I’m really hoping they have a sunscreen this year! Last year I bought 14 tubes of the sun basics spf, which Dr Dray did an ingredient check on 👍, absolutely loved it but haven’t seen it yet & there’s only 3-4 tubes left. I only buy 12 months ahead for skincare (stored cool/dry, and I live in an arid climate) so I hope I don’t have to find a new face & body formula ! Esp at even budget drugstore prices, after paying $1.25 for 3 oz…
I must say, that original Olay Sensitive Skin SPF 30 is an amazing and reliable product. No burning ever, no reddening ever, good moisturization whatever the season. And always affordable. It's the one I always have around, regardless of others I may try.
The new olay complete is so good. I’ve been using the lotion in a pump bottle on my face either on its own or over a serum. Fragrance free, niacinamide and rice bran extract
I have to let you know that DT has a dupe for the Vaseline balm stick same size too in fragrance free regular one and a cocoa butter one! I can’t say if they are still in your store but I got the regular fragrance free one and it’s nice not greasy but feels moisturizing on the skin 😊😊
Thank you! Love this videos !!!! Going to the store is so stressful with all the amount of new products that has the same ingredients and promise to do miracles! We are customers and our money and time worth it! Thank you for your help here!
Thanks, Dr Dray, for showing us some of the new skin care options and your thoughts on them. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fantastic weekend! 💞
Thanks for the good info! I'd love to see a video about the generic Walgreens and CVS brand sunscreens and how well they work. I'm nervous to try a generic over a name brand and would appreciate your insight on this.
The DEWY Nivea lip balm with hyaluronic acid is very soothing and moisturizing. I havent noticed a heavy fragrance or anything irritating at all. Wal Mart sells it for $2.72.A steal.😊❤
Dr. Dray, can you make a video on how to help hyperpigmentation with extremely dry, flaky skin (I use the cerave cream as my moisturizer and still flaky) 😢😢 thank you for all that you do, we appreciate you!!!
Years ago I used the pinkbottle don't remember what it was it was 6 years ago but I recall it working well on unclogging pores.the tint gets on your white clothes unlike cerves.
Hope you get better. HS is so frustrating. I hope you get the best and most appropriate treatment. Some newer meds like humira seem nice for really difficult to deal with cases.
So easy to load up your credit card when you go shopping. Listing what I really need keep me down to earth otherwise i'd buy everything from drugstores since I am a drugstore girl and not a Sephora girl.
The ROC moisturizer and sunscreen I like because it’s not in plastic tubes and it’s hard to find a non mineral sunscreen in an aluminum tube. Don’t sleep on the coppertone face 55 that’s clear because I love it, I don’t even feel it on my skin even though it’s hot out and humid. I do wish there was a better way for men to shave because I can’t handle it, it hurts leaves my skin raw red and rashy.
I’m really liking Ombrelle Ultra Light Advanced Lotion SPF 60 broad spectrum for the face. It’s a lightweight fluid and no shine, about $18/50ml in Canada.
I'm surprised you don't agree with the studies on arnica. I've used it a few times on injuries and aches and pains. The biggest thing i've noticed is definitely reduces bruising. I bashed into the railing on my staircase, and my hip has been sore for over a week. But I started applying my arnica, cream immediately and I never bruised. And with the level of pain I guarantee I would have had I not used the cream. But I guess that's why anecdotal evidence is just that.
I agree with you CVS, Walgreens and Target are a lot more expensive than Walmart and H‑E‑B. And several times a year H‑E‑B has 25% off a lot of makeup, skincare, and hair products, it is the time to stock up ❤
In the sixties, there was an acne cleasing system called Ten-O-Six that worked extremely well. I don't know if the 10-0-6 you looked at is the same company.
Happy Friday! Could you please discuss epidermoid cysts? There seems to be a surplus of confusing information conflating them with sebaceous cysts. Thanks, as always, for your educational and entertaining content!
1006 has been around forever, I used to use that when I was in high school forty something something years ago. They had this brown colored toner that was supposed to help with acne but didn’t really do too much as I recall.
Love your comments oily doesn't equal moisturized. As a dry skin person with texture I really want to a moisturizing SPF or even lotion that isn't shiny. Would love any recommendations!
My favorite after sun treatment for when those sunburns happen despite all efforts is a product called Sunburnt. I could only find it at Walgreens last year.
