    The minute I fracture my ankle and came out of surgery I googled Steph curry ankle brace and these haven’t let me down. Been using for about 3 years and I have turn my non injured ankle but it has been a lifesaver on my injure one. I had a pretty bad landing on it and it restricted the fall very well had pain for about two days and nothing happened. Great buy🙏🏼

    I had the A2-DX since 2018, and they are excellent for coming back from an ankle sprain. They're comfortable, and the cross straps on them provided great support throughout. They fit nicely in basketball shoes without the heel slippage as well. Great product to be recommending.

    I have a pair of these braces and they are the best you can buy. My only complaint would be is that it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to put on & I had watch an instructional video for them.

    Great video! Now I know exactly where to go if an ankle sprain is in my volleyball playing child's future. I hope it doesn't happen, but it's great to get some expert advice in advance and also to get a little more insight on what sorts of demands volleyball players put on their feet and their shoes.

    Thanks so much for these videos, they're so informative and helpful! I have started getting really serious about pickleball training / playing more often throughout the week and haven't rolled anything / had an incident, but started experiencing some light right ankle pain (like in the front left of the right ankle). I realize from your sudden pain post exercise vid that it's likely due to increased stress on the bones and I need to take stretching and recovery more seriously (new to being +30 years old I guess). The thing is I have naturally super flat arches, with a generally straight foot (no C curve). Given what you said about arch pain being helped with the A2's over the A1's, but also the fact that I haven't actually sprained anything, I'm a little lost about which one to spring for. Any tips for a poor grad student with a limited budget?

    I grew up wearing laced braces late 90s-mid 2000s. Got back on court, and tweaked my plantar and ankle; not at the same time, but in that order over a period of time. Ended up purchasing the Zamst A2-DX and it felt weird and "bionic like" at first. After a few runs, I did realize my left foot heel would move around more than my right. But, I think that's from me having a unaligned hip. but, for the most part, expensive BUT worth it. SIDE NOTE: The code didn't work from the A2 DX video and I almost bought the same brace from TEMU, lol

    Thanks for this latest helpful video about the A1. I wear this brace and it's great. My 12 year old son needs a cross strap ankle brace for sports. He wears size 6 which shows on the sizing chart as a small, but it says for adults. Would this brace be appropriate for him or would it likely not fit right because he's a kid? Thanks for any feedback you can offer

    Should you put the ankle braces in the washer or clean them by hand?

    • @FootDoctorZach
      @FootDoctorZach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You can put them in the washing machine - I just went and looked at the box insert and there’s some instructions like don’t put with light cloths and how they’re supposed to be dried but it seems pretty straightforward- I washed them in the machine and didn’t pay attention to the instructions and I was fine but for best use for sure follow their instructions

    When should you stop wearing a brace once you’ve made a full recovery from a medium sprain? Does wearing it when you don’t need to hamper natural support and muscle development?

    I have worked with zamst products for years. The A2 and Filmista have been my go to for patient rehab. I find aso types arent that great from a functional rehab perspective as they allow minimal plantar flexion. When rehabing ballers i personally find figure 8 types diminish both somatsensory and propriceptive feed back. Step through A2 and A1 braces are great for Deltoid, tib post, Aitfl injuries etc

    • @FootDoctorZach

    Hey Zach thanks for the video, it really opened my eyes up since I've been using the laced ankle brace when I play basketball.
    I have torn both ankle ligaments playing sports and I have one less stable ankle than the other one.
    Would you recommend A2-DX instead of A1 for the less stable one or would it be fine to just put A1 for both sides?

    The Lace-Up ankle braces aren’t meant to be tied extremely tight.
    You tie it to secure around the foot.
    The crossover straps is what keeps the ankle stable ,
    so if you strap the one that ends on the lateral side a lil snug and the one that ends on the medial side tight .
    Coming from someone who had a fractured ankle and wear the GT Jump2 with lace up braces without a second thought of ankle stability, their the best .

    I have the A2 but I found that it limits my mobility and can be too tight on some shoes where the heel can pop out even if the laces are tight. The A2 feels too strong that the ankles are too protected in an unnatural way. Would you prefer the A1 over A2 for the mobility and flexibility, but still provide protection as well as the compatibility of shoe fits?

    • @FootDoctorZach
      @FootDoctorZach  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah for more fluid motion the A1 is honestly a lot better IMO even though a lot of players prefer the A2-DX because of the struts I feel like the A1 has a nicer mix-hence why I chose them for myself over the A2-DX

    Hi, I bought A1 two weeks ago and find the fit really comfortable with a great support, even comparing to A2-DX that I was using for few years already. My question is, while using zamst braces like these, are there any specific contraindications on pairing those with mid shoes like NB TWO WXY v4, FF v2 or Extply 8 which I'm considering buying to accommodate wide feet with tailor bunions? Appreciate the feedback with cheers from Poland.
