    Do you think you could follow these same steps to apply your own ceramic coating? What did you think of the final result?

    Hey Scrapper! From wash to finish with coating you said 5-6 hours?
    Greta job, Even a Corolla can look fantastic!

      Without polishing, yeah you could probably do it in that time.

    Awesome job, MOHS is a go-to of mine! A tip for working in high heat though (I've had to apply it in full or direct sunlight a few times) is to just work smaller areas. Your hood, for example, could have been split into quarters. Anywho, keep it up!🤙🏾

      Thanks! Yeah I figured that I was working in too big of patches.

    Well done mate on your first go always hard to find the right amount to apply but do more and you will get there. Also is the quote from - coming to America? I could be wrong but im sure it is.

    Great work!!! You did well. Just some pointers, whenever polishing stay away from edges, get paint gauge because you need to know how much paint you have to work with. Apply ceramic coating in small sections so you can level the coating better (but as you do more cars you will get comfortable). Even if you have a high spot or a patch like in the video, you can go back the next day and level it off. Most of the coating give you about 24 hrs to find mistakes. Even I do a last check before delivering the vehicle to the customer and find some uneven spots. I just wipe it down or just a little compound on a towel can balance it.

      Thanks for the tips. I know I went a little too fast on this first one. My impatience is one of my biggest weaknesses. I do need to get a better paint inspection light and also a paint gauge.

    Think you did a great job! You should check out some of DIY Detail videos for fantastic tips on applying coatings and machine polishing as well, I’ve found them revolutionary!

    Looks fine to me Scrapper but then I haven’t used it before! All a learning curve I suppose. Well done again 👍

      Thanks much Simon. I did a lot of prep work, but the coating application was much easier than I thought it was gonna be.

      @@ScrappersDetailing-
      was this a rotary polisher or a DA? You did a phenomenal job!

    • @ScrappersDetailing
      @ScrappersDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrChuckwagon55 Both polishers were DA. I am not ready for a rotary yet. Those things can really get through paint if you aren't careful is what the pros have told me.

    Don’t expect super durability. Gyeon mohs evo is shocking with serious drop off in performance. Failed in 9 months on my own personal car . Another hype product

    • @ScrappersDetailing
      @ScrappersDetailing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really? That’s disappointing. I have heard mostly very positive reviews from others. Guess I’ll have to see how long it lasts on my daily driver.

      I thought this one was one of the best.
      Especially their new Mohs Evo.
      I have a black car and want that deep gloss... thats what Mohs Evo is very good at right?
      They say it lasts 4 years.
      Even with 2 I would be happy when deep gloss....
