Thats pretty cool how on top of Cam Johnson you were! Dudes a good fit. With him and Wells it would be a dominate rotation. Id like to keep LaRavia for his on ball and energy. But I was thinking the same about Konchar's contract. Here is the trade that would work Grizzlies get Cam Johnson and Dar'Ron Sharpe (26.5 million in and 26.3 out) Lakers get Smart, Konchar (who they were rumored to want last year) and Cam Thomas (no extension but RFA) (30 million in and 33 million out) Nets get D'Angelo Russell (expiring contract), Jalen Hood-schifino ( no extension, expiring contract) and Gabe Vincent. (33 million in and 30.5 million out) Nets also receive Lakers '29 first......And nets stay under the apron.

Just got into the luxury tax omg. Not a lot of championship teams win without going in the luxury tax. Also because of how deep the team is they will always do good in the regular season but fail in the post season when all teams cht minutes and only play their best 8 guys. It will be a continuous cycle of finishing 2nd or 3rd in the west ans losing in the first and 2nd round if lucky. Compile the picks that will end up being the 26th-30th pick in the first round and bench players that are good but won't get minutes in the playoffs and 1 good player you can actually use in the playoffs.

Johnson is a pipe dream. Luke and Jake are expiring. Throw in Jitty's contract and a couple firsts. Not sure if this would keep it under the cap. Otherwise its a toss-up between keeping awesome depth and getting something for Luke and Jake.

With pic and roll offense should guard in front court the other teams playing half court defense on grizz ain’t as well conditioned or deep enough to beat them you play it all like a transition play even when they come full court . The Grizz are currently over 4 mil under the tax so they could trade Smart for Cam straight up and still be below the tax. As long as they don't make any other moves.

Grizzlies should stand up by standing down to stand on business with what they already have, but only to go harder in the playoffs , with loyalty and accountability balanced for years to come

Nets not trading a good player under contract for a bunch of bench guys. They want good young talent and picks

Cam for Smart and Santi. Kennard, Konchar, LaRavia should all be trade candidates. Sweeten the deal with a pick or 2. The Grizz are absolutely better with that move by adding a proven vet.

After the Boston & Washington wins, it's time to go all in to add quality playoff depth. Have enough young players (Wells, Santi, Edey, GG, Vince) so they can discard some picks. Cam & Shröeder for some 3 player combo of Smart, Kennard/Konchar/LaRavia & a couple picks. That'd be an instant title contender!

Only thing I don’t like about Jake laravia’s game now is that almost every time he gets into the paint he turns it over. It’s been a running gag for awhile now

Smart is not a bench player and does not play well coming off the bench. Smart and Edey should be in the starting lineup with Morant, Bane and Jaren Jackson.

At this point I can't see a lateral move being beneficial, Luke/Jake for DFS/Sharpe or any lesser type swaps. I think it's time to pay the tax.

Edey will be reevaluated in six to eight weeks. He missed most preseason will ankle injuries. It might be wise to sign a big in preparation for the postseason run.

They missed foul on kyrie on the rebound near the end. He just pushed kyrie and no call. And ja was awarded ft when he wasn't even touched in replay. Mavs don't usually turn over the ball. And kyrie played horrible.

Marcus Smart was playing terribly all game. But 14 - 44 free throw attempts is ridiculous. And giving them 26 FTA in one quarter at the end, which is the entire reason they won the game, is beyond insane from the refs.

Mavs fan here. This game raised my BP so much because of the horrible officiating. The Grizzlies were playing physical all game long. There’s like 3 or 4 Kyrie drives alone that should have been called fouls. They pushed off rebounders and those weren’t getting called. The problem is they were also calling ticky tack fouls. Then it switched in the 4th quarter and they tightened the officiating and the Grizzlies did not adjust. That drive by JJJ was a missed foul in clutch time… but so was the push off by Bayne on Kyrie.

With Smart not starting the Grizzlies don't have an All Pro Defensive leader on the court !

You left out the main reason The Grizzlies lost Taylor Jenkins was Out coached!

Wells,Laravia,Pipen, Clarke and Aldama are not starters. Smart stated he's never played coming off the bench! Did Jenkins have another Brain Fart? Wakeup look at the player rotations by NBA Playoff contenders,they play starters more minutes and rotate them one at a time and get them back in the game in less than 5 minutes!

When Taylor Jenkins doesn't start and play the best players in the game Morant, Baine,Jackson,Edey and Smart then he's not trying to win or Jenkins is not qualified to coach this kind of NBA talent!

Its not luck that the mavs hit 5/7 3s and we hit basically nothing. All the grizzlies looked like they were losing the entire 4th and the mavs were rolling and looked like the game was in the bag. It's the same feeling watching the lakers go up against that sebian wall. Its like they already think they're gonna lose. The discipline just isn't there yet

I think it’s also fair to acknowledge that of the 0-4 games against above .500 win (healthy) teams in the west the grizzlies were missing at least one of the core 3 (Ja, Jaren, Desmond) in all but 1 (the mavs game)
