Aster works great. I use it to share one ryzen 7 computer with my wife to play WoW together. My only complaint is you can't use more than one monitor per workstation while using aster.
It's about $12 a year or $50 for lifetime license.
I just found a solution to this problem, you can have multi monitors with only one video card. Check out the ASter forum in the problem and solutions section, the thread is called "Multi Monitor Solution With only 1 GPU Video Card!" Good Luck!

most PC have one VGA and another DVI port atleast. so you will be able to connect two monitors without problem

I have a display port and Vga port in my PC, the two monitors have only Two HDMI ports (HDMI1 & HDMI2) so in this case i have one Dsplay to HDMI port converter that is working fine, but VGA to HDMI converter is not working simultaneously, kindly assist me but keep in mind i need two different displays Thank you

Ok this is gonna be a long stupid question, I have a gaming PC, 2 monitors. When I play dead by daylight on steam , my mouse gets locked on the game monitor and I can't scroll over to other monitor to mess with obs or anything unless I hit the windows key on keyboard. But in doing that it pops up the menu screen, and if your streaming game play it looks very mediocre and not eye appealing

After Installing the setup I am not able to access internet on many apps like spotify , steam, and many websites only youtube is working any solutions.

you can not see what other users are doing but you can restrict other users using windows' own user policies.
My PC's USB HUB is 1/16 ports, so no issue connecting keybord, mouses, But i have only 1 VGA port… i need atleast 4 workstations. What is the solution?
Buy a cheap graphics card. I will recommend a GeForce GT-710 or GT-740. These costs around $50 . But handle up to 3-4 monitor (1080p ) . For normal use other then gaming.

No mention of the Windows license problem? Desktop versions of Windows are licensed for 1 user at a time. You need windows server and RDP licenses to legally do this - even if you're using all local physical keyboards/monitors.
Why don’t you give it a try. We tried this with Windows8, Windows 7 and Windows 10. And please provide the information about the source about single user login at a time.Its kind of misunderstanding you have I guess

No its not, there is no misunderstanding, all Windows products have a restriction regarding concurrent sessions, which this product violates. Its technically illegal. Only server versions allow legal concurrent sessions.
China does not have to worry about Windows concurrent session restriction in license or licenses in general until recently. In all other countries we do. Avoiding illegal Chinese software beneficial it probably is to do.

Can I assign a user its own drive? Like my main PC runs with m.2 and aster user will use a separate dedicated SSD? Will this allow me to run 2 instances the same game? And will this give me 2 different IP?
aster is awesome only if they had something that will make it think what is open on one user is not open at all for the other user so you can open 2 steam accounts and certain games warframe

Go to system policies and lock the users account to login from specific setup
Playing Fortnite is now possible. Start the game from one user then, in second user open task manager and Close the fortniteLuncher.exe.( Do not close fortnite win64 supply exe). Then start the second game my fortniteluncher.exe again.

aster is a good program and it works really well...BUT it interferes with geforce experience,which will cause tons of gaming issues. my apex legends would only rut at 720p while aster was on my pc.

@@ethanthomas2672 yes, but the problem is that we needed it running full time. It's not an easy program to use, but once you get it down pat, it's a lifesaver.(obviously 2 PCs are always better)
@@sambraun7877 yeah that makes sense. I want a PC and my sister wants one but only for like typing so we were talking about finding something like this. Would it be easy to disable it when she is done writing stuff and then enable it when she wants to type. Or at least would be relatively fast?

you can use anydesk to remotely access aster workplace

So I did this it worked, 2 different accounts, works well...but when my friend next to me plays fortnite then I try to start up fortnite it says it's already running...what should I do???
Check whether game is running as administrator or Normal user or else it is your game limitation.
You have to copy game to other drive in order to run it separately
Or create 2 accounts on windows install epic games in 2nd account in a different drive and install fortnite in 2nd drive (just watch how to copy fortnite and use a pen drive) then run fortnite in 2nd screen first then run in 1st window it will crash first time or not connect this is because the port is same connect it or start the program again and it will definitely run

there would be alot of pros and cons. If the comp goes down , all users go down. Also some programs can only be run in one instance, you will have to do alot of work around to get some applications and games to work on more than one workstation. etc
i tried with windows 7 but when i something pops like app asking for administration privilege other user logged in suffers black monitor for a moment. I want to ask if i have on powerfull graphic card with 4 ports can i play low end games on 4 different monitors or i require different graphic card for each user?
You can play from one GPU only.You might need to tweak few things if you are planning to play same game with 4 instances.to avoid black screen administrator privilege pop up. Just open UAC and lower the security there.

Does it split the processor in half like if its an i3 12th gen it splits it onto 2cores and 4threads instead of normal 4cores and 8threads?
it basically distributes your processor resources in each workplaces and it adjust itself on demand, for example if all other users closes all their applications and stop using, then automatically you will have all the resources on your workplaces, no need to disable ASTER

u need a pretty good multi core and threaded cpu, id say 16gb ram and above, if your gaming u will need a solid gpu as the workload will be double and could cap if any hardware isnt strong enough to run it

Hello so you will need to use sandboxie on 1 of the windowses and even probably make diffrent ip adress . Setup > Just open steam with sandboxie and if steam closes when you open it on the other pc then you might need to make another ip and make another copy of steam on the same Drive

Please consult and come back to us again. Concurrent System or VM needs volumetric license. But in this case it does not . A simple point read carefully “ Microsoft ask for licenses for each system but not for each user logging in to a single system”. In a technical term “Core window is running with a single instance but softwares running with individual users” . For an example you may run chrome differently for different users but you can’t start some administrative softwares in multiple users. If you still have doubts please contact Microsoft for more clarification

Great! Mouse, Keyboard all input devices work (Internet too).
The big problem is fortnite does not work.
Epic Games Launcher is started on user 1 from HDD (manually) then i start the game, works fine.
Second User starts it from my USB-SSD (manually) and it says game is already running :(
( When i start Fortnite only on User 2 it stops at 99% loading )

When i start a installation of Aster v.2.21 I make a restore point, accept the terms and conditions and when i click install on next tab is says "System configuration failed." Please help, im on Win10.
do not create restore point.If you can then attach the Installation Log file.

Try hdmi splitter. When graphics card is connected, motherboard display output stops completely

Yes you can use all the ports available for you. VGA + VGA or else VGA + HDMI, Just remember that do not use 1 VGA port of your system with normal splitter to make two. Active splitters may work

Most of the times your system stays ideal or uses half of its resources. So for reference a common home of equipped with i3 or i5 with 2 cores can handle up to 4 users for normal office and internet use.all user will receive internet and also local access with virtual lan for other users for local gaming.
