    Phew! I just ordered 2 more 50ml bottles of MOHS Evo for my customer's vehicles and was hoping your video would just confirm what I already know. This coating is amazing. Almost too simple to apply and buff off you wonder if you are really applying it correctly. I usually apply two layers one hour apart on vehicles. I also use Synchro frequently (Gyeon Skin on Mohs). My customers love the gloss and performance of these coatings!!!
    My advice, and from instructional videos that I have watched, is to apply the product heavily and do not overwork it with your applicator. Just lay it down, watch it sweat immediately, and then wipe it off. Easy! Great video buddy! Ohio, USA.

    Mohs Evo was the first coating I ever applied... User expirience was so enjoyable, that I could coat a whole building without breaking a sweat... So smooth, easy to read and apply... And this video actually gave me even more trust in the coating with durability tests done... I can easily say that, at the moment, Gyeon is probably the most serious "player" in the GLOBAL detailing industry, their consistency over the whole product range is simply incredible 0

    I had zero experience with even washing my car, let alone doing coatings and everything else. It was the Gyeon products (and a lot of time watching watching reviewers and TH-camrs like Sandro) that gave me the confidence to do it myself on my new car. The Gyeon products are terrific - I've yet to come across one that I wasn't happy with.

    Thank you for this comparison test Sandro. I purchased Gyeon Mohs EVO (still haven't applied it yet) not just for its excellent performance, but for the fact that it's advertised as "outdoor friendly" and cures in 12 hours as opposed to 24 hours required by most other coatings. I don't have a garage and having the coating cure in as little time as possible is important for me.

      After you apply mohs go over it with gyeon cure. They say to wait an hr but I like to wait a couple. It allows mohs to breathe/ cure all the while reducing the chance of water spots . Thus drastically reducing cure time . I release my customers vehicles in under 8 hrs . Sometimes even 6 hrs after both applications depending on weather conditions ie humidity.

  • @derrickabare9986

    Me being a mobile and using a shelterlogic tent at home I jumped all over the evo line this spring and never looked back. I use / sell cancoat, one and mohs . Offering 3 different price points to my customers. Cancoat I leave as a stand alone . One and mohs I apply gyeon cure after a couple hrs . Helps cure time , limits water spoting so I'm able to turn the vehicle over to customers much quicker than the 24 hts other coatings seem to require. That's a big deal when working mobile or tent in the yard and a big deal to customers.

    Wow Sandro thank you. I really don’t think people understand how much time (and money) a video like this takes to produce. All while trying to run your business! Great job! Over 4 months I have done 14 coatings all with Mohs evo. Just saw the first one I did for a check in this week and it looked like it was 2 days old. Haven’t ordered CSL OR 3.0UK since. Those 2 don’t seem to like the humidity/ heat here in gulf coast in Texas during application. Mohs laughs at it. It’s soooo easy. I have yet to find a downside to it. I haven’t tried it yet but just for giggles I want to top a test hood of mohs with exo4. No one from either company will tell me if will work but if it does that would be insane. G'day Sandro, thanks again for another great review ceramic coating for the DIY. Now 4 years since my introduction to quality car detailing, I have found that not one detailing manufacturer has products that can cover all aspects car detailing. I use multiple Brands to wash my car (outside 24/7), depending if its a weekly/fortnightly rinseless wash or a maintenance wash. For example, Optimum is known for its rinseless and waterless washers, even though I have their ceramic coating Opti-Pro+, it required professional application. P&S is known for their toppers and quick detailing products and also wheel cleaning. Gyeon I use for my glass and I use Wet Coat for my wheels once washed that keeps them clean. Car Pro I use their interior cleaning products and tyre dressing. I think detailing companies should concentrate on their known products and keep evolving them, as I think there is plenty of room in the car detailing industry. Of course, if you want a higher quality ceramic coating, then you go to a professional detailer such as yourself. Cheers Ozz

    Hello @CarCraftAutodetailing and thank you for really good test.
    Honestly i have to say that Gyeon coatings are very good. I applied 10/2021 old model Pure for my G20 BMW, and after 100 hand washes (winter petrolium based solvants because of salt and tar.. , summertime very strong bug remover products for hood and roof, almost every wash.)
    it still works 70-80% good. I will do machine polishing once again and now apply Pure EVO version. Super happy with these products.
    If you are wondering why i am using bug remover for hood and roof, it is because it is very handy product for all kind of fallout which is coming from trees. Aphid waste for example.

