I used to talk to my son and be like...hey bud, your friend is at the door. He would roll his eyes, put down his homework, walk to the door and I would hear:
"Hey wanna come with us to the park?!"

He would just say yeah. I legit had to teach him to give a reason and be less blunt...instead of doing that maybe you could just say you know, I'm doing homework right now so I don't think I can but maybe later?
Other kids had bikes and skateboards...my kid loved Rubix cubes and bread boards...he built circuits and sat out back shooting his bow with his cat sidekick like some old disgruntled man 😂😂😂😂😂

Some of the laughs weren’t cause the joke was funny (which he was crushing it) it was b/c it ‘sound’ funny. They didn’t know why he said oxtail, that just sound funny to them, but that was hilarious

😂 It was a funny set. He should’ve changed his jokes to work with the crowd. It’s probably not a lot people in Utah…in Mormon country that understood black food and Urban living.

It was definitely the wrong crowd. They couldn’t relate.
Better pacing would have helped. It’s also important as a comedian to know when a line of jokes just isn’t working and when to pivot. Try to have something in your back pocket for next time.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. its difficult to let go of someone you love, i was in a similar situation, my relationship of 12 years ended, but i couldn't just let her go i did all i could to get her back, i had to seek the help of a spiritual counsellor who helped me bring her back

He talks too fast. I had to put on CC and I almost couldn't read that fast. I talk fast. My friends understand but others don't. He was me. Southern, drop endings on words and talk quick. He was amusing but my friends didn't understand him. Wrong crowd.

Not my type of humor, but chuckled a few times. In my opinion, he went a bit too long on the friend with old parents. It became boring. I wouldn't pay to see him, but getting a chuckle here was ok.

This was funny, but I wouldn’t blame the crowd for being a little more quiet. He spent a long time on some of those “grocery list” style jokes where they go on and on and they didn’t land well.
This is a “principle over what actually happened” matter and I hate when people antagonize you over stuff that they know THEY did wrong to avoid accountability. Most annoying thing in the world.
He was hilarious! Unfortunately the the crowd could not appreciate his humor; his jokes and tiny were fantastic. I agree people in the comment section, it was a great set, just the wrong crowd. I would like to see more of him.
I get the sense that’s he’s a preacher. Very much enjoyable to watch him but agreed jokes weren’t the most relatable or funny. He may need to know his audience better. He was a great performer overall.
