions but have not seen a light green in a similar condition lately.

We all do. But back in 1968 they were hard to find that is why they are near impossible to find in package or loose mint. Two reason that I can think of, first the concept cars were too cool and secondly Mattel had extra costs involved in using the name brand real cars. Anyway most collections have maybe one Camaro in Blue with chips. The really nice Camaros come from other collectors who have been trading amongst themselves for 50 years.

Wheel swap?..leave those things alone
The wheels on early Redlines easily come off and go on. ALL ORIGINAL ONLY. However on the Hong Kong 68's you really have to be careful not to pull of the bearings. Such as Barracuda if I have a nice one with bad wheels I will snip the tire so it cracks and falls off.
I don't believe you would cut off a redline wheel on anything...thank you for replying tho...just don't tell me you restore redlines haha..thanks
@@storeisclosed4101 You cannot restore a Redlines, once damage or used to a point you can repaint it but will never be restored as in good as new.

Gone to hundred(s) Hot Wheel convention and TOY shows ...I knew a lot of guys that had mint Redline collections ....So these guys were in their mid to late 60's and some 70's Make me wonder If the dudes are still around(alive) if often wonder what happened their huge Redline collection that had back in he day ....Some 25 years ago
Whenever someone has a huge collection at any age and wants to sell there are plenty of guys ready to pounce. Then that guy takes what he wants for his collection. Then they call their friends who come right over and buy up the good stuff. Then the rest goes to eBay or a convention. There is absolutely no shortage of demand for mint redlines.