    Mohs Evo s a great coating. It won't harden up as it is not a traditional silica coating. The Evo formula is a huge upgrade to the previous version. I always mention this to others who have watched my videos and that is don't use Skin if wanting to retain slickness.
    You are spot on with the water behavior of 3D as it being un-impressive. I have mentioned this directly to Mike Phillips now that he is with 3D. I disliked its performance using it on my personal car and had to mask it with a topper. I will be removing it. By the way the price of this coating sky rocketed from when I initially purchased it here in the states.
    With P&S Inspiration, they recommend 2 layers with their coatings for it to perform close to other coatings. And form my experience using it, it definitely needs that second layer as the results are similar to the panel with onlater. It is also an older coating. P&S Legend is a much better coating. I also believe you received an older kit as they changed their applicators to Autofiber coating savers.
    Crazy how much these coatings cost in your area.

    Well, I had quite a struggle with Gyeon Mohs Evo, but that's because I had to work inside a hot and humid garage (no air conditioning). I think it was around 82F and humid. It flashed almost immediately and quickly became sticky and hard to remove. I had to do a small door in probably about 6 sections and even that was not pleasant. I have to think the problem was the humidity/heat but definitely seems to flash fast. Other than that, seems fairly nice and so far feels slick to the touch.

    PS- Look for a glass cleaner called Hope’s Perfect Glass. It has completely replaced my IPA, and is amazing for the money.

      Thanks mate and I look forward to the pics. I just had a quick look at Hope’s glass cleaner and it’s astronomical in price - $80 -$100 1L at least to get it here locally so I think I’ll have to take your word for it 🙂

    How do these 3 coatings compare to CarPro Cquartz uk 3.0 for ease of application and durability?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still think UK3.0 is the overall easiest to apply, but Mohs is still quite user friendly, I’d also say both UK & Mohs will be the more durable ones based on my testing.

    Another great video, after all these years you’re still my favourite channel. I was not a fan of MOHs tbh, tried it a lot as I really wanted to like it, but the quick flash is a disaster even in mild heat, just couldn’t take to it, and I found skin even worse. Can I ask what coating you actually use the most?

    Hi Sandro, I dont gamble but Id be prepared to saying you didnt screw up & ultimately there was a clear winner that Im comfortable spending my hard earned on. I have a question I hope you can help me with. My next project is being wrapped next week & will land here soon after for coating. Ive applied quite a few coatings over the years (for a weekend warrior) with the last three being Pure topped with CanCoat of which I'm now very comfortable with & love the glow it gives. Is there a down side going with the same on a vinyl wrap ? Any words of wisdom you can share would be gratefully appreciated. Wishing you health & happiness.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve applied serval paint coatings over wraps and PPF and although there can be variations in how easy or slightly more difficult they are to apply, it’s always worked well. I guess the advantage of not going with a true ceramic coating is that if you wanted to remove it or had high spots or issues, you can remove it with chemicals rather than having to polish the wrap, that’s really the main thing you need to weigh up.

    Thanks Sandro. How do Gyeon Mohs EVO and Gyeon Pure EVO compare/contrast? Over-all which do you like better?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      While reviewing them separately it’s harder to make direct comparisons, but Pure seems to harden more, could potentially be more durable, not sure which looks better, but Mohs is easy to apply and slicker and again not sure about which is more hydrophobic. It’s hard without getting them on the same panel to make certain calls.

  • @pasqualepisani
    @pasqualepisani 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    it seems like P&S left less water on the panel because it sheeted water better where the Mohs was awesome for chemical resistance but always left some water beads on the panel. In real life, which coating is better which would resist micro marring and scratches from a machine car wash? or if I didn't dry the vehicle after a rain storm? which coating leaves the least amount of water spots if you don't towel dry your vehicle?

      Thanks and without doing a side by side comparison it’s hard to say which one looks definitively better but I really think they both look great.
      I’d tend to say Mohs is easier to apply just taking your time and working small sections around the car.
