I love the fact that the final scores are always close, no matter what "Strategy" you go with. Some cities have NO parks but go heavy on Offices and Taverns, while others have tons of separated parks and houses. It's ALWAYS competitive. Love it!

I too was disappointed by the artwork on the tiles when I opened the box. It feels like this game has the potential to be a good gateway game, but exciting artwork is crucial for a gateway game. Feels more of a shame when you look over the fence at the gorgeous artwork in Stonemaier's Scythe.

This seems like a good family game. I could bring this to the table with my girlfriend and her 8 year old son without any problems. This is going on the list. Thanks Tom

Isn't the rule that you choose two ties but wait until everyone reveals to determine which of the two tiles goes to which of your two cities?

I really like Among the Stars, but you can't play it with 7 players. This game, while not a classic or anything, fits the niche of a short, fun, social game for lots of players. Usually you have to play a party game, something like Cash and Guns, to make that work. It's nice to have an actual board game that fills that role well.

I loved the idea of this game, but the only thing that stopped me getting on the kickstarter was the art work. It just looks a little too dull and plain - maybe too close up to the buildings so there is a lot of roof on each tile vs surrounding grass/land.

I bought this game at Essen und there you got another stack of punchboards with an additional set of tiles, but with alternative art. They style isn't completely different, but the tiles looking a bit more colorful and friendly. I prefer those to the normal ones.
B2C is a cool game if you want a quick game with a larger group of people. Easy rules are quick explaned, even for non-gamers.

+MisterL1979 The European version (from Morning Players) was supposed to come with that different artwork, but the ship sending copies to Essen was delayed. Thus you were lucky because you get the US version of the tiles (that were in the box) *plus* the European version. On BGG you can see the two side by side for comparison.

I really enjoy this, despite not expecting to. Its' fast and easy to teach making it a great gateway game.
On the 'vs AtS' thing, I think it would depend on the situation as they feel fairly different. If we're looking to fill 90 minutes then sure could do AtS (I mean, strictly it can be 60 minutes, but rarely in practise). This is 25 minutes which is great.
I think Between Two Cities has a lot of potential with expansions too, as I believe a speculation in the kickstarter was perhaps doing 2 rounds in a row and building atop the old one, which would be awesome =-)

+Chris Smith I might be biased towards B2C because I helped play test it, but I like its simplicity and speed (and size of players) over Among the Stars. AtS is good, for sure, but it feels like a much slower game, as you have to read all the card text to work out which card to choose.
They're probably both good games to have - B2C as a quick filler and to teach to newbies, and AtS for something with deeper tactics.

I loved this game. I didn't even think the art was bad.

Fun drafting/set collection game. I introduced to my 70-year-old parents and they immediately were engaged. The cooperative aspect is a real strength for those who want to interact. There are relatively few decisions to make so its not a mind-bender either. Simple, interactive, fun, with some strategy. Pick up a copy.

I was kinda disappointed by this one. I can't really imagine ever wanting to play this over Among the Stars, unless I really, really wanted something a hair shorter that's easier.

+TheGreatHamEl I can't ever imagine wanting to play AtS again. B2C, on the other hand, I liked ^^

Vegard Eliassen Stillerud Knock yourself out. Too light for me.

+TheGreatHamEl Different tastes I guess, but I find AtS being the lighter one and would argue the same ;P

Vegard Eliassen Stillerud Among the Stars has way too much card text. Not to say it is a heavy game by any means, but objectively, I just don't see how anybody can say it is lighter than BTC when there is really very little to keep track of or consider in the latter. You can certainly prefer one over the other; that's fine.

Yeah very drab looking art, but it's more than that. It would have been ok with photos of European city districts, or bird's eye layouts, but this art makes me think of 1990's 3D computer models of buildings and it gives me a headache to look at it.

Agree on the art, the box looks very nice, the tiles are rubbish. The game is a bit of a yawn fest

The horrid art is what kept me from kickstarting it, and its what will keep me from buying it.

Ahem, counting point is tough and difficult. So if you are not good at math, don't play it.
