No you don’t have to be the biological father to take care of a child but you should be. There may come a time when you have a biological child of your own and that child deserves to have it all and shouldn’t have to share the resources that you as a man have acquired with the child of another man and that was birthed by a woman that’s not your mother. Men should stop taking care of children that are not biologically theirs, it is unfair to your children and teaches irresponsible women that they can continue to have babies by men that do not stick around.

I say he should've gotten the credit he deserves for stepping up regardless of his doubts. It's hard taking care of one baby let alone 2 at a time and alone. 👏 Applause to you Dad!! 💯
I hope the girls can realize what he did for them, even with him thinking he wasn’t their dad. When their mom passed, they could’ve ended up in foster care or worse, if he hadn’t been there. I don't think that they fully understand that being a single parent is hard. Being a single parent to twins is even harder. Being a single parent to twins who lost their mom and are grieving and probably angry is even harder than that and mistakes are going to happen. Am I saying that Mr. Eggleston is perfect? No, there is no such thing as a perfect parent but it's obvious that he loves them and I don't think the girls gave him a fair and fighting chance
I agree with what you said. Wouldn’t it be something if the twins had twins and become single parents with no help. Then they will realize how hard it is to be a single parent when you have to buy two of everything and that’s not including rent, utilities, car payment, phone bill, car insurance, food and anything else that’s needed.

"Be quiet and stop making mistakes". The audacity to tell that to a man who raised you despite him truly believing you weren't even his child. They basically told him to stop being human. Entitled spoiled brats they are.
People have been through worse and they still appreciate and respect their parents. It wasn’t like he was missing in their lives, probably his income wasn’t much to meet their expectations. Let’s admonish them to show gratitude. Some fathers run from their responsibilities even when there’s no doubt about the paternity of their children.
These girls need to seek counseling ASAP. I'm not making excuses for him but sheesh. He could've walked away like so many of them but he didn't. My mom couldnt afford nikes when we were growing up so I became the 1 college grad on both sides of my family so I could afford them for her and I. They are young but so immature and I hope they find healing because he didnt abuse or neglect them
My parents could afford Nikes & a lot of other things. We got $25 of a present(s) for our bday & Christmas when my brother & I were teens growing up in the '80s. We paid for our cars & college (well, I did as my brother was killed before that), etc. We were thankful for what we got; I swear it helped make us better human beings. P.S. My daughter would do ANYTHING have had her father be in her life after our divorce (she was 8 yrs old when he abandoned her) instead of having a new family that eventually that made it seem like he replaced his 'daddy's girl.'. I would have loved to respectfully co-parent without any child support at all (I didn't get any but time would have been more than enough if he had given it to her).
You can see that he really thought he wasn't the father and when he found he was - he was SO happy! This man for 18 years thought that for sure he wasn't the father and still was there cuz they needed one. Now you need to give him credit for it!
Rodnea needs to chill man. He may not have even been in the BALLPARK of perfect, but he still stepped up through all the doubt. So chill. Stop being an impudent brat. Like, yesterday.
There was no need for doubt when he could have tested them at birth. Why are people so willing to exalt men who do their best to skirt parenting? Bums with excuses!
LQL Not everyone can afford the test. He has said from the beginning that he had doubts. He was going by the mother’s actions and what the doctor said.
Never Knew , So you noticed too? Could that have prompted their difficult relationship and the paternity denials? The dad seemed to have regretted running his mouth to the family.
I agree 💯 ! I get $700 in cs a month for 5 kids :-( he acts like he does so much for them to .. he only gets them when it's convenient for him and when I say something he always says well I pay support for them , it's sad ..
If he’s not using the money to provide for them, but using it to supply his life habits and entertain guest over then it’s enough for him to be content with
But they could understand especially if the cousin said the same thing that their mother was messing with a white man and that's what made him think that it was a white man because he knew she was messing with a white man too so they should not be that angry

