Amsoil products are the top of the line in the oil industry and for good reason. Check out my video to see how you can benefit from switching to Amsoil also.

    Amsoil is a legitimate and respectable oil manufacturer/blender. They've been doing this since 1972. Products are always top notch. The MLM style turns some off, but their oil is as good as it gets.

    Everyone's different, but I use the Signature Series in my two Hemi engines, one I change just before winter storage in the fall , the other once in spring and once in fall, although now driving less that might change too. I found the Signature oils make my engines quiet, at least the first 1000 kms or so, and engine runs quite nicely. My other two Chev engines I now run Penzoil Ultra platinum (before ran Amsoil XL Oils) as they are older and less expensive and don't hold thier value, but still at minimum 6 month intervals. Frequent oil changes over the decades I've been doing it has saved me a lot of expensive engine repairs no doubt, as the old Fram add said, "Pay me now or Pay me later" held true. Amsoil is more expensive but still cheap insurance.

    I’ve tried Royal Purple , Casteroil, and several other brands of oil, additives and grease. I also have sent oil analysis help with each of these products and Amsoil always beats them hands-down. like yourself, I watched project Farms oil tests, and that is what got me to try Amsoil. I changed both differential oil‘s and transfer case oil’s in my 2018 RAM and the words, a slight mileage increase along with a definite noticeable, feeling of smoothness in the drivetrain. After changing the transmission fluid to Amsoil as well it also helped improved my mileage along with smoother shifts. I now use Amsoil. I have everything that is mechanical that I own. Whether a lawnmower, chainsaw, and by the way, the bar oil is very good, to my mothers, 2006 trailblazer. She is 83, so why would I not want to make sure she has the best in order to stay safe!? What are your thoughts on the diesel oil for a duramax 3.o engine? From the factory they say to use gm approved dexos d oil. I think your Duramax would benefit greatly using Amsoil Diesel oils. I know it made mine run smoother and quieter at idle. It also brought my oil temp down and pressure went up. Just use engine flush before changing the oil. Put flush in the oil fill hole and let it idle for 15 minutes then drain and do the oil change. Just be careful it will come out thin and really hot. I use signature series Max Duty Diesel oil in mine and love it.

    Amsoil is a great oil but with that said plz change ur oil at 3k to 5k mile intervals for daily city drivings, 5k to 8k mile intervals for highway driving with a good quality oil within ur budget and recommend viscosity as per the manufacturer of ur vehicle. Always change ur oil & air filter with OEM at every oil change to save ur selves thousands in repairs... If ur having a high mileage vehicle it's better to use a high quality oil additive if needed!

      I agree we should maintain our vehicles but changing your air filter every oil change is ridiculous. You’re wasting a lot of money doing that for no reason. I’ve been a mechanic for over 20 years and I would never push that on a customer. I can see maybe once a year depending on the conditions the car is driven in. You might think your saving yourself thousands in repairs but add up how much the filters have cost you and you will find out your losing money.

You went 7,880 miles on this oil and wear metals are in great shape. Iron is especially low. It's from steel parts and it tends to track with oil use. On a per-mile basis, iron is well below average (0.89 ppm/1K miles vs. an average of 1.89 ppm/1K miles) so steel parts are happy and healthy. The TBN was strong at 4.2 since 2.0 is low. Amsoil is not magic. I have used it on some of my vehicles and it was fine. A few months back I tried Amsoil again and sent a sample in for testing. The results were the same as the other high quality oil I was using as far as wear metals go. The oil change interval only matters if you have no intention of keeping your car or could care less about the next owner. After the initial break in of your engine the wear metals will accumulate linearly mile by mile. If you consistently wait 10K or more, you will be asking for trouble. The oil properties may still be fine, but there will be a lot of extra stuff in there that will increase wear in of itself and if enough time passes, sludge.
    You mentioned, lower oil temperatures and higher oil pressures. That could be interesting. How much lower and how much higher?

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely not claiming it’s magic but Amsoil always does what they say it will.
      My old Ram I just sold with the Hemi would be around 275 oil temp when towing our camper when I first bought it with regular oil in it. When I switched to Amsoil it would consistently be around 240-245 when towing the same camper.
      As far as oil pressure is concerned both of my Rams with regular oil would stay around halfway on the gauge on acceleration. Unfortunately the gauges don’t show you pressure but once Amsoil was in them the gauge will go past half on acceleration compared to before. My guess would be 5-10 psi. I never put an oil pressure gauge on them to know for sure but I can see it on the factory gauge in the cluster.

      Amsoil is a blender, not a manufacturer. They buy their base oil from ExxonMobil. They buy the additive package from Lubrizol. An acquaintance works in engineering at Lubrizol. When asked about Amsoil he was very clear that he couldn’t get into detail due to a confidentiality agreement between Amsoil and Lubrizol. Here’s what he did say. “They buy the very best base oil that ExxonMobil makes. They buy the very best additive package that Lubrizol makes. Put them together and you have a pretty good oil”. No magic, just chemistry.

    Scamsoil. Guys, change your oil regularly with any API certified oil and your engine will be the last component to die in your car. No need to pay 4x as much for oil.

      You’ve never used Amsoil have you? I thought the same thing for years until I tried it and the rest is history. Over 20 years of being a mechanic I have seen customer religiously maintain their cars and still have engine problems. With todays engines have such tight tolerances and especially these engines that shut certain cylinders down at high way speeds need a really good oil. Ever heard of Pre Ignition Detonation? Amsoil prevents that and your other oils won’t.

      Also take a moment and watch Project Farms video on all the oils. You will see there is a difference
