      Is there any way you can add a 2nd router, or do you have any network cabling at all close to where your computer is located? That may be an option I've seen done when all else fails if you just can't get a signal to reach or if there is no way to fish another cable through a ceiling or into a wall closer to the computer.

      @@FixMyBleep none without tearing stuff up and it's not my house. I ordered this to give a try. Should be here tomorrow. I'm really hoping it solves the issue I have. We already have two routers due to the amount of devices used on the network.

    my pc doesnt have a wifi card and is hardwired, will this still work?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, this device is made for a PC that is too far away to be plugged into a network cable, or that doesn't have a network jack nearby. You just plug in this USB (Wireless Adapter) and it will connect to your wireless router.
      If you are currently plugged into a network connection, you shouldn't need this however.

    Any idea how this compares to the AC1300 T3U Nano? The short version is better if you move your PC around because it won't get snapped off, but I'm thinking this version is bigger for a reason, probably better signal reception through floor/wall.

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've heard this has slightly better range, but I have not had the chance to test it against the other one. Typically the larger one means more antenna but that's not always the case.

    any problem or conflict with the wifi from the computer? the built in

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm running this on a desktop (large tower) computer in an office where there isn't any internet port or cables. Some cases where a system has a bad wifi card built-in, this would be a life saver. No issues as of yet. Not sure if that's any help with your question or not.

    Will this work on my console

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The manufacturer says this won't work with gaming consoles, but yet when I search reviews and what people have bought this are saying some say it does work so I can't give you a direct answer. Sorry. Look under: amzn.to/3zfjIja and then customer reviews, or do a search for consoles, and some people claim it's working.

    I wouldn't recommend this product personally. I didn't care about speed, I just wanted a stable wifi connection, and it couldn't even provide that. It started off working decently but after a few weeks it started dropping and disconnecting from the PC randomly. When it works it works great, but when it's being inconsistent it's the most frustrating thing imaginable.

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment, good to know. I wonder if the newer model is any better? I've been using it consistently since purchased, but have had to restart the router a couple of times since I've installed it, not sure if it was the internet provider, or the device but that seemed to help with any stability issues I've seen.

    Bit late to the party but does this adapter enable me to play and stream esport title games such as CSGO and Dota 2? Since im playing on top of my router at the 2nd floor of my house, and im scared the resistance might be heavy for this adapter

    • @FixMyBleep

      Hi there, for $20.00 it's worth a shot. I've been using the TP Link through 3 stud walls to the router without any issues, however I'm not sure how it will do through a actual floor. Thanks for the comment, let me know how it does if you move forward with it. 👍

    Great video! I recently purchased this and am using it with my PC. My laptop can get a download speed of 120mbs, however, my PC with this adapter can only reach 2.5mbs. Do you think that a part of my PC could be bottlenecking the speed?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a really good question, but from what I can tell this is a WiFi device for wireless connectivity from your PC to your wireless router... or a WiFi connection outside your home. For Smart TV streaming you may want to look at FIRE stick devices that plug into the HDMI port on the back of your TV. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, I haven't tried this.

    Ayo! I have a problum with AC1300 TPLINK USB, How can I enable 5GHz for gaming?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  ปีที่แล้ว

      Verify that your router/modem is "broadcasting" both a 2.4 and a 5 G signal. This adapter will pull that in & use one or the other. Also the TPLink prefers a 3.0 port to feed it.
      You may also try updating to the latest drivers in the download center at tp-link.com/en/download-center. Hopefully this info helps. 🖥

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @ulerbulu4062
      @ulerbulu4062 ปีที่แล้ว

      Data transmission over wifi is half-duplex. Data are sent and receive in sequential, not simultaneously like wired ethernet. And also 867 Mbps is PHY rate, actual transfer speed is only about 50 percent (433 Mbps).

    How many mbps do you have on your plan?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good point, we have a 1GB plan at the home, so this TP Link can max itself out without ever reaching the full limit of what we have available. Running a speed test with a LAN cable it doesn't quite work out to a full Gig anyway, and upload speed is good but not ever "as advertised" it seems. Thanks for the comment!

      You will need a Windows 7 or newer box, you can run this on a desktop or laptop if you don't have a LAN connection nearby, and will need an open USB port to plug it into. Some really old computers may not be compatible.
