I really appreciate you telling people to avoid The Meta and immediately jumping at combo learning. That for sure keeps people away from learning these games.
I always tell people to watch the Polygon video about getting into fighting games. It has some great advice and helped me kick off my Guilty Gear Strive career.
As someone who hasnt played a fighting since Street fighter 4, i Got Tekken 8 after watching evo matches on youtube, and heard the new one was coming out late January, it wasnt on gamepass so decided to risk it and buy it day one. I play with friends and fam on offline VS mode mainly with occasional online rank with just me, and Dude its so fun 😂 a great party game to play when we get together and hangout. All of us just using the few moves we know, button mashing, and reacting to combos we accidentally pull off is great! Im having a blast playing so far! Also found another good channel, loving the vids man. Just Subbed 🎉
For sure! I've always found that fighting game content leans towards the competitive angle so it was nice to put something together that sort of avoids that.
Thank you for the review! My last tekken was 3 when i was but a little kid and jumping back into this one just feels incredible. The nostalgia mixed with just how legit great this game is is an incredible feeling. I'm very bad at the moment, but I'll try my best for sure haha Also, somw great advice about not looking at the guides and picking someone who's looking cool to you. I've seen a lot of the same sentiment online and it's nice that people heavily advice against meta and all that. Love Hwoarang personally, but he's a bit too difficult for mw atm, so I'm going for some other cool peeps like Paul and Victor 😄
Thank you for watching and I'm really happy you've jumped back in! Probably the best time too considering how good the game is! Victor is great fun! I can't use Hworang either 😭 he doesn't make sense to me. I'm glad you're having a good time with the game though it doesn't matter if you're good or bad as long as you're enjoying it
@@goobula I love the game, just jumped out of almost a 10h long ranked session with Paul 😂 Have to say, the community is surprisingly great! Sure, some bad apples here and there, but most people are respectful, no tbagging, emote spamming or anything. Even made 1 new acquaintance after a very intense sesh, agreed to spar sometime in the future!
This game is what tekken is supposed to be. tekken 7 was the shittiest game i’ve ever played compared to all the other games and i am an experienced player
@@josesoldevilla3092 there were issues as you would expect from a 52 character with limitless tag team combinations you can do but that game is like tekken 5 one of the most complete fighting games i´ve ever played. What is missing from tekken 7 is the quality of the content and the FUN, the game is boring and 7 is not balanced at all. About the balancing it is impossible to perfectly balance a game with 52 characters with endless tag Combinations. But it is a good game. Tekken 7 is a unfinished rushed piece of shit of a game
This game was so complete, it was the first game in 10 years that I bought at full price.
And it really feels worth it. Like I know I'm going to be playing this on and off for years.
I really appreciate you telling people to avoid The Meta and immediately jumping at combo learning. That for sure keeps people away from learning these games.
For sure! People get intimidated and rightfully so. All Tekken content is usually professional tournaments or crazy combo videos.

Well the casual take encapsulates the majority of the player base, so it's nice to see this sort of angle!

Got Tekken 8 also, no regrets
For real, I get so much buyers remorse when buying games full price. But not for Tekken
No regrets for me
7 had a story mode alongside the arcade mode on release
I did! But as a package it felt lacking. Especially in comparison too 8.

sf6 where?
I'm confused by the question 😂

Tag 2 for me it's unbalanced
Cool tekken 8 for costumization of musics for all tekkeb in any stage

Its the best tekken game cuz tekken always improves. Unlike MK.
I gotta agree there, MK has always felt to same to me
@@goobula exactly, like sure maybe the MK formula worked well for a couple of installments but after all these years, got super stale imo.