I haven't watched the results yet but I have to say I feel bad for all three of them. I also understand the heart that they're feeling and the frustration. This is just a sad situation all around. I hope they're able to resolve it and remain as a family whatever the results are Edit: one thing I will say until these young ladies become mothers themselves they can't understand that parents do make a lot of mistakes. I hope they can forgive him
The one on the right, especially. Jerking away from his hugs... twice. That man truly believed he was raising another man’s children and it speaks volumes that even they admitted they had never suspected one thing until now. How many times do you see kids on here who have suspected something their whole lives because they are treated differently. This man didn’t treat them differently. He just didn’t have enough money to buy them every little single thing they wanted. I felt so sorry for this man, and I’ll openly admit that it is a rare thing for me to be on the man’s side.
I think they had their minds polluted when their maternal grandmother told them he's taken them in bcoz of money! This should be a big lesson to most men not to deny any girl's pregnancy, after all, it's a little angel that's going to be born into this world! I pray they will all heal fast & love ones another passionately
Being twins doesn't mean they'll have the same personality and this is a clear case. One is easily loving but the other is tougher and that's how they roll. He doubted but he was there and you can see the love in some unspoken words. I hope they can chart a better course together.
I never knew my father. He didn’t ever contact us or pay child support even through my parents had been married. He ran off with a 16 year old girl when my Mom was pregnant with me. He died when I was 19 and still didn’t reach out to us as he lay dying in the hospital. My point is - give your father a chance, girls, he wants to make amends.
Same here, my father was not in my life at all. I feel this man loves his daughters and wants them in his life. I feel they all should forgive and move on. Try to make the relationship better.

I couldn't believe after court that they told him that HE needed to quit making mistakes 🤔 Neither of the twins is perfect, because none of us are. Why were they reading a private journal? They seem a little self-centered and need to mature before they have children of their own and realize that it isn't an easy job, especially when you have other people making denigrating comments about you like the grandmother did. I worked with a lady whose sister died and the siblings were all fighting because they wanted the children because of the SS benefits and other benefits, even though some of them lived out of state and barely knew the children. The judge awarded her custody because she had always been in the children's lives, but she had to live with the hostility and try to shield the children from their behavior including the lack of interest once they weren't given custody. It wasn't easy.
She definitely did. She was like dad stop I don't want your hugs and kisses but really she was thinking my daddy!!! That's why she started crying after the results. That's the reason he started talking directly to her. They named her properly right after him because she is him all over again.

That one twin aggravating. Girl nobody is perfect either forgive or don’t be bothered with him, but all that you’re doing is too much.
Right because he could have been like most fathers not sign the birth certificate and walked away even if he knew that they mother had passed away he could have kept walking but he made a choice to be in their life like he said he signed because he wasn't sure if those with his kids and he had a thought came over him saying these kids going to need you one day and that was God speaking to him but I don't think you realize that that was the Holy Spirit that was God thank you Jesus
I thought the exact same!!! Noone is perfect not even your dad!!
I thought the same thing! I thought she was really rude to him. Did you see how she pushed him away at the end and wiped his kiss off her cheek like he had “cooties”?! I could see why they didn’t get along at home ... she’s a little on the nasty side. But she should be happy that this man did take her and her sister in after her Mother passed away. He tried his best and apparently his best isn’t good enough for her. Really ungrateful!

Yes they are
They overspeak so much I can barely understand the story
I said, “Stop it!!!!” a few times to the TV! 😂
Gurl EYee what?
The story was patchy. The daughters had no evidence of neglect.
It was clear that there was plenty of room for improvement on the dad’s part. His mother told him.
Twins. I have a set...it's what they do. :-)
It's sad that this man doesn't get enough credit for what he did... being in their lives and doing the much he could for these girls. Especially the one with the short hair. It could have been worse for them if wasn't there at all. I hope they realize that. Good man (not perfect) but deserve all the respect for doing what he could with the little he had.

