Bad proviene dalla registrazione live tenuta al National Exhibition Centre di Birmingham in Inghilterra il 12 novembre, 1984, durante l'Unforgettable Fire Tour.
A Sort of Homecoming è tratta dell'esibizione live alla Wembley Arena a Londra, il 15 novembre 1984. La canzone è prodotta da Tony Visconti e registrata durante il soundcheck del concerto.
The Three Sunrises fu prodotta dalla band insieme a Brian Eno e Daniel Lanois. È stata inserita tra le the B-sides della versione ad edizione limitata della compilation The Best of 1980-1990 uscita nel 1998.
Love Comes Tumbling prodotta dalla band ed anch'essa, come la precedente traccia, presente nel Best del 1990. - เพลง

@@Horizon344 I can’t remember why., but when it was released it was a limited edition, and could only be bought in the uk and I think Australia if memory serves me right. If you google it up it might explain better, but eventually came out world wide.
I am a 50 year old man on my death bed. I remember seeing u2 in Austin in 1987 for Joshua tree and zoo TV in El Paso in 1992. Incredible experiences. When I go I wanna hear one tree hill. Thank you u2.

I hit rock bottom in 1988... I had this album go with me, I got right. With God, my parents my spouse, my kids, my work, my friends, myself... strong music will make you stronger or fold. This band/music brought me back from the darkest times in my life, I had no idea how much I love to hear music I once heard trying to sober up.. its 2021 now, still here. Still going, still alive. Its an awesome feeling knowing how bad it was an how greater is now.... bless you all still trying, hats off to those on personal issues like the drink overcoming alcoholism we decided a long time ago that was gonna be our crutch and maintained human life... walk well. Great story- there are probably hundreds if not thousands of very similar stories. This disc in particular helped me so very much when i was 18, 19 , 20 yr old

We are U2ers since 1985
I had this on cassette back in the day. And I still have that old cassette. One of the best live recordings of "Bad" you will ever hear. When Bono goes into "this desperation, condemnation, revelation, in temptation, isolation, desolation, isolation" it is simply incredible. Plus, the obscure "Three Sunrises" and "Love Comes Tumbling" are absolute gems.

Love Comes Tumbling on this cassette remains one of my all-time CLASSICS....there can be no other that surpasses this song.

After war and Sunday bloody Sunday.. this was what really settled the argument for me (back then)! U2 was and is the best band ever! U2 is the soundtrack to my life, since the early 80's!
I remember in early 87 receiving this on vinyl as I moved to London as a 17 year old. I found an old record player with no speakers in the house I was renting. It had a tape deck so I chanced my arm and pressed record on a blank tape whilst letting the record play and lo and behold... It worked. I listened to the tape for hours on end and became a big u2 fan. Great memories... Thanks for posting.

I discovered U2 when i was a teenager. I have had the honor to se them live 4 times. Twice with my kids:). Amazing band and what they create!! Behind the scenes they do a lot of good for humanity. I am always attracted to bands that are deeper than just being a rock star. There are a lot of bands and music that I love but U2 will always be the one band that is on top!! There music got me through a lot growing up. I’m sure most people will agree being a teenager is very awkward and difficult!! It can be some of the best times in your life but it can also be some of the most difficult!! I can always bury myself with there music and get through tough times:). ❤U2

Me too, it was my favorite band during my teenage time.. Amazing sound, passionated lyrics and deep feelings from when we were young and innocent...
I wore out the cassette in the summer of 85 on a trip from LA to Seattle - it was some of their best work jammed into a half hour tape!

When this EP came out a friend had it. We played it non stop on his 80’s HiFi separates.
It has never left me and now in 2021 I’ve sought it out again. The production on the live tracks is so clear. Magical.
It is a wonderful EP.

I first heard U2 in 1981 - been a fan ever since. Musically distinctive and always spiritual in temperament-
Great EP; it's almost like you can feel them transitioning into their 'Joshua Tree'-era selves.
WAS my favourite version of BAD, until I watched them tear it up live on MTV for Live Aid.
When WAIA was released I absolutely blared Bad many times. Bad was show stopper that tour, blew me away.

I felt the spirit of heroin about me when l was in the fulbourn hospital shop in 1988 , while recovering from my third and most severe breakdown. St Michael.
I had this on cassette back in the day. Actually, I still have that old cassette. One of the best live recordings of "Bad" you will ever hear ... the addition of "in temptation, isolation, condemnation, desolation, etc. is simply incredible. Plus the obscure "Three Sunrises" and "Love comes tumbling" are absolute gems.

I agree with you. I've always thought those 2 songs were hidden gems too. The three sunrises got a little bit of airplay but I don't think Loves comes Tumbling did. Wire is another U2 hidden gem off of the Unforgettable fire album

The ep Wide Awake in America is one part of The Unforgettable Fire tour and another is studio with 2 b-sides that appears in "The Unforgettable Fire" single:
-"The Three Sunrises" and "Love Comes Tumbling".
When they played at live Aid,they were thinking to record the next album.That next album would call The Joshua Tree and it would be best.

The very first CD that I ever bought. What a revelation compared to cassettes and records back in the eighties.
Always loved there shows, seen them 7 times in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Arnhem and Munich. This album is great ❤

I saw Macphisto enter Bono ( kind of ) at the Milton keynes bowl gig in ( 1985.?) I was there with a friend. I left half way through their set. ( u2.) I felt really unwell , after queing up for an hour to buy a program , and having to listen to half a dozen bands before U2 came on. ( billy brag was funny. Flying coke bottles. Ha ha.)
