There are various colors that metal can turn, most it's sort of blueish. Or if the metal was not polished right it can be dark. Corrosion can be an issue. But there is a look that only touching with sweaty kids hands can lead too. Email me pics if you have any questions about the condition of an original redline.
What a beautiful collection of Redlines some of the best you have shown , i was watching on my 42 inch TV and drooling. great vid. Thank you from a UK fan.
awesome show for me here in Canada Ontario great for picking up tips from your vidoes i just recieved a mid shape collection of 1967n 68 redlines 96 in total love hot wheels to thanks for sharing your advice n awesome job :)
Hi David , I watched this video from start to end on my big TV. It was amazing. Just like Christmas opening all those amazing cars. I am a "redline" collector from Ontario , Canada and would LOVE to get my hands on this collection you have just shown. I will be contacting you very soon in regards to purchasing a few cars. I am a subscriber and will be watching for your next video. Thanks for sharing.
Two quick questions what do you do with the redlines that you have more than one off? e.g. Having two blue camaros or something like that 2nd question I have a Red T-bird HK that has pretty bad toning on the front end and very little toning on the rest of the car and a few missing bits of paint on the corners of the car. how much would it be worth IF i ever considered selling it?
I found a beach bomb in a near mint condition side loader without the boards ...and I didn't know it is rare ....isn't it ? And how much it worths ? ....greetings
You know your old school hot wheels, how do you determine the price on the collection, I'm sure people say they have complete originals and then you have blisters resealed, then the resell has to be a huge difference between authentic and replicated. You been doing this for awhile so i would imagine you get the right price.
I found a roger dodger, don't remember if it was blue or purple or if interior was white or what, but he wanted 5 dollars and I thought that was high got home and thought about it it was kinda rough but do know it was a roger dodger, new to this and don't know what they are worth he had a lot of red lines and some I think may have been real riders, they had bigger wheels and no red stripe, going back but would like some help if you could
THE LOST YEAR I SOLD MANY OPIECESES OF MY COLLECTION I NEED RENEWVE MY COLLECTION I AM WATCHING MANY MODELS WHAT YOU HAVE VERY NICE COLLECTION I AM FROM MEXICO
Cool collection i got hotwheels from the 70's & 80's any one know the value of a 1986 transformer hotwheel from 1986 it is blue on the topand orange on the bottom im gonna make a video tomorrow be on the look out!!!!!! Any value to these things????? I collect alot of stuff
Yes, any man who drops a nice purple Charger, asks himself if he chipped it, then moves on (unfazed) to the next car...has too many nice Redlines. Me, jealous? No, no way.
I rarely repeat myself, and find that saying the same thing just doesnt happen because there is so much to say so never saying the same thing is important as I do not repeat myself for a second or third time. So no it never happens. The repetition that is. Lol
The two 442's are reproductions. There is some touch up issues. Both blisters were resealed. I took all of this in to consideration when buying. I've seen it all in the last 30 years .
I think the bottom has fallen out of the market for the Pink Rear Loader. The person who owns it today paid half that and I am pretty sure if t were for sale just getting that money back would be a challenge. How many folks want to spend even 50 grand for a hot wheels car? I think everyone who wants to do that has already done it. But you never know! I use to dream of Bill Gates coming in to the hobby and hiring me to manage his collection...
Jeez, your complaining about the condition of a blister pack from 1968! And condition of loose cars. Be grateful to even get them. also cut down all the chatter and let's get to the cars you probably low balled to get your greedy paws on
Low balling is something that is not possible when you are being contacted by people who see you on the internet. They find many collectors advertising to buy collections. And they go on eBay and see high asking prices for junk cars and they think they have a gold mine. I think they only way to get a low ball deal is if you are out at a garage sale and the people just did not take the time to look up values. Usually I tell the people what their cars are worth and then I make a fair offer. The secret to getting a fair price for both parties is to know what cars actually will bring on eBay. For instance if a Brabham Repco is auctioned on eBay and it is say Near Mint it will probably sell for $20 to $25. On my site I could get $39 easily. Guys like the convenience of browsing and buying easily. So when I figure what I would pay for that Brabham it is going to be 70% of the eBay selling value. I am prepared to have any of my cars sit on my site for as long as it takes for the right buyer to come along. Also if a collection has cars I really want then I will have to compete with every Redline buyer and it will cost a lot more. From a distance you cannot low ball, it just is not going to work. Also I've been doing this so long that at this point it doesn't really matter what a collection costs, if I want it I buy it. Time is passing and we only have so many years left so whatever it takes to get Redlines well then Dag Nab-it Get'R done!
I used to purchase Redlines brand new at my local candy store back in the 1960s. I still have a couple hundred of them.

Great video 👍
I thought the "cars jump out of the box" line was funny, people are just so critical, even when they are seeing something for free.
Lucky for you the fender was already chipped on the Charger.
Sweet.

I am a kid right now and I am a fan of hot wheels
I found a roger dodger, don't remember if it was blue or purple or if interior was white or what, but he wanted 5 dollars and I thought that was high got home and thought about it it was kinda rough but do know it was a roger dodger, new to this and don't know what they are worth he had a lot of red lines and some I think may have been real riders, they had bigger wheels and no red stripe, going back but would like some help if you could
"real nice", "real nice", "real nice"
Hey where do you buy all these cars I cant find a seller that sells in bulk like this?
Red Stripes or Circles to be accurate on the wheels. A popular addition to cars made in the 60's.
THE LOST YEAR I SOLD MANY OPIECESES OF MY COLLECTION I NEED RENEWVE MY COLLECTION I AM WATCHING MANY MODELS WHAT YOU HAVE VERY NICE COLLECTION I AM FROM MEXICO

Can anyone tell me what kind of oil or wax he puts on the blue cloths to rub down the cars to make them shinny?
RJ Rand the blue rag is coated with H2O. The camera and bright light make them look bright.
Any of them for sale
I cringed when he dropped the purple charger
Yes, any man who drops a nice purple Charger, asks himself if he chipped it, then moves on (unfazed) to the next car...has too many nice Redlines. Me, jealous? No, no way.

Do you have to repeat everything, repeat everything?
I rarely repeat myself, and find that saying the same thing just doesnt happen because there is so much to say so never saying the same thing is important as I do not repeat myself for a second or third time. So no it never happens. The repetition that is. Lol
