Yeah, I got the same intake. I had gotten the supposed heat shield from Weapon R, but it was nowhere near designed for the Gs300. Fitment was off on every level. Ended up returning it. And I went with a K&N air filter inside. Overall I like it. In the process of fabbing a better bracket for it. I live in California, so this is the only CARB legal intake left on the market for the Gs.
You actually lose power running a short tube cone filter on something with a stock cold feed air box like the GS. You raise intake temps, reduce airflow and hurt your mileage.
Super dope video! Got a couple questions! What’s the difference between the HPs and the SRT intake? Also what’s the advantage of having that box that’s missing in the intake that you have now?
I think it helps the colder air get to the actual cone better since it is all the way to the front like that. Versus the one now I have that kind of just sits there.
OceanShaud honestly I think the hps is the better move. Takes advantage of some of the stock air box and is still closed off well from the heat exhaust manifold. SRT people told me to look into them if I could find one. Honestly couldn’t lol

M D. Nah it was pretty good. Even after I have done the full length exhaust. With new midpipe and headers.