I saw that Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50 (chemical), but without Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Dyes, and Paba was rated #1 by Consumer Report. It is water resistant 80 minutes, and broad spectrum. I didn't read this on Consumer Report, but someone reported it and they're correct I believe. Now, I wanted a face and body sunscreen and this fit my needs, except it does have fragrance (baby powder and baby lotion smell that fades with time) and my two concerns were would it sting my eyes and would it break my face out? So far, neither. It is $9 and change for 8 fl oz.
I too use the Coppetone Water Babies SPF 50 on my body and love it. I'd rather have a slight baby powder smell than the coconut one my husband uses. My go to facial sunscreen is the one by Tader Joe's . A clear gel-like consistency, invisible and it also makes a great primer for make up. Doesn't sting me and doesn't make me break out. Living in the desert Southwest sunscreen is a must for me every day of the year. I pay about $10 for the Coppertone one and about $11 for the Trader Joe's. Can't see paying for more expensive ones when these two do the job.
you mentioned the products 1006. When I was in high school in the 60s Bonnie Bell made a 1006 lotion. It was an astringent and it was fairly harsh. They also made some other products that ring a bell with me when you mentioned the names of the ones you were seeing on the shelf. I wonder if they manufactured by the same company?
I use a 10% benzoyl peroxide soap from PanOxyl for my body & a Differin 2% Salicylic Acid Body Scrub it does wonders for the skin on my body just amazing Regular soap is just a no-go for me especially if your acne prone on the body regular soap just doesn’t cut it
In Canada there is a new Neutrogena Mineral Invisible Daily Defense spf 30 tinted face liquid, there is literally not even one youtube review on it, I am curious to hear your opinion about if you were to find it
I have the Formula 10.0.6 Total Lockdown Spot Defending Moisturiser" in my "skincare wardrobe". I love using it. It is fragranced, but I really enjoy the pleasant scent. It contains hemp, salicylic acid, zinc and dimethicone Great for teenagers or anyone with oily skin and/or is prone to acne. The hemp soothes angry flare-ups. As Dr Dray says, even with acne/oily skin the skin needs moisture to remain supple and help to protect the skin barrier. A tight skin surface prevents the pores from remaining /being clear. This product does not have a greasy/ shiny look or feel. It is not expensive either. So I recommend it, unless you don't want to use anything fragranced 👱🏻♀️♥️
To offset the shine of sunscreen, in addition to using a sunscreen with a less shiny velvety finish {COTZ Face Prime and Protect [tinted and non-tinted (zinc oxide and titanium oxide)]}, I start with a base of E.L.F. Matte Putty Primer in Universal Sheer to oily areas (T-zone) and E.L.F. Luminous Putty Primer in Universal Glow to areas of the face that are drier (eyes, cheeks, around lips). After the COTZ sunscreen sets up on the skin, I powder the skin with baby powder and Dermablend Loose Setting Powder. These steps help to absorb the shine of sunscreen and the oil that skin naturally produces during the day. For summer, when a bit of shiny glow is more welcome, I’ve added two new sunscreens to layer: Isdin Photo Eryfotona Ageless (tinted) and Isdin Eryfotona Actinica (non-tinted). The Isdin are lovely on their own for quick trips out, when one doesn’t require the staying power to last for a twelve hour shift indoors 🫠 where sun exposure is during travel to and from work. Take care and here’s to our health and safety 😊
Can you make video reviewing some of the ROC retinols? Pretty please. Especially some good neck and chest options. I have been using the eye retinol from Costco and LOVE IT. I use tretinoin on my face, but it took a full year to work up to daily use.
I was thinking of getting the olay complete sp30 for my kids and myself om sale right now because its an older product . It says its for sensitive skin but i struggle to fine one the kids dont hate. Plus its not water resistant is it ? the best dupe of paylas choice 2 per cent bha liq. Exfoliant IS St. Ives 2 percent salicilic acid toner! Its better than paulas choice
I have tried the new line from Eucerin with Hyaluronic acid. I really do like it as a product, but the smell, to me, is obnoxious. Thankfully, it goes away quickly.
I follow you because I admire your dedication and how you check on everything regarding the products you discuss. I have been seeing a lot on Dr. Melaxin products. They have an eye and neck product that I've been seeing a lot of ads for. Apparently, the eye care continues to work on the fatty tissue underneath the eye the more you use it. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks in advance1
I remember using the "astringent" in in the 80's. It was heavily fragranced, a kind of amber colour (to look medicinal). It just stung my skin, made it tight and didn't do anything for my pimples. 😄 👱🏻♀️♥️

The Olay spf 30 for sensitive skin has been a staple in my skincare routine. I hope Olay doesn’t try to mess with that particular product!
