I agree about the rotation minutes. Had me cracking up; it’s so obvious, why didn’t we do it against Bulls and Nets?!? Two very winnable games we might regret dropping later. I love seeing them play to Edey’s strengths. Yes, he needs to diversify his skillset and adapt to the NBA but if he can add value now, why wouldn’t you tap that immediately? Screens and rebounds now, his jump hook will come back to cheat-code status after he adjusts, and spacing and angles will improve just by getting reps.
Not worried about Eddy’s lack of rebounds. A lot of times, he’s walling defenders off so that a teammate can get the rebound & start the fast break; Doesn’t really matter who gets it as long as it’s a Grizzly.
the problem with him building up trade value is the grizzlies have now undercut his trade value because any team trading for him wouldnt be able to pay him more than that declined 4th year option
@ I understand. The salary is still usable and reality is only one team in the league has salary cap space so the expiring deal may be attractive to someone
It’s real simple, you play your studs until you have to: 1) give them a very needed breather. Basically they are spent. 2) you have a good lead and you can afford to have them sit. Turns out, not sitting your stars constantly, benefits game outlook.
Everything you said about Jake is correct, but maybe they have a deadline deal ready to go for his expiring contract. The Nets, maybe? Luke is gone. Cam will get his spot. Plus whoever they draft.
Ja is the epitome of creativity and athleticsim. Unfortunately, this out-of-worldly level of skill seems to come with a high price: total instability. What happened to him off-court last season (and perhaps before) hasn't helped him either when it comes to playing in control and with a clear head for the duration of a full season let alone post-season, which translates into this Grizz team would probably find it hard to even come close to championship.
Can we stop it with the Jake Laravia crap. He’s slaw players have passed him up on the depth chart who cares if they didn’t pick up his option they finally admitting that he’s not a guy they want on this team going forward. We have enough young guys on the roster. On a fully healthy roster he’s the 13th man get his ass outta here.
it's all about asset management. If you had a car you didn't want anymore you wouldnt throw it away, you'd sell it for what you could get. declining his option basically means you probably can't keep him OR trade him for anything Also he's 2nd on the team in minutes i don't think as many players have passed him on the depth chart as you think
I was the biggest jake hater trust me, however since the all star break last year he has massively improved. He's a good rebounder, he hustles and plays decent defense, inside and out. He also can exist on the offense. Still not needed here but a team will want him and he may be a good rotation player one day

i agree with you in theory, except the stats say that isn't happening, they aren't rebounding well as a team with him on the court
Build up that trade value Jake 👏

Too many front court players for 2 positions. Jake can't shoot the 3. That reduces his value for exercising his option at $5M.
@ Jake the 6’8 Konchar
Still on the fence about Jenkins
Points in the paint reminding me of that 22 season 🙏🏻. Love seeing Jaylen wells get the start he looks like a Hooper!

Ja/Edey PnR should boost Edey's confidence. Maybe his hook shots start to fall as well.

Brandon Clarke been doing all the right things not to get traded now

The Damion Lillard trade has not worked out at all for tne Bucks
Notice that the Grizz went back to there ( everybody’s) offense
Defending Jake is new lows
What do you mean. Jake was great against the bucks and sure his shooting is streaky but he's a hustler.

Ja is on an MVP run clear as day
