Darrin Great Video as usual. Thanks again for the education it has helped not only me but others I have come across that needed help. Your work is always spot on and precise. Very clean and well executed. This is the first time I have seen something that I would change about your procedure. Never pour fuel from the old filter into the new filter. Your chances of dislodging continence from the old and putting it into the new is increased. Always use fresh fuel to fill the new filter. Just my opinion and a pet peeve of mine. I'm from over yonder in MS. Just down the road a peice in the holler. I like how you painch them hoses righchair. I need tah git me summa them thare painchers. I use tah werk on them deesal generators n such. Turned many a rainches in my time. Tryna get lernt on these here RV machines. Some folks calls em heatin systems I calls em machines mmmhm.

Thanks to you and your video, I was able to complete the 3 year service on my own. My setup was identical to the video. No unexpected problems. Thank you so much for your video. My only cost was parts and the brake cleaner.

Very similar to household #2oil heat . Same basic tune up parts. Your skill and technique are right on . I’ve been a oil burner tech for over 25 year. And yes always run unit before you touch that was one of the first lessons we learned in burner school. Boston , Mass.

Yep experienced that.
Replace a heating element and the customer says leveling jacks won't work... Tried blaming it back on the company. Well found the positive wire for the jacks weren't even connected after the CUSTOMER replaced the batteries... Did they apologize? Absolutely not.

I just have issue with filling a brand new fuel filter with the crappy fuel from the old fuel filter. I'd be afraid of particulate contaminating the new filter immediately.... Excellent video, excellent instructions but that one thing just raised the hair on the back of my neck. I've learned to pay attention the those hairs.

5 year kit also has a new burner nozzle. Sharpie works to write date and hours on filter, easier to do it before installing.

Darrin, I can't believe its been over 2 years since I review your video. I'm reviewing it again and learned a bit about troubleshooting my CH50M for a flameout situation. It makes me feel a bit better knowing the flame sensor should be changed after 3 years, I have a 2014 as mentioned in the previous comment I posted. I'm believing the original flame sensor has been in my CH50 for all this 7-8 years. Now when I go to buy the rebuild kit, I won't feel so bad about the cost being so high, I believe the flame sensor alone is about $140 so I'll see how that solves my problem with a flameout situation. Hopefully it resolves my issue. The RV isn't used full time nor at extremes so I'm assuming the sensor has fulfilled its life span... Any comments or experience troubleshooting the actual method to determine a bad flame sensor P/N 20106 would be appreciated if you know. Again, thanks for your videos, they are very helpful and clear and concise.

2014 Newmar Mountain Aire owner.
Another topic that may be of interest about the Oasis system that I’ve experienced is the transfer fluid that circulated to various (3) loops of heat that is generated by the box you just serviced. 2 hydronic heat loops to heat exchangers and the other for hot water. The pumps in the distribution box are very expensive and do fail. I’ve also learned a check valve may stick and not allow the transfer fluid to flow and provide the heat to various heat exchangers.

Darrin, enjoyed the video. I have heard (from itr) that the ph of the boiler fluid should be checked annually and replaced every 7 years. Are you familiar with this recommendation?

Might as well leave old filter on when you pour the filter out of old filter in new one I have dumped old filter out and get water and dirt out of it . That is not a good idea .
My water is scalding hot how do I lower the temp

Hey Darrin, Love this channel and I am new to it. You are very knowledgeable which is helpful for us new RV folks. Ive decided to do most of the maintenance my self after finding out where I bought mine charges $450 for winterizing it. My question is, they gave me an extra gal of glycol when I purchased my 2019 Newmar ventana, which I’m assuming means I will be adding to the oasis from time to time, where do you fill it?
I too have a Ventana and the glycol reservoir on mine is located behind the back most basement door on the passenger side.

NEVER pour fuel from an old filter into a new filter. All the sediment and water in the old filter you will have just poured into the new filter.
You should NEVER pour fuel from old filter into the new one!! If you do that why bother putting on a new filter?
