If you're looking at old Ghost, please check out one of my favourites, Monstrance Clock (from Infestissumam). Ghost closed every show with this for good reason, for years, till maybe 2017, and a few times after. It's slow, creepy but wonderfully hypnotic and gripping. Before I had assimilated the entirety of the Ghost catalog, my son (who introduced me to Ghost) exclaimed with excitement and passion how thrilled he was they played this song in concert, so I knew it was worth it to pay attention to this one. Hooooo boy, that opening is eye-watering is it not? Understand, this is the opening lyric of the first album Opus Eponymous. Yes, Papa performs this as call and response in concert. I've picked out two other songs from OE for Halloween: Stand By Him and Death Knell. Thanks for what you do, this was a treat to wake up to! 🔥🤘😜🔥
It bugs me to NO END that nobody seems to have even an inkling of knowledge enough to understand or figure out the correct translation to "con clavi". The word "conclave", which means "assembly, gathering" comes from the Roman Catholic practice of literally "locking up" the conclave of cardinals until they have elected a new pope. Because "con clavi" means "with bolt" or "with key". So in this sense the chorus of the song actually talks about being gathered together to elect a new (Anti-)Pope!

Yikes! That was so rude and I didn't mean it to be. This is your space, your channel, and I am but a humble guest and along for the ride. I love your format, that's why I'm here, so keep up the good work you do and don't mind this crazy Ghost fan. I will do better and be more careful in future. Yes . Ghost (Tobias) live do a lot of singing when he asks the crowd to sing instead of him in choruses and no you can’t hear it much in videos but live the crowd sing along to every thing !