U don't have to be the biological father, a father is the one who brings them up.
The real father is supposed to bring em up, unless some natural occurrences, u wrong for that(+_+)(*_*)
So true
But anyone can be a dad..
No you don’t have to be the biological father to take care of a child but you should be. There may come a time when you have a biological child of your own and that child deserves to have it all and shouldn’t have to share the resources that you as a man have acquired with the child of another man and that was birthed by a woman that’s not your mother. Men should stop taking care of children that are not biologically theirs, it is unfair to your children and teaches irresponsible women that they can continue to have babies by men that do not stick around.
but the father who brings them up should actually be their biologicol father
Bruh, he is a real man, he took in these kids in raised them while doubting if he is their father

I'm a living witness to the complexion can't be trusted. I'm darker than shoe polish😁
My wife is chocolate. But our son's complexion is light. He looks exactly like me just light and has my mother's/his grand mother's eyes. When he was born I laughed saying God has a sense of humour. I can remember my little niece saying her aunt had a white baby😂 He got a little darker.
My sister's oldest son is the same. She is chocolate the father was very dark but my nephew's complexion is light. My son and my nephew favor my mother's father, their great grand father, very tall and light but all the children and grand children have my mother's facial structure (big cat eyes and high cheek bones, her strong genes). I wasn't fond of that part growing up as boy having eyes like woman😶

I hope the girls can realize what he did for them, even with him thinking he wasn’t their dad. When their mom passed, they could’ve ended up in foster care or worse, if he hadn’t been there. No one is perfect and he actually was a standup guy these two are not his only kids and he raised them alone of course things aren't going to be perfect but the fact that he was there from the beginning with two girls is a beautiful thing. It's hard to raise kids let alone two girls. I believe he did his best regardless of what he thought in his head. I pray they grow together from this.
It kinda feels like it doesn't matter how much or how little he does for them they still won't see him as enough. Telling him to be quiet and stop making mistakes?? He's human. We all make mistakes.

I couldn't believe after court that they told him that HE needed to quit making mistakes 🤔
Neither of the twins is perfect, because none of us are.
You touch peoples money, you touch their heart. Of course, I'm being sarcastic.
don't agree that "things are better left closed" - he should never have had to live with the doubt and they all deserve the truth
shrug 18, I agree with you 1000%. You are absolutely right. 😊👍
She keep on pushing him away like she don't want to be hugged but she desperately does
She definitely did. She was like dad stop I don't want your hugs and kisses but really she was thinking my daddy!!! That's why she started crying after the results. That's the reason he started talking directly to her. They named her properly right after him because she is him all over again.
They lost their mom at 8 and happened in front of them. Then they had to move to be with their father. My heart aches for both of them. Specially the one who is angry at her dad. She needs more love. Wish them success in their lives.
Yeah the fact that it happened in front of them really hurt me because my daughter's 8 rn and I dont even wanna imagine that kind of pain
This man tried his best. He may not have been the best but he’s theirs. Some compassion needs to be given to him too. Our men are broken and don’t always know what to do.
We're alway's alway's making excuses for men. God created him first. Woman came from the man's rib. If he did his best...HE SHOULD HAVE CONTINUED!!!! Children don't ask to be here!!!
You are telling the truth. The mom was no angel either. They just need to forgive and go on.
He tried even though I really believe he didn't believe he was their father. In a world where soooo many of our black fathers walk away knowing completely that they are the father, it's refreshing to see that he tried and was there.

Circumstances look like he might not be the dad. They have lighter skin obviously. But he decided when they were born to look out for them anyway? That man should be praised for that.
Thumbs up to the jugde if you believe what she said : "sometimes people can only do better when they know better"
That's so true
But it's also an excuse to excuse inexcusable behavior. It is used as a cop-out to not apologize; and to ignore the past abuse.
That was great I was pulling for this man the whole show you can see the love and connection clear as day
