Moths are bad at escaping threats compared to other insects (especially the large ones), and many moth species adapted to not try escaping at all, because flying or moving around would reveal them to predators. They'll instead stay still and wait for the threats to go away, relying on their camouflage to prevent detection. You can even see in the video how the moth just tries to get stable footing on the guy's hand and as soon as it does it stops moving completely. It's not that it trusts him, it's just that it instinctively knows that the best way to survive an encounter with a creature 10000 times it's size is to stay still and let it's camouflage protect it. (It likely isn't even aware that the thing it's standing on is still part of the massive creature that it's trying to evade) This isn't just a thing with big moths either, many smaller species of moths will also also act like this when threatened.
