How to Redeem a Nintendo eShop Gift Card Code on a Nintendo Switch (to Add Store Funds to Account)

- If you have a Nintendo eShop gift card code, this video will show you how the redemption process works so that you can add the funds to your balance. You can then use that money to buy digital games and other in game features in the store. The video shows how to navigate to the right spot from the Switch dashboard, and how to carefully type the code in and get it accepted. Then I show how to doublecheck that the funds are there.

I have a the same code but I have the physical card but I don’t have a peel off or scratch code and I can’t find my pin on my receipt or card I did not add my email so I can not find
Sometimes when I peel off the silver strip on the back of the gift card, some the code would get ripped off as well. It would get stuck to the bottom of the silver strip and I have no idea how to get it off.

The kind of card shown in the video is for currency to be used in the Nintendo e-shop. That is normally games themselves and expansions. Certain games will also sell "packs" of digital items, and Fall Guys does. If a game doesn't have things for sale in the e-shop, they would normally require you to buy directly from a website, like Fortnite.com, Roblox.com, and so forth, or some of those games have gift cards as well that you can purchase, and redeem them on those same sites. Bottom line, they make it easy for you to spend money.

Log into Nintendo account on phone & change region to USA. Then you can use USA gift cards.
What do you do if your code needs one of the grey shaded letters
I'd be very suspicious of any code that has shaded letters.

You can only use gift cards sold in whatever region your playstation account is registered in.

What if you need to use the great out letters
The greyed out characters are not included in any valid Nintendo eShop code. If you have things like exclamation marks in your code, check that you're looking in the right spot (not at the order confirmation number, for example). Otherwise, it may be a false code from a scammer. Only buy from official retailers!
